《Just A Secret (Dreamnotfound)》17

I get a knock on my door and I run down my stairs and open the door. George stands there with a smile and I hug him and give him a kiss in the cheek.
"Hey Dream," he giggles.
"Hey George, I missed you." I say smiling.
"Come on, the lines are going to be long."
"Okay, let's go." George drags me to his car and once we strap on our seatbelts he drives away. He drives for a little while before we show up at the carnival. We get out of the car and walk into the carnival and the lights are flashing everywhere and I look at George is looking where he wants to go first.
"Dream can we get cotton candy?"
"Are you a little kid?"
"Dream, I haven't been to a carnival in years. Please?"
"Fine," I bring him to the cotton candy truck and buy him the cotton candy. He starts to take pieces of the cotton candy, I stand next to him and grab some.
"Hey!"
"I bought it, I can get al least on piece." He scrunches his nose and frowns at me, I smile and take a bite of my piece. After finishing the cotton candy, we both were playing games to get teddy bears for each other, but that only resulted in two teddy bears, one for both of us. We walk around a bit, then the flashy Farris wheel caught our eyes. I look at him and raise a brow, he smiles.
"Do you want to go on it?" He nods his head and I smile. We both walk up and paid for a ride. We got on and it started to rise. I look at George and he's looking out to see the nearby cities' lights, the Farris wheel lights make his pale skin a gorgeous color. He looks back at me, puts his hand on my jawline, and leans in.

I close my eyes and feel his lips against mine, the best feeling ever.

"Then Patches starts to walk backwards because of the turkey costume." I say wheezing.
"Patches is so weird."
"She is."
I scroll through Instagram and see one of our high school friends were at California having the time of her life and the caption was simply;
'throwbackkk :)'
Then I got an idea.
"Do you guys want to California?"
"California? When?" Sapnap asks
"As soon as possible. We pack tonight and fly out tomorrow."
"Dream, that's a crazy idea." George says kind of hesitant.
"I know, but that's the way we can live a little."
"I'm up for it." Sapnap says excitedly.
"It's so last minute, I don't know-"
"I'll pay for the tickets and the Airbnb. Then once we're there we can figure out what we want to do."
"I guess," George says quietly.
"Okay I'll send you guys your tickets and you can print them out." I get off the call and go and buy the airplane tickets and reserve the Airbnb and send Sapnap and George the photos of their tickets. I start to pack everything up, and Patches sits in my bed while she watches me pack everything into a suitcase.
"Don't worry Patches, you'll be going with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Drista." I say as I rub her head. She closes her eyes as I pet her head. Once I finish packing I dropped off Patches at my Parents' house and head back home. I lay on my bed and get ready to go to bed.
This trip is going to be awesome.

I recommend it! Welcome to LitRPG Michael-Scott. Glad you joined the fam!" - Aleron Kong, author of the Chaos Seeds series and The Father of American LitRPG “Lion's Quest is the type of book I'm always on the lookout for and rarely ever find. It's the beginning of a series I know I'm going to enjoy, with great writing and hints of deep in-game lore. The characters are fun, the plot is engaging, and I never know what is going to happen next. The action is fast, brutal and realistic. This is one of my favorite LitRPG stories in the entire genre.” - Blaise Corvin, author of Delvers LLC: Welcome to Ludus and Secret of the Old Ones “A great first foray into LitRPG.
