《Letters To Gerard. [Frerard]》Interlude: Frank (II)

It just stopped there. No more words, or marks, or anything. As if he'd simply left it.
He wasn't in the apartment; so where was he? Where could he be?
Gerard's mind spun. He'd fucked it all up, surely; he'd made a mess of everything and there was no way he could fix it. If Frank had ended it all for good, Gerard didn't think he could take the guilt he knew would swallow him up. He reckoned that he may as well be dead too.
"Gee?"
Gerard whirled around, clutching the letter in his fist, his heart beating wildly. Frank stood in the doorway, tear-stained and messy, his clothes torn and his hair stuck to his head from the rain.
"Frankie." Gerard blurted, hurrying towards his boyfriend, who stepped back.
"Don't touch me."
"Frankie -"
"Don't!" Frank started to cry again, hiding his face from the older. "Go away...just - just go away -"
"Baby -" in a flash of black hair and tattoos, Frank punched Gerard hard in the face.
"You cannot - cannot - do the shit you've done for the past few months and then just think you can make it better like that." He clicked his fingers, his blazing eyes on Gerard's face, Gerard's bloody nose.
"I know, I know, I -"
"And then you turn up when I don't want you to, and you just - I just - have you any idea what you've done?!"
It all came flooding out and all Gerard could do was stand there, holding his throbbing nose as his boyfriend screamed and cried, all because of him. Frank was so obviously done, he had half a mind to just let him get one with it. After all, he'd probably be happier.
Gerard was probably the worst boyfriend in the world - he'd been drinking and taking drugs and neglecting his boyfriend and having sex with other guys...no wonder Frank was a mess. Gerard just wanted to hold him and make it all better. Barely a week ago he'd been beaten up, barely a week ago they'd held each other...

"Frank, please, just listen to me -"
"Get out, Gerard." Frank snarled. "Get out. I never, ever, ever want to see you again."
Tears welled up in Gerard's eyes, and he looked down at the letter he held in his hand. "Please - don't do this -"
"This is your fault. You ruined everything. I'm done. We're over. I can't fucking do this anymore."
Gerard absentmindedly screwed his hand into a fist, crushing the letter, and tears spilled from his eyes. He knew he was making a stupid decision, but it was what Frank wanted...so he pushed past his boyfriend - his ex-boyfriend - and he left.

Ancient Bones: The Changed Ones book 1 (Post-Post Apocalypse LitRPG)
Is it truly an RPG Apocalypse... if no one can see the RPG? Generations after the Fall, Mankind has achieved a balance in a world it is no longer the master of. But your prospects in this Malthusian world are limited. Johanna Milton and her friends have an answer: delve into Ancient ruins, avoid Changed beasts and mana pockets, and salvage Ancient materials, collectibles, and trinkets to sell. It pays well if you avoid the perils of the Ancient world. But when they find the skeleton of an Ancient, their lives take a strange turn. Suddenly, Talents straight out of fantasy novels become theirs. While they try to make sense of what happens, eyes turn to them, to the four who seem to break all rules. Or are they merely following them? Because, in the Beyond where he's spent 150 years waiting, one dead Ancient knows the truth. Douglas Moore has played those games often enough when he was alive to make sense of the System that rules the Changed world. He can no longer act on his own, but he has access to the Interface. And four people for which he can bring whatever it takes to face the world. Change is coming. The Changed Ones is a slow-burn litrpg fantasy trilogy (Ancient Bones, Ancient Books, Ancient Bonds) set on Earth, 150 years after the RPG Apocalypse... which mostly failed. It is an homage to the venerable ancient RPGs of the Golden Box era, the Baldur's Gates, and many others, offering adventure where You must gather your party before venturing forth. Keywords: LitRPG, realistic setting, low-leveling, post-post-apocalypse, fantasy earth, slow-burn, secondary POVs, female primary MC, team adventure, worldbuilding. Trigger warnings: casual swearing, adult innuendo (no explicit scenes whatsoever, though). Oh, and potentially a bit of politics. Bonus content: a Litrpg Easter Egg hunt. With lots of eggs across the book, some easy, some hard to find. Current score: 6/20 (20 eggs, 6 found) Publication schedule: on hold until September for book 2.

Whispers of A Dead Empire
This is a story about a young woman whose choices lead her down a path she could have never imagined possible. Join Calixa as she finds herself in a new world as a Domain God. Will Calixa keep her head high as she discovers herself and her power, or will she be washed away and forgotten by history, as just another domain that couldn't stand the test of time? Authors Note: This is a very slow burn dungeon core/Kingdom building novel, that puts more emphasis on the MC and her experinces then it will side characters. Hopefully I can include every one as the world grows. Release Schedule: Twice Weekly

How The Weak Live
This was a rough draft. Quite a meh one. The newer version is These Games of Ours. ---------- Lucious is deserter among many, living by dagger and beggary. Argento’s thirst for knowledge is endless, as is his belly. Kora is the perfect soldier, yet her sword grows dull in monotony. Formally known as the Empire's legend, the Captain is now stuck in stagnation. The Gods, grown weary of human deeds, have decided to indulge themselves in a different way. -------------- THE 7 REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF Clichés shall be avoided like the cancerous tumors they are. The world shall not spread its pink butt cheeks for the main character’s convenience. No character shall be thinner than one slice of white American cheese. No female character shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main character is. No villain shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main characters are. Grammar laws shall be upheld sometimes. I, the author, swear not to be a prick. I, the author, swear not to go away without warning. If other LitRPGs are like Skyrim, then this is going to be a combination of Dark Souls and Total War. Don't expect action for the sake of action. Be warned, this is a slow novel. Read the reviews to see if this novel is a decent fit for you. Disclaimer: I do not own that gorgeous cover art.
