But then he...simply...walked away...
You stood up shakily as you watched him rev up the chainsaw and sprint off again, presumably to go find someone else.
"Did he just...spare my life?" You wondered weakly as you left the generator and stood at the door of the barn.
"I'm so confused..."
What should you do now?
You decided to go find the others definitely this time and set off to find either Meg, Claudette, Dwight or Nea.
"Meg! Nea! Dwight! Claudette!" You whispered/shouted worriedly, searching the whole of the cornfield for them. You heard crying and recognized it as Meg.
"Meg! Where are you?" You whispered frantically, looking around anxiously.
"Up here." She answered hoarsely and you walked safely up a tractor, to see Meg crying her eyes out in a corner.
"Meg, oh thank goodness you're alright!" You breathed in relief, hugging her tightly and she started to sob.
"(Y/n), it was so awful! Dwight and I ran off to hide - we hid in these weird lockers and eventually he found us! He carried Dwight off and he yelled at me to run but I haven't seen him since!" She explained hysterically, her breathing panicked and uneven.
"Shh, just relax...we'll save him." You promised her hurriedly, and she nestled into your chest.
"T-Thank you (Y/n)...you're the best." Meg was trembling and you spent the next few minutes calming her down.
"The important thing to do is NOT panic. We'll all get out of here and-" Before you could continue a blood-curdling screech was heard and Meg broke down again.
"That's Dwi!" She cried in alarm and raced off.
"Wait Meg!" You called after her quickly, but she was set on finding him. You tackled her to the ground, behind a rock and clapped a hand over her mouth as he walked past.

"I said not to panic!" You whispered gently, helping her up again.
"Sorry...I just- oh there he is!" She exclaimed loudly and tore off again. Meg burst into fresh tears as she stopped running and clutched her mouth in shock.
"Meg? What-?" You stopped yourself as you saw Dwight on some kind of meat hook. The hook was going right through his shoulder and holding him in midair, causing him immense pain.
"(Y/n), oh (Y/n)! What do we do?! Oh Dwi, don't worry baby, we'll help you...oh my god..." She whimpered in horror and just stood there shaking. You took a deep breath and with a count to three you yanked him off the hook. He groaned in pain and held his shoulder weakly.
"Nonononononooooo! Someone help ME!" Claudette cried as she ran past you all.
"Come on, after her!" Dwight said firmly, gritting his teeth in pain and you all followed Claudette.
"Detty wait!" Meg called after her anxiously and Claudette slowed down.
"Guys? Guys! You're here!" She remarked tearfully and you all shared a hug. The revving of the chainsaw could be heard, so you quickly made a plan.
"Right - we need to split up, he can only chase one of us." You told the others and everyone nodded...except Claudette.
"This can't be real...I-I..." She moaned, sinking to the floor and going into a terrified state.
"Detty, come on - we can't stay here!" Meg snapped fearfully, seeing the unnamed man in the distance.
"You guys go, I'll try help Claudette." You planned nervously and they hugged you quickly.
"Good luck (Y/n)." Dwight said seriously and Meg's eyes filled with tears.
"Also - do the generators, I think that's how we get out." You replied helpfully as Dwight nodded.

"Come on Meg." He tugged her softly away and they began to run. You took a deep breath and bent down to Claudette's level.
"Claudette listen to me." You ordered patiently, taking her shoulders so she was looking at you.
"I know you're scared - this is a shitty situation. Believe me I'm terrified. But-" You paused and took a quick look behinds you. He was definitely coming.
"-if you stay here, he's going to kill you - brutally - and it's going to hurt like hell." You finished sternly.
"I-I don't want him to..." She stammered scared and your patience ran out.
"MOVE!" You yelled and slapped her quickly, hating yourself for a second.
"Ow! T-That hurts..." Claudette wailed, clutching her cheek. He was approaching fast and you had to do something...NOW. You stood up, faced the direction he was coming from and spread your arms out; blocking him from getting to Claudette.
"Stop!" You cried out shrilly and squeezed your eyes shut, expecting to be hit by the chainsaw. Instead he tilted his head and stared at you curiously; buying Claudette time.
"Please...kill me if you want - torture me, even disembowel me like the story goes - but don't hurt Claudette! She didn't even want to come here - it was my other friends that insisted we come." You shouted frantically, looking at him in fear.
"(Y/n)-" Claudette said softly, standing up, but you cut her off.
"Run Claudette! NOW!" You told her anxiously and she nodded, taking off.
"I know about what happened to you...believe me, I'm so sorry for everything you went through...it makes perfect sense that you wanted revenge and killed your parents. They treated you horribly! Please, I understand how you feel." You remarked desperately, your tone gentle and kind. He still didn't move, but you thought you saw a gleam of a tear in one of his eyes and you kept going.
"When I heard the story...about how they kept you in a bricked off room and fed you through a hole in the wall - it shocked me. Why would they be ashamed of their own son? I don't care what anyone looks like, and I especially don't care that you're a bit disfigured...the only thing I care about is that you're trying to hurt my friends." You said truthfully and suddenly he charged at you.
You froze and cursed inwardly.
You fucked up! But out of nowhere he dropped his weapons and tackled you to the ground, hugging you instead?!
