As planned, you were on your way to find Zixin during lunch. His homeroom was a tad bit far from yours so you had to rush there.
But when you arrived, you wished that you had taken your time. You noticed that Xiao was already there and the two were talking. You approached them slowly.
"Zixin," Xiao called out to him. Zixin looked sideways at Xiao as he walked out of his homeroom. "Oh. Xiao."
Xiao crossed him arms, glaring at him. Silence followed as he was finding the right words to say.
You, on the other hand, hesitated to approach them any further. You feared what Xiao's reaction would be if you did. But nonetheless, you took a deep breath and went for it.
You had to only take a few steps forward for Xiao to notice you. And when he did, you saw see his eyes widen a bit as his body tensed up. You felt the entire atmosphere grow cold the moment he saw you.
"I— need to talk to you," you spoke, glancing at Zixin who only raised a brow at you. "And you are?"

"Y/n," you replied briefly. His eyes widened after hearing your name. "You're the driver?" he said, a bit surprised. You simply nodded in response.
Xiao averted his eyes from you. "I'll come back later then," he said while turning around to leave.
But you immediately stopped him. "Wait no— if you need to talk to him, you can go first," you said while avoiding eye contact.
Xiao furrowed his eyebrows and let out a sigh. "I'd rather speak to him alone."
You were taken aback by his response. "But—" you mumbled before being cut off by him.
"I said I'd rather speak to him alone. If you want to talk to him, then I'll leave. But if you want me to speak first, then you'll need to leave," he spat out, sounding more harsh than intended.
His words did slightly sting, but you couldn't blame him for this behavior. After all, he had every right to be upset with you.
Though, if you remained here any longer, you felt like you'd find yourself bursting into tears. To prevent that, you quickly took a few steps backwards and turned around. "I'll leave then." And so you did.
After your sudden departure, Zixin shook his head. "That was kinda harsh."
Xiao flashed him a frustrated glare. "Shut up. I said what I needed to."
"Right. And what did you want to talk about?" Zixin asked, despite knowing the answer.
"Why the hell didn't you do anything?" Were the only words that came out of Xiao's mouth.
Zixin sighed while rubbing his neck. "To be completely honest, I don't know myself. But I realize my mistake cost a lot. You can blame me if you want. It doesn't matter to me whether you hate me or not."

"I'm not looking for someone to blame. I only want an explanation on why you didn't do anything when you saw the kid."
"And I told you why. I don't know."
"Is that really all you have to say?" Xiao narrowed his eyes and took a step forward. "I don't care about blaming you. But your two dogs that held me back from saving the girl, are the ones whose mistake cost a lot."
"I know, but I'm not in charge of their actions. Besides, they've already paid the price. Now, I have a question to ask you as well."
Xiao raised a brow. "What question?"
"It's easier to blame yourself for what happened, isn't it?" He asked, causing Xiao to flinch.
"What do you mean?"
"I wonder who you blame for all of this. Do you blame me? Feng and Xue? Y/n? Or perhaps yourself."
"Why does it matter to you who I blame?"
A bitter smile made it's way onto Zixin's face as he chuckled. "Tell me, do you know the state Qiqi's in? What will happen if her condition worsens?"
"I don't know."
"What do you think speaking to me will accomplish? Or being harsh to Y/n? When in the end, you'll still end up blaming yourself."
"Why don't you stop speaking nonsense and just answer my question so I can leave." Irritation grew within Xiao. Although Zixin was speaking the truth, he couldn't help but be more and more pissed off by his words.
"I already answered your question. You won't find satisfaction by simply speaking to me. You should focus on yourself instead," he crossed his arms.
"I've focused on myself to the point of being sick of it. I don't think hating myself for this will do anything either."
"It won't, so why not be patient? You won't be able to find solace by blaming yourself."
"You're the last person I expected to hear that from," Xiao spoke bitterly. While Zixin remained calm.
"I know. But I'm tired of the blaming. I'm certain you are too. And Y/n as well."
"Why do you keep mentioning Y/n?"
"Why are you avoiding to talk about Y/n? You don't blame them, do you?"
"No, I just—" Xiao cut himself off. He clicked his tongue in frustration as he faced the other way. "Nevermind. I can see talking to you was pointless."
"It was always meant to be pointless. You're looking for something that cannot be found, Xiao. And you can't keep hiding from the truth forever," Zixin told, causing Xiao to look back at him.
"The truth?"
"No matter who you blame, whether it'd be me, Y/n, or yourself– there is nothing we can do to help the kid. You'll need to accept that."
Without saying anything more, Zixin walked away, which left Xiao to think to himself.
Xiao sighed once more. "You're right. There is nothing I can do— except blame my own stupidity."

