《Trick Or Treat || Michael Myers X Reader》Chapter Fifteen

Huffing loudly I turned away from the phone and made my way upstairs and to my room.

While the day passed I could probably prepare for what was to come later in the night.

I should probably get a costume? I never had participated in Halloween activities from what I could remember of my childhood.

In fact, I don't believe we did much for any holiday.

My eyes fell to the ground as I thought back as much as I could to my past.

...

I grew frustrated when nothing came to mind.

I shook my head slowly and ran my fingers through my hair, making my way to my dresser to check on my special mask.

That's when a bright idea popped into my mind.

If I could find an outfit that would suit the Halloween spirit, I could probably wear my mask along with it!

A grin quickly spread across my face as a burst of excitement washed over me.

I quickly set the mask down and hurried to Ms. Olif's room, I pushed the door open without any regard for the lazy elder that slept inside of the bedroom.

I pulled her closet open and flipped through her clothing, rolling my eyes as I ignored the many button up shirts that hung loosely inside the tiny closet.

My eyes roamed, searching desperately for something that would suit my mask.

I kneeled down, looking at the ground and flipping through boxes that gathered around the ground. Some boxes containing shoes, one of them being a pair of black flats.

I stared at them for a moment before grabbing the box and setting it by my side to continue my raid.

I pulled the lids off of each box, looking at the shoes that sat neatly inside, I came across outfits on occasion- but none of them really caught my interest.

I stood up and carried my new shoe box with me as I made my way to Olif's bed. I set the box on the mattress and lowered myself to the floor to peek under her bed. "I sure hope you have some secrets hidden in this room m'am!" I exclaimed, narrowing my eyes as I attempted to reach my arm under the bed to grab at a few boxes that were stationed beneath it.

Eventually, I could feel the tips of my fingers touching the edge of one of the boxes.

I grunted and shifted my body to slip my leg underneath the bed, the position being very uncomfortable.

"Come on..." I murmured to myself, my leg struggling to fit underneath the mattress. I placed the palms of my hands against the wooden floor and pushed myself back and towards the bed, forcing my leg to fit beneath it.

I let out a worn sigh and tilted my head to watch as my foot reached one of the boxes. "Yes!" I blurted in exasperation.

I shifted my foot to the side of the box and nudged it forwards a bit. It now sat closer to the edge of the bed, I could most likely reach in and pull it out now.

So I crawled forward and pulled my leg out from under the bed before flipping my body once again to reach my arm in.

My fingers touched the box and my palm grasped it, signaling that I could yank it towards me. I pulled the box out from under the bed and sat up to lean back against the dresser behind me.

I smiled softly, "Man... Really making me work for it, huh?" I joked, chuckling to myself before flipping the box over to read what was written on it.

In a neat, cursive writing lay a few little letters crushed together to make up a single word that always linked to romance.

My smiled vanished.

'Wedding'

Ms. Olif was married?

I hesitantly slipped my fingers under the boxes lid and pulled it off before setting it carefully on the ground beside my hip.

I stared into the cardboard container to see a dress, neatly folded to fit comfortably in the box.

I slowly took hold of the delicate fabric and pulled it up so I could admire its design.

It was quite plain, there was no design imprinted into the material. The main section of the dress (collar to the skirt) was a bright shade of white that looked almost untouched.

The bottom of the skirt held small frills that added to its sweet little look. The same frills were copied onto the end of the sleeves of the dress and the puffs on the shoulders. The tiny frills were a light grey that popped out against the big black shoulders and sleeves.

The monochromatic look gave off an eerie vibe while still keeping the title of a gorgeous yet simple wedding gown.

The skirt was quite a neat look, the front of the dress was short, it looked like it would reach a women's upper thigh if she were to wear it- if I were to wear it.

The back of the dress however, gradually became longer compared to the front, it ended near the ankle, making it look almost royal the more I thought about it.

It was for sure a lovely little thing. I'd try it on.

