A knock on my office door ceased our argument, "come in"

The door opened revealing Dustin and Lilly both looking distraught. Everything is getting worse and worse and I really need to get it together before the ceremony tomorrow.

"She's gone" Lilly said her voice barely a whisper

"Gone where? Where did she go?" I asked my brows furrowing I could feel the anger brewing up inside me. How could they just let her go?

"I don't know she disappeared into the garden and out into the woods, she's pretty beat up I'm not sure she will ma-" Lilly started but I cut her off

"Find her, send out a team and get her. I will not abandon her and leave her out there to die alone" I growled

"I don't think that's a good idea Mason," Dustin said looking me in the eye as if he was challenging me

"Who are you to tell me what decisions to make?" I growled

"You're being irrational Mason, she threatened the life of our luna and acted upon those threats-"

"She's a member of the pack" I cut him getting irate

"She drew her blood and tried to eat her throat out!" He yelled

"She's a member of the pack!" I yelled back rising from my seat "Lilly I gave you an order, go." She looked up at her mate worry on her face but went with much reluctance

The door shut behind her leaving Dustin and I in a stare down both fuming, "you're making a big mistake"

"How do you expect me to just let her die alone? She's been there through it all and you know it. She might not be my mate destined from the moon goddess but I fucking love her and I can't just leave her like that. I made a promise and I intend on keeping it" I said

"You also have a responsibility as a leader to keep all of us from harms way" he countered

"She would never harm any of you"

"Autumn is one of us now, she will harm her she already tried. Promises, are meant to be broken, and that promise died along with her parents"

As soon as those words left his lips I felt like wringing his neck and crushing his bones with my bare hands, almost like an instinct, but I refrained with just a low growl intimidating enough to tell him to not say another word or I'll fuck him up.

"Just get out. I'll deal with it, inform me on their return." I said coldly waving him off

I couldn't sleep all night, my mind was restless and my body and heart craved his touch, hell if he was just sitting here I'd be damn well near content. I didn't know how good it would feel to kiss him it was the sole thing that felt normal and in order. In that moment everything felt perfect and I had no care, I felt goosebumps and everything just like in the stories and as soon as we parted all I wanted to do was pull him back in and never go for air.

As a result of not sleeping till the sun started to rise I was now waking up at 1 in the afternoon, I was a bit surprised lily let me sleep in for that long she usually has me up at 10 am the latest. I crawled out of bed my body still felt a bit sore from the night before, even though all the wounds were gone I could still feel where they'd be it wasn't unbearable just a little ache. I took a shower that I thought was quick but turns out it was about an hour long, I got out and got dressed. When I turned to fix the bed I saw a gown in a zipped up bag on the already made bed. I guess someone made it for me while I was showering.

I unzipped the bag eagerly to see a gorgeous white silk dress, it had spaghetti straps and a low neckline. Next to the dress were other bags, one from Chanel and another from Louis Vuitton. I opened the Chanel bag first and took out a box, in the box was an all diamond with a rose gold chain choker it shone so nicely as the lights hit it. Then I opened the Louis bag to find the most gorgeous pair of pumps. They were transparent with a thick heel, the heel itself was covered in a beautiful white glitter that danced in the lights as well. I was awe struck.

"You like it?" A very familiar voice said from behind me, just hearing his deep voice goosebumps threatened to rise

I turned seeing mason leaned on the door frame. He looked extremely tired, his eyes hung low and his famous smirk was weak still very sexy though.

"You picked this out?" I asked he walked over to me slowly

"Yeah," he said the smirk not leaving

"No one helped you pick it out?" I continued,

He chuckled and stopped once he was in front of me, his hands went around my waist pulling me closer to him closing the small space that was between us, "I didn't think I needed to, are they not good enough for little miss fashion icon?" He asked his blues dancing gleefully

I let out a small laugh of my own and placed my hands on his chest, "it's perfect, they're perfect" I said my hands traveling up to his neck then making way to his face

He closed his eyes and hummed as I caressed his face my hands raking his scruff, "You're trying to put me to sleep aren't you?" He asked making me giggle

"Naa if I was I would just -" before I could finish my sentence he opened up his eyes and smiled

"Don't tempt me," he hummed letting me go I took the opportunity to slip on some cozy socks and get my slides

"Where'd you go last night? And where's Lily?" I asked

"Lily's resting, she was out all night on a hunt" he said ignoring the first question

"A hunt? Were you with her?"

