"I'll get it. Not even Sal has to climb on the counter, that's sad," Larry sighs and hands me the container.
"Hush. What are we making with this?" I set the two items down on the counter.
"If you have any pumpkin, we can make this cake stuff with it. I don't know what it's called."
"Hell yeah. This better work, I have a limited supply, and the season is almost over," I chuckle and climb on the counter again to get a bowl.
"I just said not to- dude, come on," my companion groans and pulls me off.
"Were they climbing on the counter again?" Sal sighs from the doorway.
"Yes."
"Jeez, I didn't even hear you open the door!" I exclaim, trying to wiggle out of Larry's grasp.
"Nah, dude. You lost your standing privileges."
"My house, my rules," I scoff, still struggling to remove myself from his grip.
"Hand me the child," Sally Face frowns and holds his arms out.
"I'm not five!"
"You're done. You're done. Stop talking," Larry cuts me off and gives me to Sal.
"You're not supposed to pick me up for the rest of the day."
"And you're not supposed to be on the countertop," he sneers.
"I swear to the gods-"
"Ooookay, this is why I don't like leaving you alone," my boyfriend mutters, holding me up by my thighs. "Put your arms around my neck, you're gonna fall."
"If I'm gonna fall, I might as well do it from the- actually, I don't feel like swallowing anyone's glitter glue."
"Good girl/boy/little one."
I groan and loop my arms around his neck. He carries me into the kitchen an nods at the frosting, spice cake mix, and bowl. He better not shut this operation down, I might die if I don't consume an immense amount of cholesterol soon. Well, I'll die either way, actually.
"They said they wanted food," Larry shrugs.
"Hm. So you're making something horrible for their health, and not offering any to me?"
"Had us in the first half, not gonna lie," I chuckle.
"The adults are talking, be quiet," the taller boy snickers.
"You're gonna get bitten when I put them down."
"Damn right."
"OH MY- let's just make some weird pumpkin things, okay?"
- Small timeskip brought to you by Sara, the main character 🤠 -
"Y/n, stop eating the frosting!" Larry screeches, snatching it away from me.
"Give it back," I groan.
"No, we have to put it on the thingy!" he glares down at me while holding it out of my reach.
"No, we don't!" I attempt to pull his arm down, but my feet end up leaving the floor instead.
"Should I tag you in this?" Sal asks, grinning down at his phone.
"DON'T POST THAT!" Larry and I screech loudly in unison.
"I'll just tag y- woah, give that back," he warns me, holding out his hand after I swiped his phone right from him.
"You hiding something?" I raise a brow.
"No, give it back, please," he sighs.
"So you wouldn't mind if I swiped through your camera roll real quick?"
"Come here, or you'll end up swallowing glitter glue anyway."
"You can't make me," I give him a cheeky smile and open his gallery.
"Alright, you're in trouble," Sal frowns and walks toward me.
"You gotta catch me, first," I laugh and take a few steps back.

"Fine by me."
I open the first album I see and swipe back a few pictures. My boyfriend walks toward me and tosses his prosthetic on the table. I move back a bit and continue looking.
"Last chance."
"I'm good," I grin and dash past him, making a run for Larry, who is holding out his arms for me. I make it about 4/5 of the way before Sally Face grabs me by the wrist and pulls me back. I shriek and lose my balance, and my back hits the floor. Nevertheless, I hold the device out of his reach with my free hand. Sal pushes my arm down and pins my wrists on either side of my head as he straddles my hips.
"Drop it," he commands.
"No," I giggle.
He leans forward and puts an elbow on the arm holding his phone and snatches it back swiftly. I groan, annoyed that he knows how to get what he wants. Sal then taps the screen a few times and shows me.
"That's what I was hiding," my partner sighs.
I look at the picture. It's me wearing just the choker he gave me, fluffy socks, and a pair of his sweatpants. I'm laying with my stomach to the sheets and kicking my feet on his bed, facing his TV attentively. Judging by the red marks on my thighs and setting, it was probably after one of our 'sessions.'
"When did you take this?" I ask after a moment. He moves off of me and rests a hand on my knee once I sit up.
"Last week."
"Did you send it to anyone?"
"No, of course not," Sal frowns and shoves it in his pocket.
