Third Person Point Of View
"You never swear."
Aurora's blueberry eyes noticeably went lower at Arlan's observation. Arlan was home from work early and had joined Aurora on his king sized bed. Rarely was he home before dinner but tonight he was, spending some extra time with her.
"That's because I've always been not allowed to, so I just don't. I watched other foster kids get in trouble for it."
"Yeah, but you're not there anymore," Arlan countered, stroking her porcelain cheek.
She looked off uneasily and shrugged.
He reached down and stroked her bare soft thigh leaning over her.
"Say 'fuck'," he softly encouraged.
She looked up in shock at such a vulgar request, almost offended, and squirmed. He was playing her, trying to embarrass her. After a moment of hesitation, she mumbled:
"No", with a look of humiliation crossing her face
"Why not?" His features pulled into a scary look of confusion and frustration, grabbing a little handful of her hair. She winced slightly in pain.
"It's boring that you don't curse. You don't have to be a good girl all the time."
She looked down, unable to take the scrutiny.
"You're embarrassing me. I don't want to say it, and that's that. I don't have to."
He dove into the crook of her shoulder, lightly trailing the tip of his warm tongue on the sensitive part of her neck, she shivered beneath him.
"Tell me that doesn't make you wanna say fuck," he mumbled into her skin.
At no reaction, he licked it with more pressure and she gasped, turning away, trying to keep a moan at bay but failing as a muffled small sound emitted. She quickly covered her face, humiliated. She had never made such a noise in her life and she felt dirty, hating it.
"Arlan, stop it," She said, weakly pushing at his shoulders. "You're embarrassing me."
"I just wanna make you feel good, there's nothing to be embarrassed about, baby," he stood up on his knees now. Arlan took hold of her hands and in his and laced their fingers together, lifting them up. The cold metal of his rings making her shiver slightly.
"I mean, I don't feel bad about saying it. Hell, I look at you and all i can say is...fuck."
He collapsed atop her and brushed his bottom lip on her earlobe. Her body was betraying her as her mind swirled with feelings she'd never felt before and was less on guard, focusing on the soft movements of his tongue. The intimacy, the closeness, the subtly of his soft breath and words mixed feelings of arousal in her stomach.
She writhed beneath him and shoved at him, snapping out of it.
"You're annoying as,"- She said in a cheeky manner.
A beat later, an amused laugh and smirk appeared from him.
"Good one," he said, amused at her jab. "Fiesty Aurora, aren't you," he gently played with her hair now.
A small smile appeared on her face for the first time in a week since she was kidnapped, because she had stung him slightly.

"And ugly as.."
His eyes rolled up now and she feared she'd be in trouble. Did she take it too far? She bit her lip.
"Well that one's just not true, I mean, have you seen me?" He joked with arrogance.
She relaxed and forced a laugh.
"Sorry, ok..."
"It's ok, princess," He smirked. "You can tell me how you really feel. Am I ugly?"
She felt her face pale as she blinked at him, shrugging shly. " I don't know..."
"Come on, you never know. You never have an answer you're always too anxious or shy to answer my questions. Tell me: Am I really ugly as fuck?"
"Why do you care so much what I think?" She was confused now as she softly countered. He was an arrogant man in many ways, for what did he need her validation for?
"Because I care about you, so I'm curious to know what you think. Are you attracted to me?"
Aurora sat up, shrugging.
"You're..." she trailed off, bit her lip. She took in his dark, gothic aesthetic, twirled curls the color of black licorice over forest green eyes, sleeves of tattoos in red and black, a black wife beater, scars around his arms.
"I don't know," She closed her eyes. "Maybe if I wasn't scared of you all the time, I might be. A-and maybe without the scary tattoos. You used to have kind eyes."
"Used to?" he repeated, sounding disappointed.
"Yeah..the day I met you, kind eyes. But not so much anymore. I don't know what my type is, though. I keep my head down a lot so I've never really looked at boys. But...I don't think it would be you...too tough and edgy. I-I would probably want a boy more soft."
"You can open your eyes, i'm not gonna hit ya," Arlan rolled his eyes.
Aurora peeked her blueberry eyes open hesitantly and he rolled atop her, instinctually taking her wrists and pinning them by her ears. Her body went into panic instantly.
"I'm glad you never looked at boys. You're mine." he nudged her chin up roughly with his nose and nipped her neck aggresively, causing a small pained yelp from her.
"God....you're mine, all mine, only mine," he went to kissing and sucking her neck aggressively, possession taking over his mind. "There's a reason you never had another boy, you were meant for me, only me."
"I-is dinner soon?" Aurora said nervously, insticually going to play with her fingers but he slammed her hands down at her attempt to bring them out of his grip .Her anxiety set in her stomach when she couldn't cope with her hands to distract herself. A whimper emerged from her.
"Arlan," she whined, tears rising.
He rose up, breathing heavily, kissing her mouth once.