I smiled in content and looked at the inside of the box to prepare to put the dress back, only to see a small piece of paper taped into the box.

I furrowed my brows in confusion, caught off guard by the sudden appearance of the note.

I placed the dress over my shoulder and picked up the piece of paper to examine the writing on it.

It was writing made in cursive once again, I assumed it was Ms. Olif that had written on the box and note.

My eyes narrowed in on the words that lined up together before I began to read the piece.

'My wedding has been cancelled.

My dear Edgar has passed on. I did not have the chance to walk down the aisle with a grin on my face. I could not meet the love of my life at the end of the walk. I could not feel his arms around me, making me feel safe. I can no longer see this dress without moaning about what life I could have had if my beloved Edgar hadn't been in that shop when he had been. Dear lord please if one day I die, let whoever finds me see this gown, and let them give it to their beloved daughter or friend. Maybe even their lover. And if it is them that wants the dress for their own wedding- so be it.

Please don't let it rot away as a gown of death and sorrow. - Pamela Olif'

My jaw sat agape, shock written across my face.

I glanced up at the bed, being able to make out a hint of where Ms. Olif laid.

"By god..." I mumbled quietly, carefully setting the box down and standing up. I picked up the box I had set on the bed that held the black flats and held it to my stomach before setting the dress on top of it.

I inched towards the head of the bed and extended a hand out to pull the cover down slightly. I could see Ms. Olif's resting face.

"I'll take good care of the dress. Don't you worry my dear." I purred softly, a small smile returning to my face as I leaned forward to plant a soft kiss against the elders pale cheek.

I returned to my normal posture and turned around to make my way to the door. "I'll try not to stain it."

I left the room and pulled the door shut.

Returning to my room with a heavy sigh I set the box and dress down on my dress.

I glanced over at my mask, an eager smirk crossing my face as I tilted my head.

"Let's see how this looks." I whispered softly, leaning down to remove the night gown that I had put on after my shower earlier. I pulled the little gown over my head and tossed it to the floor carelessly.

I ambled towards my bed and picked up the dress, I stared at it for a moment and tilted my head. "A woman of good taste..." I inquired and took a step away from my small bed to put the wedding dress on.

I shimmied a bit, making sure the dress could get over my hips before I stared down at myself, my hands roaming my frame to study how well the dress fit me.

It was very form fitting, the fabric clung to my waist like its life depended on it, the sleeves held my arms tightly- not to the point where I couldn't move, but to a point where it was comfortable.

I swayed my hips side to side, watching the skirt of the dress flow loosely behind me.

I giggled softly, happy with myself.

I quickly made my way to the box on my bed and pulled out the black flats inside of it. I dropped them onto the ground and slipped them onto my feet.

I was glad to see Ms. Olif and I shared similar body types, we could practically share every article of clothing in the house.

I let out a sigh and stared down at myself, studying my bare legs.

They seemed a bit to bland for my outfit, so I scurried over to my small pile of clothing that sat in the corner of the room and threw clothes about the room in search of something to cover my legs.

Only a moment later, a pair of dark tights sat beneath a few more pieces of clothing. My heart skipped a beat at the discovery, my hands beginning to dig quicker the faster my heart pounded.

I picked up the tights and stared at them, they were a thin, black material, but due to being so thin, if stretched out, a person could easily see through them.

I pushed myself to my feet and kicked my shoes off to slip the tights on my body. The dark color of them covering my legs and making them look darker than before, while still showing a hint of the normal color of my skin.

I hurried and put my flats back on my feet before retrieving my mask.

I held it close to my chest and made my way to my shattered mirror that still hung to the wall of my tiny room.

I stared at my reflection of the many cracked shards and slowly put my mask on, adjusting my hair soon after.

I tilted my head slowly as a smile spread across my face, my reflection was perfect.

This is what I would wear tonight.

This is what Laurie- or Angel...

Would see when she died.

"Perfect~"
