《Fusion Online》Chapter 22: Julx, village of Muskateers

Ian sat in his bed, holding the contraption that trapped him in a artificial world. "We meet again." He says, tightening his grip on the four year old device. He hated that thing when he got trapped. But now, he treasures it. If it wasn't for that device he would've never met his girlfriend, Heather Rogue.
"Lend me your power one last time." The teen says. He places the helmet on and lies down on his bed. "Link start!" He says as he closes his eyes and rays of lights shine everywhere.
-----
"Hua!" Ian says, looking around. He's in a dark room. "Hello, Player. Please choose a class." A female computer voice says. Ian turns around to see a small, cylinder post about three feet tall, and it is displaying multiple characters above it all lined in a circle. Ian touches the first character.
"Samurai. Warrior class. Fit for combat and ready to defeat their opponent in a notice moment." The computer says. Ian would've chooses that, if it wasn't red and other colors. The teen shakes his head and scrolls through options. He then finds a class that catches his attention.
"Ninja. Fighter class. A ninja hits at tonight and never misses it's opponent." The computer says. The female computer then starts talking about classes and subclass. Ian ignores it and presses the accept button. "Please choose a subclass." The computer says, giving him three new options.
"Hunter, Lurker, Assassin. Each on specializes in different forms of combat. Hunter allows for swifter movement and increase speed and sight, increase damage with range weapons and normal swords. Lurker excel in hand to hand combat and close quarter combat. Assassin have higher stealth, making it harder to see in the dark and slightly harder to see in the day, and it's increase damage with shoto blades and other small swords." The computer tells Ian about each subclass. The new curse blade online player presses the Hunter class, mainly because of looks. The assassin wears a cloak, which he doesn't like ((assassin's creed)) and the lurker wears a ninja outfit with a mask, which seems uncomfortable to Ian. The Hunter class has more of a mix. It has the assassin's cloak but without the hood, and it has the lurkers fingerless gloves.
"Please insert a username. This will be visible to other players and cannot be changed." The electronic voice informs Ian. The winner of Fusion Online puts the same username he had when he was playing in the death game.
"Caliber. Is this correct?" The computer says, saying his username. Ian clicks on the accept button.
"Oh my. Caliber is the winner of the Fusion Online game. He has special access to the game and it's design for being an alpha designer and a beta player. Please select a second subclass." The computer says, almost as if she was surprised and nervous, the same way a person would be if they met a celebrity. "Uh.... Alright." Ian says, confused at how the computer would know this. Nevertheless, Ian clicks on the assassin subclass. "Thank you. You will spawn at your class's home town. Enjoy the game." The computer says as the dark room starts to deteriorate, gaps and cracks appearing on every side. "What the hell!" Ian says, as he notices that this isn't suppose to happen. Ian falls down, plummeting from the sky above to the ground below.

Ian slams straight to the ground. Ian sighs as he stands up. "This doesn't look like a city to me." He says as he looks around. He only sees trees after trees in every direction. "Well. At least I got this cool coat." He says as he looks at his black with gold trimmed coat. Apparently he got some sort of legendary coat for defeating Fusion Online. He doesn't understand why, his only guess is that Calem probably wanted to get some sort of cool rare armor every game he enters, mainly because he is greedy and he coded the first artificial reality game, meaning that the other games have the same coding.
Ian then gasps sharply. He quickly opens his menu and goes to inventory. He then scrolls down all the question marks quickly. "C'mon, C'mon, C'mon," Ian mutters to himself ,"please be here." All Ian sees is question marks until he stumbles upon the object he is looking for. Ian sighs in relieve. He's looking at Abi's heart item. A small tear escapes his eye. He presses the item button and a small five pointed star necklace appears in Ian's left hand. Ian taps the necklace with his right index finger, and a small white screen appears, and a strange revive button is there. Ian blinks several times before his brain starts connecting the dots. He can revive his daughter. Right here. Right now. "I have too." He says as he presses the button that should bring Abi back to life. A blinding blue and white light surround the necklace, which causes Ian to raise his hands and cover his face. After seconds of intense light and strong wind coming from the necklace, the light fades alongside the wind. Ian lowers her arms and sees her in-game daughter floating, a blank stare on her face.
"Hey. Abi, do you remember me?" Ian asks. No response comes from the girl. "Abi?" Ian asks, a bit of desperation in his eyes. He wants her to talk, to remember. Abi doesn't answer for the second time. This breaks Ian's heart a little. The male player raises his arms, wanting to hug the girl. The girl then smiles. "Daddy!" She exclaims with joy as she comes down and falls into the arms of her father. "I remember!" Abi says. Ian smiles. After the two hug, Ian sits down on the floor with Abi on his lap.
"Where's mommy?" The girl asks. Hearing the word mommy brings Ian to a minor sad state. "She's been locked away by, Calem, the creator of Fusion Online," Ian starts to explain where Heather is ,"she's being held hostage in this big tree. I'm gonna get her back. But I need your help." Ian says. Abi looks at Ian, "what can I help you with?" She asks. "You were made to hold storage and to control a few things right? So I was wondering if you have admin access here." Ian says, explaining to her why he needs her. Abi closes her eyes, information about the game floods into her brain. "I do not have any admin access in this game." She sadly says. Ian nods slightly. "Hey. It's ok. I'll get her back." Ian assures. "So wage are you in this game?" He asks. Abi opens her eyes and looks at Ian. She then jumps to the air and another white light surround her. After the light fades, she stands at three inches tall and is wearing a pink fairy outfit. "I'm a Fairy Helper. I'm considered a pixie fairy NPC. I have extensive knowledge of the game and can predict enemy moves to help you during combat. Before Ian can say anything, a loud shout is heard at the distance.

