I'm back gays 😌
—
cyrus' pov
I didn't understand why Tj wanted to go on a date with me.
I'm a disaster. I'm quirky, confused, and gay.
I gathered my things, and made my way to the auditorium. This contest thing is one of the most confusing events at my school. I never would've expected the teachers to be okay with it, but yet again, it is Jefferson middle school.
As I walked carelessly down the poorly lit hall, I noticed the lack of students roaming around, and became anxious. I took a few steps, before being pushed onto the floor, clearly no longer in a solitary state.
I turned around slowly, and looked at an unfamiliar figure that was standing above me, in the dark hallway.
"uh, do you need something?" I said stuttering slightly.
"maybe. it depends on what your willing to do for a good cost" the high voice said.
that voice sounds familiar I thought.
"what do you need?" I asked slowly getting up, only to be lightly kicked back down.
"Stay away from Tj, or I'll hurt him." the voice said.
my eyes widened, although she couldn't see my face, I was terrified.
"what are you talking about? me and Tj are best friends." I said with a cracking voice.
"best friends? is that the new way to say boyfriend? I know you like him, and you better stay away or tomorrow, his pretty face that you fell in love with, won't be pretty anymore." The voice scoffed, releasing her foot from my chest.
She slowly stomped away, leaving me frightened.
I got up, and dusted myself off. What could she possibly want from Tj?
The first person that popped into my head was Kira. The only thing is, that wasn't her.

Vanessa's pov
"testing 1 2 3" Liam said into the mic.
"it sounds kind of low. Can you turn it up a bit" Elena said loudly, while messing with her guitar.
without turning the mic up, Liam smirked slightly and put the mic up to his mouth.
"Testing 1 2 3" Liam said loudly into the mic, smacking it after.
it made a long beeping sound, and everyone put their hands over their ears.
"Liam!" I said while rolling my eyes.
"can you please not do that. your gonna break it." I said annoyed.
"sorry. but come on, that was funny." He said laughing.
"That was not funny at all Liam. goddamnit, what am I gonna do with you?" Elena said laughing slightly.
"You could ask me out to homecoming." Liam said slyly.
"nice try. I'm most definitely not asking you out anywhere after what happened at the eighth grade formal."
"what happened at the eighth grade formal" I said suspiciously.
"You don't wanna know" they both said in unison. they looked at each other and laughed.
I giggled at them both. they're cute together.
I walked to the back of the stage, and looked at the desk in front of me. it wasn't my vanity, but it seemed interesting.
I looked at the small Polaroid pictures on the table, and picked the up. she looked beautiful there.
"having fun?" I heard a voice say.
I put the photo in my back pocket, and turned around quickly.
"oh um, Kelly. what's up?" I said faking a smile.
"what's up, is your touching my stuff." She said laughing.
"where were you anyways? I was looking for you." I lied.
"oh um, I was just using the bathroom. the hallways are really dark so, it took me a while to see where I was going" she answered.

"really? but there are bathrooms here. You know that. didn't you do your makeup in there yesterday?" I said confused.
"oh um yes. I did. it's just..." she took a pause.
"I was experimenting with different bathrooms. I want to um, write an article about it for the school paper. Ive already started. It should be up tomorrow." She said nervously.
"Oh ok. But um, about bathrooms? really?" I said laughing. I believed her. She is really weird when it comes to the school paper.
"Yeah well, you know me. always being weird" She said reading my mind.
we stood in silence for a while. thoughts flooded into my mind while I stood still waiting for her to speak.
"oh wait! do you know where Cyrus is? I haven't seen him since lunch" I said worried. he was supposed to meet me back stage so he could fill me in on him and TJ's relationship.
Kelly's face went pale for a second before she answered.
"oh. no I didn't see him. he must've been busy. he probably forgot that you were even having a performance. oh well. I'm always here" She said walking up to me, patting my shoulder. she walked away with a sly smile.
I ignored the thoughts about Cyrus, and continued getting ready for my performance.
Hopefully everything goes well.