"Okay then," I shrug.
"You're not mad?"
"No, just tell me next time," I reply, meeting his gaze to show I'm being honest. ()
"Wait, I wanna see," I hear Larry whine from the kitchen.
"No!" Sal yells.
"Okay!" I call to him and snatch Sal's phone for the second time. Unfortunately, I don't get to my feet fast enough, because he sprints in front of me and tackles me. I hit the floor hard, but manage to toss the device to Larry before doing so.
"HAHAHA I DON'T HAVE IT, S-STOP," I wheeze as my boyfriend tickles my sides.
"Okay, give it to me," he chuckles and holds out his hand to Larry after helping me up, who is running a hand through his hair and blushing madly. The taller idiot gives it over and covers his mouth with one hand. I stifle a giggle. Sal elbows me in response, but I end up bursting with laughter instead of shutting up.
"LARRY, YOU LOOK SCARRED-," I cackle.
"I'm not scarred, I've been blessed," he mumbles.
"Excuse me?" Sal interjects.
"Nothin,'" he coughs.
I'm holding onto Sal's arm for support at this point. Tears well in my eyes, and taking deep breaths only makes me laugh harder. Eventually, Sal is laughing a little too, but Larry is still staring off into space. It takes me a while to compose myself, but I manage.
"Please tell me the thingys are done, I feel like I just sat here laughing for like an hour," I sniff.
"There's another minute and a half," Larry says. "Oh my God, are those tears running down your face?"
"Yeah," I wheeze and Sal wipes them with a sigh.
"What about that was so entertaining to you, child?" he chuckles.

"The look on your face. You just stood there with your hand over your mouth and stared off into space, I swear-" I gasp.
"Do you need to be tackled again?" Sal sighs and kisses my cheek.
"No," I sigh and stop laughing (yes). "Okay, I'm done."
"Ayo, I'm not about to burn my hand, come get this shit," Larry says.
I trot over and pull out a towel from a nearby drawer. Then, I wrap it around my hand to pull out the pan. Lastly, I set it on the stove to cool, and smack Larry's hand away. The last step is crucial.
"Let it cool, idiot," I tell him.
"Only if you hug me."
"Okay, weirdo," I chuckle and hug him. He wraps his arms around me and refuses to let go.
"I'm gonna kidnap you, you fell for my trap," my friend declares.
"ACK, SAL-"
Larry immediately lets go upon hearing me call for my guard dog. He nearly shoves me away, but we both know that he'd be in more trouble if he actually did that.
"Mine," Sal frowns and hugs me from behind.
"Yes, now let go," I chuckle as he kisses my neck.
"No," he smiles up at me and continues kissing my skin.
"Okay then."
- Timeskip to next day bc I really do be lazy aha -
"Sal, we're going to get in trouble," I hiss as he pulls me in one of the staff restrooms.
"No we won't, just be quiet," he grins and locks the door.
"You don't always make it easy," I mutter.
"I'm not gonna fuck you this time, don't worry."
"I still can't believe you did that..."
"Look at me."
I look at him.
"I'm not gonna fuck you this time."
"Promise?" I raise my brows.
"Promise."
"Then why are we here?"
"So nobody catches you sucking me off."
"Sal, that includes face fucking," I poke his ribs.
"Okay. We should wait until passing time is over, though," Sal chuckles and takes off his mask to kiss my lips.
I kiss him back and rest a hand on his shoulder. I pull away when he slips his tongue in my mouth, though. I flick his forehead, making both of us laugh.
"Shh," he tells me, pulling me closer by the small of my back. I try to push him off, but my boyfriend pulls me closer instead. I decide it's not worth the struggle and just put my hands on his chest.
Someone knocks on the door. Sal quickly pulls off my shirt without giving me time to think. I look at him with wide eyes. What the hell are you doing?! He covers the bottom of the door with it, blocking any light, so that our shadows won't be visible.
Oh my Gods... To be fair, it was a smart move, but really? I'd honestly rather get caught than wait for him to get another shirt from his locker- assuming this idiot has one. There's no way in hell I'm not throwing that thing out after this. Sal then takes his shirt off and gives it to me. I furrow my brows at him.
"I'd rather walk around the school shirtless than see you do that," he whispers. "Put it on."