"Hurry up! Those Knights aren't going to stop! We have to go now, Nathan!" A girl player says, flying above a forest. She is around 5' 9", wears green clothing and white leggings. She has blonde hair tied to her back and a katana on her scabbard. Her pointy elf ears twitch a little.
"I'm going I'm going! I can't fly as long as you, Katherine!" Shouts Nathan. He's a Musketeer player with traditional musketeer red armor with grey and white stripes. He has a flintlock strapped to his waist and a normal sword that he is holding in his right hand. He has blue eyes and brown hair underneath his amazing hat.
"Just hurry before-" Katherine starts, but before she can finish, a fire blast hits Nathan in the back, sending him falling down to the forest. "Hello there." A knight says behind the female elf player. Katherine unsheathes her sword and spins clockwise as fast as she can, and with all her experience of fighting she goes for a swift vertical slice to her opponents neck from left to right. Much to her surprise, the red armor knight brings up his shield, which causes Katherine's katana to bounce off, leaving her open to an attack. The armored opponent delivers a devastating please much to her breast, and the blow sends her crashing down to the forest floor. The girl moans in pain as she gets up weakly.
"Well well well. It appears to be the end of the line for you, Celestia." A knight says, naming Katherine by her username, and he's flying several feet in front of her. He is about ten feet of the ground and other two knights are on the ground, watching the girl with their lances pointed at her. Katherine tightens her grip on the handle of her sword. "Come and fight me! I can take all three of you!" The female elf player shouts, ready to take the three Knights.
"Is a shout that is heard coming from the sky. Katherine and the three Knights look up to see a falling Ian, who then smacks himself straight on his the head.
"Jesu Christ that hurt." He says, sitting up straight and rubbing his head. "Daddy, I told you to practice first before just randomly flying." The little pink pixie says, floating in front of Ian's face with both her hands on her hips. "Yea well, this beautiful girl wasn't going to wait for her white shiny armor to learn how to fly, now was she." Ian says, causing Katherine to turn slightly red. "Daddy!" Abi exclaims, ashamed that her dad would cheat on Heather. "Don't get mad. I'm just trying to be a hero, nothing wrong in that." Ian says. "I guess your right." Abi replies softy.
"Alright! Are you three bothering this young lady? That doesn't seem like a fair fight, now does it." Ian says, talking to the Knights. "Haha! So what if we are? What can you do about, Newbie." A female knight says, taunting Ian. "How about you come at me and you can find out for yourself." Ian says with a confident smirk on his face. This makes the female knight agitated.
"I'll show you!" She says as has rushes to Ian, her sharp weapon aimed directly at Ian's head. Katherine covers her eyes, for she has little faith that Ian can survive that attack.
Ian catches the lance by its tip, which is four inches away from piercing Ian's head. "Bitch please." Ian says as he yanks the lance away, turns it around, and stabs the female knight. "Remember my name, for it will strike fear into you and other players. My name is Caliber." Ian whispers to he female player before she breaks apart into a million pieces of glass. The other knight then grabs his sword and runs at Ian, his hands above his head with the sword ready for a vertical strike. Our hero grabs his starter sword and stabs the knight player through a small gap on his armor. This attack wouldn't do a lot of damage, but it is a direct body strike, meaning his armor defense has no effect, and with his standard HP without the inclusion of defense is low, he shatters almost immediately after the attack.
"How about you, want to go one on one with this new newbie?" Ian ask in a friendly tone, because at the end of the day, he has no real grudge against him. "No thank you. My experience is almost high enough to get an ultra rare spell. You have won. Take this, it will serve you well." The knight says as he tosses Ian a small pouch with gold coins inside. "I hope to see you again, caliber." The knight says his goodbye before he flies away.
Ian looks at Celestia. "Not bad for a newbie." She says, sheathing her sword away. "Well, I couldn't let a nice girl like you get harassed, now could I?" Ian replies. "You need help." The girl says, seeing through Ian's excuse. "I need help." Ian says right after.
"Well, for saving me, I guess I can help you out. Once I find Nathan that is. He's probably back at Julx. He's a good fighter, but not good against multiple targets." Katherine sighs. She spread her thin green fairy wings. "C'mon. I'll show you around." The female player says as she flies up. Ian spreads his black fairy wings and flies up, following his newly found helper.