Re:The Worst System Leveling Turned Me Into A Zombie
Before I reached Lvl. 100, they called me Death God Hei. But when I broke the limit, the System punished me. It cursed me to become this monster. I woke up as a Lvl. 0 again. Dying only brings me back to a save point now. But I don't go back until I die twice. First I suffer as a human, then I hunger as a zombie. The worst part is...I still have to watch when that thing takes over my corpse. I call it the Gray. I can't do anything even when it's hunting down those I'm trying to save. Sometimes, I wonder. When I level, I swear I can hear a voice speaking to me. This thing...can it think? It's like Re:zero crossed with SAO, Solo Leveling, and Tokyo Ghoul Re:The Worst System is a dark, 1st person timeloop story where the main character is slowly driven insane by his ability to respawn at a save point. However, each time he levels, there's a possibility that the next time he dies, the zombie inside him will become too powerful for anyone to stop. So he has to level up a harem...ahem, others, to fight for him against the System. Oftentimes, Hei will get trapped in repeating death loops which are truly terrifying. You've been warned...please don't read if you're not willing to see the darkness all the way through. The light on the other side may be a long ways away...I'll be trying to post on Thurs/Sundays, but honestly, depending on how I'm feeling, chapters could come out at some wonky times. 8 214Man of Earth
Magic is a terrifying force. Logic itself is subject to this energy, which is (logically speaking) impossible for us to comprehend. Every universe requires some version of magic to exist. That is, all but one. Our world functiouns based on a powerful and intricate net of laws that act independently from magical interference. The most notable of these is the human brain, which is capable of even more than its creator had thought possible. Naturally, this prompted the question: "How would a human fare in a world of magic?" Soon, there was a bet. Next, a human was selected. Finally, an odd young man with a strange black hat was introduced to his new world, and all restraints were removed.
8 73The Legends of Granis Book 1: The Evergreen Forest
Granis, a world full of mysteries and legends. A world where seven realms have been bound together and adventurers travel abound to find adenture, glory, riches, and many more. Of all the legends that tie this world together, there are two that are most prominant. The tale of seven fallen stars and a lost kingdom, these tales are as old as Granis itself and many write them off as children's stories. A foolish tale for foolish people. Though, of all the guilds that dot Granis and its kingdoms, there is one that holds these legends as true. The Blue Star Guild seeks the truth to these stories and refuse to let anyone dissuade them, for in the words of their master: "The most foolish of tales, make for the greatest of adventures" Image supplied by Shutterstock
8 182The Hand of Sigmar. A Warhammer Fiction.
Adebar von Bolstedt was a normal young Aristocrat once. Third son of the middling von Bolstedt line of Altdorf, capital of the prestigious Empire at the heart of the Old World, but when a quarrel with his brother escalates he decides to leave his pampered home, and soon finds himself stranded in the countryside. When confronted about his presence he claims to be led by the God-King Sigmar, but with the name of the Protector of Mankind come his responsiblities. Soon Adebar finds himself tasked with ridding a town of a mad killer, and settling some lethal family quarrels.Word from the AuthorGreetings! The Hand of Sigmar plays out in the much beloved Warhammer Fantasy setting (owned, of course, by Games Workshop). Do not fret, however, as I've made it a point to make the story digestible even to the uninitiated, and maybe even be a good introduction to the setting. This work will be shorter overall, partly because its born out of a sudden passion, partly because I thought I'd try my hand at a more comfortable story than the grim darkness of the 41st Millenium (psychotic murderer and fraudulent holyman included). Depending on how this does and my time allows more adventures may be coming. While I cannot claim the places, concepts and gods etc. mentioned within as my own, the story and all characters flowed from my own fingers.

8 65A Story That You Wouldn't Want To Read +
You have read stories, any kind of stories, The Uncommon and the Common, The Popular and The Unpopular, The Interesting and the Uninteresting, The Good and the Bad. Well If one would have to choose which one to write it will always be the first to be mentioned but what would unfold before you if you decide it - will be the latter! Because is nothing more extraordinary than telling what is ordinary! P.S. That's just the author rambling about something, something to draw some readers to read a Story that you wouldn't even want to read. Regarding the pace of how I pass new chapters. Won't be doing for a while
