Matt's POV

Zacky had sent me a text telling me I need to get to the hospital as soon as I can. I have no idea what's going on or why he told me to do so, but I quickly get in my car and drive to the hospital as fast as I can without breaking the law. When I get there, I see Johnny walking up to the hospital doors. I frown and run up to him before he reaches them. He turns to me and frowns as well.

“Do you have any idea what's going on?” He asks.

“No. I have no fucking knowledge on why we're being called here.”

“Well let's get inside and ask what the hell is going on.”

“Good idea.”

We head inside to the waiting room where Zacky, Jimmy, and Becca are all talking to a few doctors and nurses. Johnny and I exchange glances before walking over.

“Okay someone tell us what the fuck is going on? Where's Brian and why's he not here yet?” Johnny questions.

By the looks on their faces, Johnny and I instantly know Brian's the reason we're here.

“No. What the fuck happened?!” I frown.

“Your friend has gotten into a fatal car accident. Got t-boned at an intersection.”

“He's dead?!”

“Not dead, but he's in a coma. Could possibly end in death depending on his injuries.”

Johnny and I glance at each other before looking at the others. Becca' crying into Jimmy's chest and Jimmy's got tears in his eyes as well. Zacky looks completely broken and lost himself. I hear Johnny let out a small whimper, so I grab him and pull him into my arms. He instantly lets out a sob and breaks down in tears. The doctor gives us all a sympathetic look before clearing his throat.

“I'll let you all grieve by yourselves. If I find anything else about his condition I'll come let you know and if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.”

I nod at the doctor and watch as he leaves through the doors. I hold Johnny close to me and stare into nothing. I really hope Brian will be okay. Not only is he our band member, but he's our best fucking friend. We're all so close that we're our own small little family. Losing him would be a devastating loss. I'm not sure any of us could live without him. It'd be hard. And not to mention the fans would be heartbroken as well. How could we move on for the fans without Brian? He's an important part of the band. It wouldn't be easy to find someone to take his place. We know no one that's anywhere near as good as him. That's how it is for all of us. No one could take the place of any of us because we're all so unique. We've already gone through three bassists, we can't go through lead guitarists. It just can't happen. It won't happen because I'm not letting Brian die. If we have to wait five months for him to come out of this coma, we will. I'm not giving up on him. Neither of us are. I just know it already. I know Jimmy would never give up on Brian because they've been best friends for the longest time. Jimmy looks at me with the saddest look on his face and I give him a reassuring smile. I have to stay strong for Brian. I have to stay strong for all of them. Someone in this group has to show some sign hope and I'm going to be that person.
