Did you hear?

That's the boy who injured a little girl.

How heartless.

His parents must be ashamed.

I wouldn't be able to handle the disappointment that they must be feeling.

Such a shame.

And I thought he was a good boy.

The gossips could be heard as clear as day as Feng walked along the path to his home. He saw the numerous looks of disappointment and shame his neighbours gave him as he walked by.

Every day was the same routine. He'd go to his new high school, where everyone avoided him because they all had already heard of what happened. Then he'd walk home, where everyone who walked by would simply stare at him in disgust. And lastly, he'd arrive home.

That was the worst of it all. He couldn't face his parents after what had happened and his parents couldn't even look at him without having the urge to snap.

It was as if the entire world didn't want him to forget about what happened. About that very day where everything went downhill.

"You dumbass, can't you see that car!?" Was all I heard when bright lights and loud screeches overtook the entire atmosphere.

I was left speechless and bewildered. It happened so incredibly fast. Far too fast for me to even process what was happening.

I looked over to the road and saw the little girl. Since when was she there?

I was so focused on my childish teasing that I hadn't paid any attention to what was happening in my surroundings.

Zixin was right when he called me an idiot. I really am an idiot. I didn't want this to happen. I didn't mean for any of this to happen.

And now, it all falls on me. I prevented Xiao from helping the girl. Zixin wasn't able to do anything either.

How could I be so oblivious as to not notice something so obvious.

She's hurt and it's all because of me.

○●○

The rumors are getting worse day by day. People continue to ask me about the accident.

They say shit like "Is it true that you're the cause of her injury?" Or "Did you really prevent someone from helping the little girl?"

Why can't they all just shut the fuck up. It's not as if it's any of their business. I understand my mistake, I understand I am at fault.

But they have no need to rub it in on my face. I just want to be left alone. Can't a single day go by where I don't need to be reminded of this?

The amount of regret I feel is overwhelming. It's too much to handle.

If only.

If only the driver had stopped sooner.

Then this wouldn't have happened, right?

It's not completely my fault, right?

I'm not a completely shit person... right?

Haha, who am I kidding. Nothing I think will ever change anything.

Only actions will.

I need to do something. I can't keep going like this any longer. I only hope I can forgive myself if I do end up doing something I'll regret later on.

Currently, your arms were locked by Feng's grip and the others stood there contemplating on what they should do.

You debated whether you should just head butt him to escape or simply kick him, since you were getting tired of this entire scenario.

"Let her go." Xiao continued trying to reason with Feng, especially since he didn't want to resort to violence to get you out of his grasp.

But Feng remained persistent. Heizou sighed while Zixin shook his head. "He won't listen."

"Then I'll force him to listen," Xiao said while taking a step forth.

"Stop," Feng warned him once again, to which Xiao narrowed his eyes at.

"Don't come closer," He continued. "Just let me go bro," You deadpanned, being completely fed up. Feng clicked his tongue as he seemed to be deep in thought. A few moments of silence had passed before Feng had finally lost it.

"I won't let Y/n go. They'll pay. You'll all pay. I won't let them go! I won't let them—"

Everyone's eyes widened as someone or rather something collided against Feng's head, immediately knocking the brunette out.

"That was too hard you idiot!— I mean. You incompetent fool." You heard a feminine voice come from behind, causing you all to turn around.

There, you saw a light purple headed female with a frustrated look. But her eyes were focused elsewhere.

"It's fine. He was talking too much anyway," Another voice spoke, to which you turned your heads once more back to Feng, where the voice was coming from.

You saw an indigo haired male standing there while holding a stick. "Did you... knock him out with a stick?" You blinked, bewildered.

"Yeah," He admitted with a straight face.

"Scaramouche, you better hope that hit wasn't too hard. What will happen if he ends up forgetting about all of this?" Keqing facepalmed herself while shaking her head.

Xiao approached Feng's body as he crossed his arms. "Don't worry about him forgetting. I'll make sure he remembers," He said, while furrowing his eyebrows.

"Right..." Keqing shuddered before turning to face the rest of you. "Are you guys alright?"

"We are," You reassured her, as the others nodded.

"Wonderful. And don't worry about Feng, I'll deal with him. He'll get the punishment he deserves," She said with a smile. You nodded at her with a hum.

"Thanks for the assistance," Xiao said to the two, before facing Scaramouche. "You're welcome, I guess," The other short male responded, with his face still being expressionless.

Everyone exchanged relieved glances as you took in a deep breath. "Hu Tao is probably waiting for us," You sighed.

"Mhm, you guys should probably tell her what happened," Keqing suggested, to which you agreed.

The rest of you began preparing to head back to school. You trusted Keqing to take care of Feng and Xue, so you weren't too worried about them.

As you all were preparing, you noticed more company approaching you.

While averting your gaze to where the noise was coming from, your eyes widened when you saw a purple headed little girl walking your way with another lady.

"Qiqi?" You uttered, surprised by her sudden appearance.

Once the little girl saw you, a wide smile appeared on her face as she began running to you.

"Wait Qiqi!" You noticed her crossing the road in a hurry and anxiety quickly overwhelmed you as you slowly began recalling the past.

And before you could realize what was happening, a wave of flashbacks overtook you.
