"...Time is very slow for those who wait;
very fast for those who are scared;
very long for those who lament;
very short for those who celebrate;
But for those who love, time is eternal..."
Nick's
I arrived in Kei's neighborhood sometime past midnight. It's an odd hour to be parked a few houses away from hers but the flight is also at an odd hour. I had a full day at the office. I had to get home and pack, also pick my daughter. But I also have to work according to her time table and that is only when Jason leaves. I hate that things have to work according to that man's schedule and not when I fucking want!
I'm in a constant agitated state thanks to this situation. Sharing her is frustrating. There are nights I have driven past her house because I had some crazy thought of dropping by and kissing the life out of her! Am I losing my mind over this woman? Yes! Dissolving her marriage is the first thing on my list. I'm still motivated to be the only man in the picture. The only man.
I made a promise to Tony that I'll patch things up with our mother. I'll drop in to see her after spending some time alone with Keira in Santorini. I'm dropping Maddie off first and then we go to Santorini. It will be the first time my family is meeting her.
Jason has just left the house with a bag. I don't know where he's going but Kei said she will be good to go after he leaves.
I watched as Keira faithfully accompanied him to his car. I tightly grasped my steering wheel when I saw him kissing her lips. The sight of her in his arms, his lips on hers angers me to the point my blood is boiling. This guy needs to leave the picture. Otherwise my blood pressure will always be sky high. I feel like my mind will explode from watching him prolonging my suffering. Why won't he stop kissing her? Jealousy is seething through me!
Dio! She is mine... she should be mine. I should be kissing her.
She waved him off and watched until his car was gone. I took a few minutes to calm down even after she has gone back inside. Turning my head, I gazed at my sleeping daughter in the back seat of the car. She is sound asleep sucking her thumb. I want the best for her and that will never be Margaux. I am thinking I should leave her in Florence through this divorce. I'm terrified that Margaux will take her and I'll never see her again.
I drove towards her house, parking the car where Jason's car was. Getting out of the car with my daughter in my arms, I walked up the dimly lit driveway towards Keira's house. It is a chilly night. I am tempted to cuddle with Kei in her uneventful bed till morning. It's just a few hours. Will it hurt?
I turned the door knob and the door opened without much of a struggle. Why would she leave the door unlocked at this hour of the night? I set my daughter down on the couch. Kissing her cheek I whispered 'I love you' into her ears. As if she had heard me, she smiled.
I looked through a gallery of framed pictures lining the left side of the staircase. Most are wedding pictures. She looks happy in tbe pictures.

Was she happy to marry him?
Will she smile just as warmly if she were in a wedding gown walking down the aisle to marry me?
My thoughts have wandered way ahead of the point she and I are at. I like to plan ahead and at this point, I already see her as my potential wife. That I have no doubt about. First chance I will get, I will put a ring on her finger and she better say yes.
I know where her bedroom is. I opened the door. There is a packed bag on the bed and laid out clothes. I can hear the sound of water, probably a shower. She must be in the bathroom. I took a few steps to reach the door. When I opened it, a sweet strawberry scent flowed out and lured me into the dimly lit bathroom. I can see her silhouette through the frosted glass of the shower.
I am tempted to undress and get in there with her. I want to see her naked. I want to make love to her or maybe just to fuck her so hard that she screams my name. I approached the glass door, reaching out to open it. I stopped halfway, folding my hand into a fist.
She is humming a sweet soft tune.
I inched closer slowly picking a white towel when the water stopped. She opened the glass door and my eyes indulged. I wish it was brighter so that I can see more than shadows. I should look away but damn the woman is beautiful! I kept my gaze fixed on her breasts. She cupped them hastily letting out a sharp shriek almost stumbling back but I caught her naked body in my arms. Her wet skin feels good. I want to take her to the bed and make love to her already.
"What... what... Nick...?" She finally found her voice as weak as it is.
"Hey beautiful." I whispered and stole a kiss from her lips.
"Hey handsome." She whispered after I pulled away. "You're in my bathroom."
"And you're naked in my arms." As though she suddenly realized that, she moved back immediately. I wrapped the towel around her for both our sakes. "We have a Greek wedding. Remember?"
"Aha." She laughed. "I haven't forgotten."
"Its almost two in the morning. We should go."
"I'll get dressed quickly." She picked her lotions. "Can you give me a moment?"
Let's make love right now on the bed or right here in the bathroom!
"Uh... yeah!" I rubbed the back of my head with an awkward smile on my face.
I returned downstairs and stood beside my daughter watching her sleep. It feels unusually hot. I can't wait any longer. I walked back to the steps when I heard her cone down. Her hair is still wet, face plain and beautiful. "I'm ready." She smiled at me. Her eyes immediately shifted to my daughter. "Aw! Is that your daughter?"
"Yes. She's asleep though."
"Can I take a quick peek? I promise I won't wake her." She sounds excited.
"Go for it." I encouraged her.
She peeled the blanket off gently. "She's so pretty Nick! It's an honor to meet her. Thank you." She whispered.
"I thought it was time." I answered.
"Can I make you dinner? A hot cup of cocoa?"

