《Trick Or Treat || Michael Myers X Reader》Chapter Two

-----

I pursed my lips together, admiring the artwork my friend had strung up in his room.

He made it feel so- alive to me!

I curled my toes against the cold floor as my eyes traveled to the door that kept the two of us contained.

Two guards seemed to have stood outside of the room in case things got a bit violent- or... Inappropriate?

I was only a six year old, he was ten.

That would be a little wild if guards had to walk in to restrain two little kids.

It was a nice thought though.

I directed my attention back to my friend, he sat in an old chair that faced away from me, he was creating another mask.

I slowly rose to my feet and wandered slowly towards the young boy ahead of me, I arrived at his side to watch his process.

"Are you makin' a mask?" I asked, my voice quiet as to keep from riling him up in any way.

He seemed hesitant for a moment before he slowly nodded.

I nodded in response before leaning forward to get a closer look at the mask. "What does it look like?" I asked.

He seemed taken aback by the attention.

"I'm sorry if you think i'm annoying..." I said, barely realizing the words that had just slipped out of my mouth.

My friend froze, his body seeming to tense.

I watched him with half lidded eyes, I wouldn't be surprised if he hated me- I just wouldn't stop talking to him.

I was obsessed with him!

I felt like I could do anything for him.

Without a second to process what was going on, my eyes widened.

He was facing my direction, his arms reaching towards me- he had placed one of his masks in front of my face.

His head tilted to the side as he examined the mask and me.

I stared at him through the mask before speaking: "Is this for me?"

He stopped what he had been doing, his eyes that were nearly hidden by his messy hair and his orange mask adjusted to stare at my hidden face.

He nodded slowly.

I gasped, a surge of excitement shooting through my body.

"You're so nice! Thank you!" I blurted, hopping up and down for a short moment.

"I'll never lose it!" I added.

My friend watched me silently, I could only hope he was smiling under his mask.

I could only hope he felt the same way I felt about him.

He reached forward and pulled the mask off of my face, he sat it back on the table that was coated with newspapers. I furrowed my brows and tilted my head.

"What-"

He held a hand up to me, before bringing it back to the mask.

I remained silent, if that's what he wanted.

I hadn't actually gotten a chance to see the design he was painting on the mask, the more I tried to look- the more he seemed to shift it away.

"Is it not done?" I asked, my voice a bit shaky, as I feared I may have ruined the mask.

I don't know how I would've ruined it.

But I thought I did.

My friend slowly nodded his head, and relief flooded over my body.

I forced a smile onto my face.

"I can't wait to see when you finish it. I love your masks Michael..."

I granted myself a small smile and wandered down the stairs that entered the dining room of the house.

My eyes flashed around the dimly lit room before falling on the purse that sat lazily on the wooden table.

A smile plopped onto my face as I rushed towards the object and tossed it into my hands. "I'm also borrowing your money! I hope you don't mind, Mrs. Olif!" I yelled upstairs.

I gained no response.

This kind of reminded me of my friend.

Everything reminded me of him.

I guess that's what it was to have such strong feelings for someone.

Never stop thinking about them.

Do anything for them.

Exedra.

I shook the thoughts out of my head, I already have a load of plans for him.

I had to focus on other things instead of the future- and past.

I made my way to the front door and threw it open, before slamming it shut and locking it with the keys I had found in Mrs. Olif's purse.

I pushed the keys into the bag and walked down the porch before reaching the sidewalk.

I didn't know how exactly to hold a purse, I had only seen someone hold one so many times while in the sanitarium. My eyes wandered curiously to a woman walking by, she held her purse between her lower and upper arm, so I did the same.

Though I wasn't a big fan of it.

I tilted my head and lowered the purse straps to my hand, i'll just hold it.

I continued down the sidewalk before spotting a large house that sat quietly across the street from me.

Worn down and abandoned.

That's the house.

The house we had talked about.

Of course- I talked, he decided to use other forms of communication to talk to me.

That house was important.

It would be important in the future, and it still was now.

I nodded to myself before walking forward, trying to find my way around Haddonfield.

----------------------------------------------

Arriving in the more- social area of Haddonfield, I found myself standing in front of one of its stores.

So I marched inside.

A jingle of a bell as I walked through the door alerted me, I jumped in response and looked around frantically.

Was this a trap?

I was startled once again by what I assumed to be an employee of the joint.

"M'mam? Are you alright?" The young girl asked, though I could easily tell she was older than I.

My eyes slowly traveled around the store, before directing themselves to the human standing in front of me.

"Oh- yes... Sorry, that thing startled me," I said in a tiny voice, gesturing to the whole store.

"The bell?" The woman asked.

I nodded.

She nodded slowly before quickly escaping our strange conversation.

I took this as my chance to look around for new clothes, and possibly find a certain person my friend and I had talked about while at Smiths Grove.

I wandered through small corridors that were formed by shelves of clothes.

I picked out a few shirts and pants.

I looked around for any sign of a person, but jumped instead when I heard the same bell jingle from earlier.

I raised my eyebrows at the sound of multiple people chattering away.

Completely wasting their voice boxes.

Their conversation seemed to have attracted my attention, I took a few steps toward the noisy group and peered out from behind on of the shelves to see who these young people were.

Though they were probably around my age. Maybe younger?

Based on how they seemed to be acting.

My eyes widened only a moment later.

The sight of the small group was normal.

Just a group of teenagers.

Maybe they could assist me in finding Angel Myers?
