Third person pov

Lena and Chris were making breakfast in the kitchen when Selena arrived with a suitcase.

"Whats all this?" Chris asks Selena

"Lena and I talked about the trip to England a week ago so I thought it would ve nice if we went. Just for the weekend you know?" Selena says

"I thought we talked about this. I want to go too."

"You and I both know you can't. You have to be on set today. Besides, I want to spend some time with Lena." She defends.

"How about we ask Lena first?" Chris says turning to Lena.

"I'm in. I just need to pack first." Lena says excited.

"Great. You're leaving me here all alone?" He asks

"There is always Scarlett." Selena snickers.

"Not funny!" He wines.

"What happened? I'm out of the loop." Lena says

"Scarlett came over the other day. She supposedly wanted to talk to Chris. I told her that he's at your's and that he doesn't really want to talk to her at the moment." Selena says looking at Lena.

"What did she say?" Lena asks

"She started crying and then walked back to her car. I felt awful." Selena admits.

"Don't feel bad. This is not on you. I for once have a ton of her messages unopened." Lena says giving Chris and Selena her phone.

"Why don't you just give her a chance to talk to the two of you? What bad can she do from that?" Selena says looking at both Chris and Lena.

"I don't know honey..." Chris says looking away.

"Just let her talk. She clearly has a ton of shit going on." Selena says

"Are you defending her?" Chris asks

"No, god no. I just want her to back off already. So we can go back to our normal live." She says

"What do you say Lena?" Chris asks Lena.

"I don't care. She can talk all she wants. I am not going anywhere close to her." Lena says with disgust in her voice.

"And I won't let that happen. She can come over and I can make us cupcakes." Selena adds.

"God bless your soul Selena but this is something cupcakes can't mend." Lena says chuckling.

"Should I call her today then?" Selena suggests.

"Lets get it over with." Chris says and exits the kitchen.

"Do I tell her to come here?" Selena asks Lena.

"Sure. We can sit in the living room." Lena says putting eggs onto a plate.

"How are you being so calm about this?" Selena asks

"It happened over two weeks ago. I let it go." Lena says

Ever since it happened Lena's been having nightmares every night. The reason why she agreed to even see Scarlett was because she thought that there is a slight chance that those nightmares will be gone once they talk. Maybe they will stop. Who knows.

Over the course of a week Lena has lost a lot of weight. Selena and Chris have been keeping a close eye on her. Trying to get her to do fun activities and not to let her get buried in work for too long. They try to even keep track of how much she eats. Just incase an eating disorder may return.

Selena called Scarlett and they arranged to meet at Lena's apartment three hours from now. Lena serves the food onto the table and sits down next to Chris. They enjoy their food and sit in silence. This mornings events have caused a lot of anxiety to build up in not only Lena but in Chris as well. Chris is someone who loves and cares for his friends more than anyone can imagine and put into words.

He sees Lena as his dearest friend. A few years back if you asked him who is favourite human was. No doubt that he would say Scarlett. Today is much different, unfortunately. Today Scarlett is at the bottom of the list. He began to hate her even. Which is not something he does often ; hate anyone. He is someone who tries to find the light in everyone, even when they can't see it themselves.

Selena on the other hand is feeling very left out. She doesn't feel emotions as strong as Chris and Lena do. This what happened between Lena and Scarlett shook her up but it didn't change the image she had of her. She tried to tell Lena that maybe she regretted cheating and that's why she ran. But she couldn't find an excuse for the pitiful note Scarlett left on her bed side table. If Selena had to pick between Lena and Scarlett, without a second a thought, she would choose Lena. Not because she's basically living with her now. But because Lena did nothing wrong. Lena is only at fault for loving someone as difficult as Scarlett. She adores her. Everyone in their friend group saw the sparkle in Lena's eyes once those two met. They.. they are possibly meant to be. But in this time and place. They are not. They are not even close to that.

They clean up after eating and Selena offers to wash the dishes while Lena goes to pack. It's thursday today so the two have a day to pack and to get going. Lena was putting some shoes in a bag when Selena came to tell her Scarlett had arrived already. .

Slowly but surely, Lena walked to the loving room and sat down next to Chris. She tried to act casual about the cast on her arm but there was no use in hiding it. When Lena looked up she was met with the most breathtaking gaze. Those green orbs focused on Lena and fell to her hand soon after. Lena put her cast into the hoodie pocket and just looked ahead. She tried to gather herself.

You would think Lena would be sad upon seeing Scarlett. On the contrary she was furious. She controlled her rage and focused on the words Scarlett was saying.

"I came here to talk. To both of you." Scarlett speaks up.

"Great. We're listening." Chris says in a hostile manner.

"First I want to apologise to Lena about what I did. I regret it with my entire being and I shouldn't have done that." Scarlett says

"What? You shouldn't have slept with me?" Lena interrupts

"No Its not that! I regret leaving with a note. That was very immature of me." Scarlett defends.

"I don't know what came over me. I panicked and then remembered Colin and just ran. I couldn't. I thought I was risking my family. The baby and all." She says

"How's Colin now Scar?" Chris asks

"He's.. he's gone. We broke it off last week. The wedding is canceled." Scarlett says looking at the floor.

"So now you come crawling back to Lena? After you used her? Acted like she was an object?" Chris yells out

"No! I felt bad. I still feel bad about what I did." Scarlett yell back.

