It was the end of the school day. You had just bid farewell to Hu Tao and were headed towards the school exit.

On your way there, you saw a familiar figure. You could recognize the messy teal hair from miles away. It was none other than Xiao.

However, he was standing with someone you did not recognize. The man had long brown hair tied into a ponytail and wore a beige sweater with black pants. He was also incredibly tall.

They both appeared to be talking. You debated whether to approach them or not. But after internally arguing with yourself for several minutes, you decided to just approach them.

"Hello Xiao," you waved at him as he glanced at you sideways, a bit surprised by your sudden appearance.

"Hey," he greeted you back while turning his head to face you.

You looked over at the other man who seemed rather shocked to see you. "Who is this?" The man asked the shorter male.

"Y/n. They joined my club recently," Xiao answered abruptly, not elaborating any further.

The man nodded his head and glanced back at you. "Hello, Y/n. I go by Zhongli. I am Xiao's guardian."

You raised both of your brows at the sudden realization. "Ohh so you're Zhongli."

However, the man gave you strange vibes. He seemed to have recognized you but you didn't recall ever seeing him before.

Perhaps you were just overthinking this and the man was simply surprised to another friend of Xiao's. Or maybe Xiao talked about you to him before, who knows.

You shook your head, trying to remove the thoughts. "Anyway, I'll let you guys be now. Bye bye," you bid farewell and turned to leave.

You could hear Xiao quietly say "bye" from behind as you continued walking.