"You're asking way too many questions," he said sighing

I frowned a bit, he keeps dodging my questions, "I'm allowed to know being Luna and all,"

"You aren't officially Luna yet little one,"

I slipped my feet in the slides and stood up crossing my arms across my chest, "where were you last night Mason?"

"I was here, in my study." He said

"I don't believe you," I said

"That's you then, I'm not gonna beg you to" he shrugged

"I'm not asking for you to beg me, I'm asking for the truth. What are you hiding from me? Since when do you guys go hunting late night?" I questioned

"Don't question me little girl, I didn't come here to argue with you about my whereabouts" he said

"Why did you come here then?" I asked him, he stayed silent then growled a low growl

"Don't growl at me, matter of fact I wanna talk to Wen"

He laughed a humorless laugh, "no," he said crossing his arms. He looked so fine, his arms are so huge and his tattoos were visible today so he looked extra hot.

"What you mean No?" I frowned, "Wen come out" I called to him hoping that would work

He scoffed and turned away going towards the door, "If you walk away from me I will take that as you rejecting me and in return I'll reject you. I don't care if I die at this point," I said making him stop in his tracks

"I'm not bringing him out Autumn," he said

"Then talk to me, why the hell were you on a hunt last night?" I asked he stayed silent his back to me still, "you went out looking for her didn't you?" The one question I didn't want an answer to

"I had to," he said turning now, I felt my heart break a little ONCE AGAIN! I scoffed and crossed my arms over my chest

"No you didn't, she deadass threatened me! Nearly murdered me, and you still want her-"

"It's not that I want her I just had to find her," he cut me off raising his voice a little

"No you should've let her out to die out there!" I yelled at him

"She wasn't going to just die, you didn't hurt her to that point she would be a rogue" he said "I can't have a fucking rogue roaming around full of vengeance I had to find her! I'm trying to protect you, protect my pack"

"Prote-" I scoffed " how the fuck am I supposed to feel safe with that same bitch with same amount of vengeance living in the same place as I am?"

"She's not going to hurt you," he said approaching me his eyes softening

"Where is she now? Where'd you put her?" I asked

"Somewhere she can't hurt you, or any of us" he placed his hands on my shoulders trying to calm me down but I only felt more annoyed knowing she was here

"Where?" I asked lookin up at him,

"In lock up." He finally spilled

Once processed I balled my fists, I wanted her gone. For good, I pushed him away from me and stormed to the door before he can stop me

"Where are you going?" He asked behind me

"Finish what she started" I said running down the stairs "Someone in this fucking house better direct me to lock up!" I yelled for everyone to hear

"Autumn!" I heard him growl behind me, I ran down corridors and opened doors

I was gonna end this bitch right then and there, I was gonna get my peace. I went to where his study was and opened the door seeing nothing indicating a lock up I turned to leave but was face to face with him.

"Get out my way Mason" I warned

"Or else what?" He asked causing me to only get angrier

"Or else I'll fucking reject you, I swear." I said

"I'm not playing Mason! I'm tired of you choosing her over me time and time again! I don't see myself being with you when your heart is devoted to someone else"

"What?" He questioned "I'm not keeping her to stare at her and admire her or get a quick fuck from time to time. His fingers rubbed over my knuckles sending fire and little zaps down his trail each time he rubbed over

"Why is Mason such a dick head and you aren't?" I questioned

He laughed, "Mason has good intentions at heart he's just a little rough around the edges but that's a quick fix for you" he smiled sending me over the edge

He wiped my the tears that were on my face making me shudder under his touch, in a good way, "you haven't eaten anything yet, let's get you something" Mason's voice said he dropped on of my hands but held onto the other, he opened my hands from the fist it was in and laced our fingers together leading us out his office to the dining hall