"I don't know why you don't believe me. You out of all people should know what I'm like." Scarlett says to Chris

"Right now I'm in doubt about that myself." Chris says sourly and leaves the room.

"I apologise, I'm gonna go and talk to him." Selena says and runs after Chris. Leaving Lena alone with Scarlett.

"Lena... I.. don't know what to say." Scarlett says

"You don't have to say a thing. You can up and leave any time." Lena says not even looking at Scarlett.

"What happened to your hand?" Scarlett asks Lena carefully.

"I injured it. Not that it is any of your business anyway." Lena says looking down at her cast. Scarlett stands up and goes to sit next to Lena.

"Don't you dare touch me." Lena threatens.

"Lena please."

"I swear to God. Don't make me do something I'll regret." Lena says

"Fine. I'll sit back down." Scarlett says and goes back to her old spot.

"What can I do to make it better?" Scarlett asks

"Make what better?" Lena asks taken aback

"Us. Our relationship. I.. I want to try again. " Scarlett admits.

"How many attempts did you get? I'm not a bloody doormat Scarlett." Lena says

"Please just give me another chance. I promise you won't regret it."

"I have to forgive you first." Lena says

"I said I was sorry."

"No matter how many times you say you're sorry. You're still to blame. It is on me weather I'll forgive you or not. You can say you're sorry and I can say thank you for apologising. But that doesn't mean I have to necessarily forgive you." Lena says angry now.

"I don't know what to do anymore? I want to have you in my life Lena. I want to have you and Chris in my life back again." She admits.

"I can't do that. It is not that simple."

"Just tell me what to do and I'll do it! You want to scream in my face I'm here. I just want to know how you are. I want to know everything about you for god sakes."

"You want me to scream in your face?"

"Yes! Tell me everything that is on your mind!" Scarlett yell.

"Do you know how fucking degrading it is to give everything of you to another being. To lay there bare arse naked and to be seen that way. I... I didn't sleep with anyone in four fucking years Scarlett . I didn't.. show anyone..any of that. You were the first one. You were the one who's name flew through my mouth that night. You and your little heart and warm smiles. You won me over the day I first saw you. And then.. then you do the one thing I was afraid you'll do. You hurt me. You hurt me in a way I never could imagine. You left me with a fucking note. A NOTE. You opened a portal to all of my traumas and I can't sleep properly."

"If I hurt you so much, how in the world did you even accept to see me?" Scarlett asks with tears in her eyes.

"Because I thought the god damn nightmares might stop! I thought that you can make them go away. Once I talk with you!" Lena yells out clearly crying now.

"You're having nightmares again?" Scarlett asks

"Yes...but I'll be okay. I always am." Lena says sinking into the couch beside her.

"If it makes you feel any better I found out I was used too... Colin..he..um..he used me for his premarital fantasy. He and his crazy fiance decided to live it out before they get married. I was his fantasy. He.. um.. he even bought me fake pregnancy tests and I believed them."

"But..but how? You sent out invitations to the wedding. You had a venue selected. He showed me pictures." Lena says in disbelief.

"The only person that got an invitation was you. And thats only because I sent it. The rest were from him." Scarlett says

"Are you okay now?" Lena asks

"I've made peace with it. We agreed to never see each other again and he apologised along with his soon to be wife."

"I'm really sorry. I didn't know." Lena says in a comforting manner

"I knew there was something wrong about that bastard." Chris says from the doorway making Lena jump.

"Chris I'm really sorry. I really want to fix everything." Scarlett pleads.

"It's fine with me. There is no need to tell me sorry. You didn't hurt me. You hurt her." He says pointing towards Lena.

"I know and I repeat. I am sorry." Scarlett says.

"Thanks." Lena says looking away from her.

"Are you packed Lena?" Selena emerges from the kitchen carrying in cupcakes.

"No. I have a few more things to put into my suitcase." Lena says taking a cupcake from the tray.

"Going somewhere?" Scarlett asks.

"We're going to England for the weekend. To get away from all of..this." Selena says waving her hands around.

"I see you have companions when you run now." Scarlett jokes.

"I don't run." Lena says seriously

"Okay even I know this answer." Chris says stuffing his face with a chocolate cupcake.

"You have chocolate on your nose smart-ass." Lena says

"Where?" He asks with his mouth full.

"Come here." Lena says and wipes his nose with her thumb.

"There." Lena says and smiles at him.

Scarlett and Selena observe them with huge smiles on their faces. As if the're watching sibling get along.

After a few more minutes of talking Scarlett stands up to leave and Chris goes to walk her out.

"Thank you for at least listening to me." Scarlett thanks Chris.

"You're welcome Scar."

"Are we good now?" She asks him.

"We're good Scar. But I won't forget about this." He says

"I understand that." Scarlett says

"What really happened with her hand?" Scarlett asks him quietly

"You're gonna have to wait until she herself tells you that. I'm no snitch." Chris says

"Okay. I get it. I didn't know you two were this close." She says putting on her shoes.

"Well we are." He says and opens the door for her.

"Thanks for having me and good luck in England." Scarlett says

"Oh I'm not going. Those two are. I have a set to go back to." Chris says

"Then wish them luck for me." She says and leaves the building.

Lena returned to her room and went back to packing. Selena joined her and kept her company. She sat on the bed while Lena walked from the wardrobe and back. Eventually Chris joined the two and sat on the bed beside Selena. Those three always had something to talk about and to joke around. They were becoming close. And without knowing. Lena found herself in an environment she truly needed in order to survive all of this...
