"Aw, you're worried? But y'know, I'd be more worried about yourself than him."
"What will you do?" You asked, while furrowing your eyebrows.
"Whatever I'll need to. You got us expelled, now we'll make sure you'll both receive the same punishment," He threatened.
"Us both?"
"Xue will keep provoking Xiao till Xiao ends up fighting him. We've already called your school, letting them know that Xiao's fighting with someone. All they need to do is watch Xiao fight and baam, he'll be expelled," The brunette explained proudly.
You shook your head in disbelief. This was a horrible way of getting back at you both.
"You mean you'll both risk getting in trouble again just for petty revenge? You're crazy. You'll get yourselves arrested this time."
"Shut up. We've got it planned, nobody's getting arrested," He said, while letting out a brief scoff.
While you were still astounded by his stupidity, you needed to find a way to get to Xiao and warn him. He couldn't fall for this ridiculous plan, you had to get out of Feng's grasp.
The only issue was how?
You tried tugging your arms again but he was grabbing tightly onto both. That's when you looked downwards, your legs were still free. Perhaps kicking him would do the trick.
You quickly extended your leg and before you could kick him, he pushed it away. You winced in pain as he pushed you backwards against a nearby tree, pinning you against it.
You desperately looked around, in the hope of finding somebody to help you, but it was to no avail. You couldn't see anyone nearby. Slight panic rose within you as you glared at the brunette before you.
"You'll get yourself in shit for this Feng, it's not too late to back out," You warned him, hoping he'd finally stop. But the male resisted.

"Shut up, you talk too much. Why don't you keep silent till Xue returns, alright?"
But you refused. You pushed your body forward, trying to force him out of your way but he easily pushed you back, causing you to let out a small gasp. In irritation, he continued tightening the grip on your arms, which made you flinch.
"Now that's no way to treat a lady/guy." Someone spoke from afar, making your eyes slightly widen.
"Huh?" You both turned your heads and saw a certain auburn headed boy standing not too far, with his arms crossed and a brow raised.
"Who the hell are you?" The brunette asked him.
"Why don't you let Y/n go first then we can chat, yeah?" Heizou asked in return, placing a finger on his chin.
"Shut up, shorty. Back off, this is none of your business."
"Xiao will kill me if I let you hurt Y/n, so it is very much my business. And besides, you're annoying." Heizou rolled his eyes, earning a scoff from the brunette.
"If you don't back off, I'll hurt you as well."
Heizou seemed rather amused after hearing the brunette's threat, giving him a grin in response. "Then fight me."
"Wait." You quickly stopped them both. "Let's not fight. We need to get to Xiao first."
Heizou stretched his arms as he yawned. "Don't worry, I won't take too long."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean? What happened to Y/n?" Xiao glared at Xue, who was only smiling at him.
"Why are you so worried about them? Y/n hurt that kid. If anything, you should be furious with them. I wouldn't want anything to do with the very person who caused all of my problems. Yet you're still dating th-" Before Xue could continue, Xiao grabbed his face.

"If you don't shut that dirty mouth of yours, I'll kill you." His golden gaze only grew more fierce.
Xue tried speaking but couldn't with his face being squished by Xiao's grip.
"You should let him go. After all, you're doing exactly what he wants." Xiao heard someone speak from behind, causing the male to quickly turn his head.
His eyes slightly widened after seeing a tall black headed male coming their way. Xue also seemed surprised by Zixin's sudden appearance, causing him to immediately tense up.
"Zixin?" The blonde mumbled.
"Xue. What are you doing?" Zixin asked him, nonchalantly.
"We're going to get payback. You should join us," He explained with pride.
"No. I don't know what you're both planning but it's bound to fail, so give up," Zixin retorted while crossing his arms.
"You're taking... his side? Wow. I expected better from you," Xue shook his head in disbelief, "How disappointing."
"I'm only doing what's sensible. You're both falling further down into the very hole you're trying to climb out of. Refrain from doing anything more foolish and accept what's already happened."
Xiao stood there watching the two argue, while thinking of a way to escape this scenario and get to you. But for now, he could only wait.
"Feng wants revenge. He won't be convinced otherwise. I'm only doing what I have to," Xue explained further.
Zixin shook his head. "You don't need to follow after him. Leave that idiot and escape this while you can."
"But— I can't! Feng won't like it if I betray him. Like how you betrayed us. How could you take Xiao's side? Aren't you upset he got you suspended?"
"You mean we got me suspended. And we got you and Feng expelled. The mistake was ours."
"But—"
Xue began second guessing everything. He didn't really want to do this in the first place until Feng had convinced him to do so.
And seeing Zixin now made it all the more difficult for him to comply.
The blonde boy simply stood there, conflicted.

When the first reports came in of infected animals dragging people alive off into the forest... then the real panic began. Towns fell to the Blight, then cities. Armies were sent to push it back, and were overrun. Heroes and legends ventured out, to no avail.