"Sal-"
"Do as I say," he glares at me.
I shrink back a bit and put his black Sanity's Fall tee on. He kisses my forehead and smiles softly at me. Apology accepted. I peck his lips and he looks away from me, but I know he just doesn't want me to see that his smile has widened.
"Thank you."
I don't respond. Instead, I hug him, my ear against his chest, listening to his heartbeat. I can never understand how he's always so calm, but listening to his heart helps me chill out sometimes. After a few minutes, I hear footsteps that gradually become softer. When I can no longer hear them, I brush Sal's arms from myself and pick up my shirt, tossing it in the bin. I throw a few paper towels in top, just in case a teacher would recognize it.
"Sorry," my boyfriend sighs.
"It's fine, I can get another," I shrug and unlock the door. "Do you have an extra hoodie in your locker or something?"
"No, but I know Larry does, so I was just gonna take his," he replies and shuts it quietly behind us.
"Ew, why would you do that?" I wrinkle my nose. "It definitely reeks of weed and cheap cologne, and probably has crumbs of bologna on it."
"I mean, better than nothing, right?" Sally Face sighs and puts his mask back on.
"No, not really. I have one of your hoodies in my locker. Let's go before they come back."
"Do you just keep it there?" he chuckles.
"Yep, I would have a lot more panic attacks than I am literally able to comprehend without it."
"Then-"
"I would rather you have a shirt than freeze to death, because there's no way we're staying here. I don't feel like getting called to the counselor's office," I tell him, pulling out a paper clip from my pocket to open my locker. Sal doesn't say anything and opens his locker to grab his stuff. I toss him the hoodie, and he puts it on. We both grab our coats, backpacks, and gloves, then head to the nearest emergency exit.
"Are you okay?" he asks me suddenly.
"Huh? Oh- yeah, just intrusive thoughts scarring me," I respond.
"Would saying them help?"
"Maybe. The most tempting, therefore concerning, is pulling the fire alarm," I say.
"That's... Not actually a bad idea..."
"Are you crazy?" I hiss, grabbing his arm.
"Think about it. Then there wouldn't be any phone calls home, and everyone else gets outta here."
"We are going to get caught. No room for questions. You're not helping," I groan.
"Caught doing what?" I hear someone ask from our right.
I freeze in my tracks and nearly gasp. Sal pulls me back a few steps and holds onto my wrist tightly. Adrenaline rushes through my veins and pushes my thoughts to run millions of miles an hour. Speaking of panic attacks...
"I'm just messing with you," they laugh. I realize it's Travis and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
"I was terrified for a second," I chuckle. "I haven't seen you in a while, how are you?"
"Could be better, honestly. You?" the boy with a black eye walks over to us and smiles casually.
"I'm good," I beam.
"Nice. Anyway, why was Sally Face shirtless like 50 seconds ago?" he furrows his brows and looks back and forth between us skeptically.
"We were hiding in a staff bathroom during passing time to skip, but a teacher came by, so he took my shirt to hide our shadows under the door, so he gave me his. Then I had to grab the extra hoodie of his I keep in my locker," I say in one breath, gasping for air by the time I finish explaining.
"Interesting. Well, I should go. I don't wanna get in trouble. See you around," Travis pats my head.
"Bye," I chirp. Wow, I'm kind of surprised at the physical affection, honestly.
He walks off, leaving my boyfriend and me to ourselves. I open the emergency exit door with a soft smile, and Sal trails behind me as I walk out. As soon as the door shuts, he grabs my wrist and pulls me to the swingset we went to after school on the day we met. He sits down on a swing and pats his lap after dropping his bag in the woodchips.
"Sal, that's not gonna work," I laugh and drop my bag, following suit.
"Yeah, it will," he assures me.
"I don't think so," I giggle and sit on the swing next to him.
"Fine then," he deadpans and moves on my lap.
"DUDE- okay, this isn't going to end up well when you get up," I laugh as he holds onto the chains and puts a leg on either side of me.
"Then I won't get up," Sal grins, pleased with himself.
"Okay, then," I sigh, feigning a look of despair. He takes off his mask and clips it around the chain.
"You're so cute," he mumbles, kissing my lips sweetly.
