《Blood Walkers (A Once In A Bluemoon Novel Series #1) COMPLETED》Chapter Fourteen: Confused

It was a rough night and it was dangerously cold and still.

Renee had me taken to a much comfortable spare room and at least stayed there with me for a few hours before retiring off to sleep.

Jacob tried to talk to Grey, but unfortunately, he was not negotiable in any way.

The whole situation was blurry to me, because I badly wanted to know who she was. I couldn't understand his furious anger at me in any way possible.

If it was a mother, he would have told me long ago, as a way of cooing me to forgive him for both my brothers' deaths. A sister was less than that.

Suddenly, the loud howling coming from outside filled my ears and I immediately leaped from my bed and gazed out the window, the bright morning rays hit my face with the slightest effect as it was just five in the morning.

I noticed a pack of unfamiliar wolves walking into the premises, majestically as their thick dark and white fur swayed in the small breeze.

Changing back into humans, I looked away for a second before looking back again only to realise they were in shorts. Behind them, at the last was a blackhead man, carrying a bag which I supposed had clothes. He was currently finishing up buttoning his shorts and turned, standing like a statue close to them, his hands in his pockets as his muscles twitched in anticipation.

I noticed Jacob's built figure walking towards them with Renee by his side, followed by Grey and a few others.

I quickly grabbed a jacket hanging on the door and ran out, tossing the jacket over me and wearing it in seconds as I darted for the door.

I walked out of the two large doors and was greeted but a slicing cold, showing that winter was not far. I shoved my hair over my shoulders as I walked to Renee, as far away from Grey who shot me a warning glare to go back once he took up my scent.

I stood next to Renee who placed an arm over me, in the process, wrapping me up with the blanket she had over herself.

"The cold blood are forming an alliance with the hallows, Alpha Grey." The man in front who seemed to be an alpha spoke, followed by silent growls from his pack. "At the peak of the red moon, they will feast on every single pack they can find."

"So what's the main argument?" Grey asked, as straight as possible as he narrowed his eyes at alpha Max who was currently pacing back and forth.

"We unite." Alpha Max said when he stopped and stared deeply at him.

"My pack is well trained an-"

"You will all die," Alpha Max growled. "Hallows are dangerous and fast, half your pack can be taken down by one single Hallow. I have a pack and also living humans born of the wolf blood, I have little kids who have yet to know life and others are about to breathe, I can't risk their lives and therefore need us to build and protect them."

"How many have agreed to your selfishness so far?" Grey raised his brows in the most unrespectful ways possible.

"Needless to say, Alpha Grey, it's a matter of yes or no." Alpha Max said and they stared down at each other, as if trying to show dominance. "But, for your information, we need to protect them. I will be willing to die if that's the case."

"What's the catch behind all this?" Grey asked and I felt like strangling him to death for being so selfish and inconsiderate.

"I'm going to have a child." I gasped in shock when he said that, drawing almost everyone's attention.

"Really? Oh my God...." I whispered and he flashed a warming smile at me before turning to face Grey who was still as hard as stone.

"I can't let its life end when it hasn't even began it, Grey." He said, almost pleading and I frowned, taking a step forward and tilting my head so I view Grey's face. His eyes were narrowed as he thought.

Suddenly, a strong hand gripped my upper arm and I was pulled from the rest and turned abruptly only to face the dark haired man I was looking at before, behind the window.

His eyes were wide as he took me into them. My heart leaped when I saw the sparkle in his eyes that grew bigger and brighter.

"Mine...." He whispered and smiled proudly, shoving a few strands off my face and stroked my chin, tracing down my jaw and neck and shoulders. "After all these years.... I've found you..."

I felt the bond but I was confused. It could be the same effect with Grey but... This one was strong and it definitely was the bond between me and him.

I reached up my hand and stroked his well featured jaw and cheek, my breath clogged up in my throat as stared at him.

"Come home with me..." He whispered as he gently kissed my forehead, his body heat enveloped me as he hugged me to his chest. I surprisingly felt like I belonged more to him than Grey.

I couldn't understand and the shock made me speechless. I was confused and weak.

That was logically impossible, the stone had written, One bond for Two souls.

Then how come....