"What do you want to eat, sugar pop?" He traced her cheek.
She exhaled heavily, looking up at the ceiling with blurry eyes. Aurora squeezed her eyes shut and whined, tears slipping.

Arlan got off her figure and lifted his weight off her, quickly noticing her panic attack. He figured she felt overwhelmed by the close contact.
"Baby...I'm sorry. Why don't I go make dinner? And like we've been doing, you can eat alone."
She sniffled and nodded, turning to her side, desperately needing space.
When she heard the door close, she wiped her nose with her hand and brought her fingers to her neck. She flinched upon feeling patches of taut skin. He must've just left hickies and that left her sad. She would have more purple on what was once innocent skin. She buried her head in the blanket, wishing to take a nap, trying to slow her breathing.
Elise quietly stepped in half an hour later with her a veggie burger, buttered potato and sauted asparagus. Elise and Aurora's conversations had become more lengthy as the days dragged on and Aurora longed for someone to talk to. Elise had brought Aurora a sketchbook a few days ago, citing it as one of the things that relieved her stress. Aurora had started to draw over the last few days. After she was brought dinner, she took her sketch book out and continued a sketch she had started that morning, of a small girl leaning down to play with an orange tabby cat. After she finished eating, she changed from her pink satin dress to one of Arlan's T-shirts. His possessive nature had begun to request she sleep in one of his shirts every night. Just the shirt. Luckily, they fell to her knees and covered any private areas of hers. Arlan returned an hour following Aurora's dinner, her cheeks growing pink. She closed the sketch book and shyly peered up.
"Come brush your teeth," he ordered.
Aurora got out of bed and in that moment she couldn't help be confused by his relationship to her. He kissed her like a boyfriend, but then tried to act authoritative like a parent by telling her what to do, like brush her teeth.
Her bare feet padded behind him as they entered the bathroom. She gently took her violet toothbrush out that he had bought for her and got to brushing her teeth. She peered in the mirror to find him intently staring at her, and his intense eyes instantly intimidated her. Her hair had surely messied from her nap and she stood in just his T-shirt, her exposed neck splashed with hickies. She looked away uneasily.
He spit his toothpaste out before drying off his mouth and turning to her, his gaze always smoldering and intense in a way that made Aurora uncomfortable. She looked up at him shyly, and he sponged cool, minty kisses on the hickies while she awkwardly stood continuing to brush her teeth. He left for the bedroom and she finished brushing her teeth, coming back to the bedroom.
"Did you enjoy the dinner?" He questioned.
She nodded silently.
"Good."
He tore his shirt off and climbed into bed. Aurora's fingers found each other and started to tangle together nervously. She wanted to cry again and wasn't sure why. She still felt so overwhelmed and uncomfortable getting into bed with a man, and she stood nervously at the front of the bathroom door.
Arlan grunted softly as he lifted the covers over himself and sunk comfortably into the pillows and cushiony mattress.
"'Mere, baby," he murmured, ready to rest after another exhausting day of work, situationing himself comfortably. She climbed into bed on the furthest side from him that she could manage, curling into herself and bringing her small lamb to her chest. Her back was to him.
"Can I go to school tomorrow?" She asked softly. She had asked him a few times this week to which every answer had been the same from him: No.
He sighed in exasperation.
"Aurora, I thought we were past entertaining this. You've asked every day and that makes me feel like you're looking for a way out," He propped himself up to face her.
"I can't let you go back into the world, back to that foster place. They neglect you like hell. Why do you miss school anyway? You have no friends."
That stung. She instantly turned around, glaring at him.
"'Fuck is that look for?" He bit out, cocking up a dark brow. "You gonna fight me on that? You're a junior, Aurora. If you wanted to make friends, you would've. You might as well stay with me while I can protect you and make a shit ton of money for us. Why not live the life I can give you? Fuck school."
"I don't want to drop out of high school, Arlan, I want to go to college one day. I wanna have my own career!"
"And I'll tell you what, take college classes. I'll pay for them. I'll drop you off at community college a couple times a week, if it's what you really want. But you're not going back to that fucking high school. There's a community college at least an hour from here so you'll need me to pick you up because a bus will be too expensive to take you back to your stupid foster home and I know you can't afford it."
"How? How Arlan, I don't have a graduation degree, I can't get into college yet at seventeen."
"I can fucking fake you one. If you haven't noticed, I've been a fake student before, and it isn't fucking difficult. You can do the same. And, who knows, prove me wrong and make a fucking friend."
"I will!" Aurora bit back, thrusting her body away from him.
Arlan's hand twitched to spank the brattiness and entitled attitude out of her little ass. She was fucking ungrateful! He gave her everything, a home, protection, money, affection, and it wasn't enough for her!
In her mind, she said 'fuck you'. And in his, he said it too. But neither one of them said anything aloud.
And with that, they dozed off.
