"So what do we know about her?" Heather asks as she lays the little girl under the covers of the extra bed the master bedroom has. "Well. She's not an NPC cause we didn't get any harassment warnings. She's defiantly not a Mission Modifier. Our mission logs would be updated with a new mission." Ian says, pacing around the bedroom. Heather kindly and motherly strokes the girl's hair, moving her hand from the top of her head to the end of her hair.
"Yea. That's true." Heather says, affirming everything Ian said. "So she's a player?" Heather asks, sadness filling her soul, for she can't believe that a child like her got stuck in a this horrific game. "I guess so. But no health displayer appears. So a player is our closest bet." Ian says, sitting on the other side of the bed The little girl is sleeping on.
"How?" Heather asks, looking at Ian, her eyes filled with sadness. "How what?" Ian asks, confused at what she's asking. "How could a girl like her be trapped in this game? Why? It's just...," Heather starts as tears roll down her cheeks ," cruel. Heartbreaking, not right." Heather finishes as streams of tears stream down. Ian stands up and walks to the other side of the bed were Heather is. Heather has her eyes covered but her hands, crying. "Hey. Don't cry. We are good to beat this game, and we will find the person responsible for trapping us." Ian says, comforting his wife. Ian puts one arm around her. Heather leans over to Ian, placing her head on his shoulder.
"It'll be ok. Everything will be ok." Ian assures, not wanting his wife to cry. Heather eventually stops crying and whimpers before silencing herself.

"Ok fine now...I'm fine." Heather says as she moved he head off Ian's shoulder and stands up. She wipes the remaining tears off her eyes before. The commander lies down on her own bed and gets under the covers. She slowly drifts to sleep, for it has been a day full of surprise. Ian gets off of the little girl's bed and looks out the window. It's surely dark with the only light being the moon illuminating the planet. Ian lies down next to Heather. He stays up for a while, thinking about his day.
'What are we going to do. We have a little girl and we don't know what she is.' Ian thinks before he closes his eyes and falls asleep
-----
Heather slowly wakes up after her long and restful sleep. She opens her eyes to see the little girl, her chin above the side of the bed and her bright Amber eyes looking at her. Heather quickly sits up and looks at the girl.
"I-Ian. Ian." Heather frantically calls for Ian and she pokes him several times. Ian groans half asleep and doesn't pays attention to Heather. He wants to sleep, so sleep is what he wants to get. "IAN!!" Heather pushes him of the bed and he lands on the hard wood floor. "What!" Ian stands right back up and looks around, now alert. "She's awake." Heather tells Ian as she points to the girl. "Oh. I thought it was something more important." Ian murmurs. Because of saying that, he gets a painful slap on his left cheek by Heather. "This IS important." Heather remarks.
"Anyway. Do you know your name?" Heather talks to the girl. The girl thinks about it for a while before answering. "Abby..." She says. "That's a pretty name. I'm Heather, and this is Ian." Heather introduces herself and Ian.

"Heber...." Abby says, trying to pronounce Heather's name. "I guess Heather is to hard to say. Well, you can call me whatever you want then." Heather tells the girl. Abby looks up at Heather. "M-mommy...." She says, but winces back, afraid that she said somethings bad. Heather softly gasps. A little girl just called her mommy.
'She must have lost her mother.' Heather thinks. Heather smiles at her kindly. "Yes. It is mommy." Heather says. "Mommy!" Abby happily says as she jumps and hugs Heather. "You must be starving. I'll go make some breakfast."Heather says. Abby grins happily as she hears the word food. She is in fact very hungry. Heather walks of the bed and leaves room, making her way to the kitchen. The other two walk to the living room, Ian sitting on one of the two sofa chairs and Abby on the couch.
After a while, Heather comes back with two plates, one having two small slices of pizza for Abby while the other plate has some chicken Alfredo with some pasta. Ian smiles widely and starts eating his delicious food. Abi takes a few bites out of her pizza before looking at Ian's plate. She hungrily stares at it for a while before Ian realizes it.
"Do you want some?" He asks, taking some on his fork. "I want what daddy's having." Abby happily says as she smiles, wanting some of Ian's food. "Alright." Ian replies and feeds her. Abi chews the food slowly, taking in all the flavor. Heather comes back and sees this, and her mind immediately processes that she might not like it. "So...is it good?" Ian asks, also wanting to know her opinion on the food. "It's...," Abby starts, making Ian lean a bit forward ,"...delicious!" She says, happiness filling her up. Heather smiles. She almost thought the little girl would have not liked it. Heather sits on another sofa chair and starts eating her food. After a while, Abby falls asleep on the couch.
"So. What do we do?" Ian asks, looking at Heather seriously. Heather looks at the girl. "We need to find her parents." She says, emotional pain being felt. She didn't want the girl to leave, but they aren't her real parents. "I agree. But in this game, it could take an eternity to find even a clue." Ian states the fact. He's right, this game has multiple planets that can be searched, even places that weren't mention in the movies or books.
"Then we'll check Wayland first. That was one of the starter planets, and by the looks of it, she could've easily taken a public ship to this planet." Heather replies.
"Hey, it's going to be ok. It's not like we will never see her again, right?" Ian says, trying to make her wife not feel sad. "Right. Ok sure we will meet every now and then." Heather replies, but deep down, she doesn't want to let her go.

Homeland
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