Or we can go upstairs and make love until the sun comes up.
"That sounds great." I answered while taking her dainty waist into my hands. "But we should go if we will make it to my cousin's wedding. Come on."
"Can I help you carry her to the car?" She asked.
"Of course." I agreed. "I'll take your bags."
"What's her name?" She picked Maddie up.
"Madeline."
"Madeline. She's perfect."
Keira's POV
Nick left me in Rome and left for Florence to drop his daughter off at his parent's house. He came back hours later and now we are in Greece.
It is raining. The town car is pulling up a narrow winding road. I can see the sea from the window.
"I love it. It's beautiful." I looked at him and he stole a kiss from my lips.
I'm already happy and we haven't even settled in yet. Unlike Miami, I am not worried about getting caught. I don't care anymore.
The town car pulled up in front of a villa. The chauffeur handed us an umbrella and then later carried our bags into the villa. I watched Nick tipping him rather generously before he left.
Like he promised, we are all alone in this massive villa. It twice the size of my house. It's all white inside, like a blank canvas with colorful art on the walls.
"Alone at last." He wrapped his arms around me. "I have been itching to properly kiss you cara mia!"
He followed through with a tender kiss. Without an audience or fear of being caught, I gave in fully matching his curiosity with equal excitement. I'm not numb to this. I have craved this kind of attention for a long time, this toe curling sensation. Our lips slid in perfect harmony, his hands squeezing the my waist possessively. I moaned quietly when he broke from my lips and gave me a hooded gaze.
"More?" He asked me.
"Yes please."
He scooped me up and carried me to a brown leather couch where he lay me down and gave me exactly what I want.
I have never been kissed as perfectly as Nick is kissing me. He has my wrists above my head clasped tightly as he deepens the kiss literally making me dizzy with his lips, his tongue and his teeth as he gently chews on my lower lip gently dragging it through his teeth only to claim my mouth hungrily.
I Same blurred by passion. I'm in a daze. I'm nearly floating away untethered. He separated his lips from mine. He pushed my dark hair away from my face.
"You are the most beautiful woman alive." He whispered so seductively that I want him saying sweet nothings to me in Italian through the night. A small smile graced his pink lips and he sank his head down kissing me senselessly once more. I can't get enough of him.
He mapped my face with his fingers gazing at me like he has seen the sun for the first time. "You're beautiful Keira." He said it again, touching the spot where my heart is beating strongly.
His hand strayed up my dress and that's when I caught his hand to stop him.
"Nickolas!" He broke free, carrying out his own agenda by touching the center of me. I gasped in pleasure when he moved his fingers over my spot. It is feathery but I feel it greatly! How can just a graze feel this good?
"You like that."
"Yes!" I whispered sharply. "I like that!"
He withdrew his hand.
"I could kiss you forever." He whispered slowly and got off me. "But we have a wedding to get to. Hopefully it will motivate us towards doing the same."
I caught on a little too late. I got off the couch in hot pursuit. "What?"
"What?" He smiled at me.
"Hopefully it will motivate us towards doing the same?"
"Yeah. I'm not playing games Kei. I want to see this through to a wedding. This is your room."
He left me at the entrance.
There is a beautiful floor length dress on the bed. It's a very pale shade of blue, lighter than the sky. It feels expensive. I looked at the tag and my jaw almost dropped.
I got undressed and out it on. It feels extravagant. It's doing little to conceal my breasts. One wrong move from me and they will fall out! Lorraine would love this. She thinks I dress like a nun. I sat on the bed to out on the pair of strapped golden heels. As I fastened them, Nick knocked once and opened the door.
He's in a white shirt, most probably linen and a matching pair of pants. He is bare foot. He placed a velvet box on my lap and got down on one knee to help me with my shoes. "How the hell do these things works? Bras i understand. This, no." He chuckled in a deep voice.
He finally figured it out. He looked up at me with a tender gaze from his pale blue eyes. "Even Aphrodite has nothing on you cara mia." He told me.
I felt the soft short dirty blond hair. Maddie has the same color of hair. "If I'm Aphrodite, who are you?"
"Adonis." He winked at me. "Now, my goddess of beauty, I adorn you in nothing but gold." He pulled me up to my feet. He opened the box to present me with an assortment of gold jewelry. I can see necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings. "Take your pick."
"Nickolas, this is... it's too much!"
"It's not even enough."
"I'm not sure what to go for." I spoke, laughing quietly. I began to pick a few items.
The gold jewelry against the almost sheer fabric of my dress complements the look.
"I wish I could put a crown on your head. But this will have to do." He spoke slipping a golden branch like hair accessory with golden leaves at the back of my head.
When he turned me to face him, he slid his warm hands from my bare shoulders down to my hands. He slowly pulled off my wedding ring from my finger. Jason replaced it to mark his territory after smashing my hand. It's still painful but I try to act like it's not.
When his pale blue eyes gazed up at me, I saw some sadness but also some level of seriousness.
"Keira, when you're with me, you're mine. I won't have anything reminding you of him. Through these few days I'll hold onto this ring for you."
"I understand." I assured him. "I'm all yours Nick."

8 106The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield
***The wrong girl is sometimes The Right One.*** Charlotte Samuels thought she'd be stuck waiting tables at Marlow's until all her debts are paid off-in about ten thousand years or so. She definitely didn't expect a marriage proposal from the arrogant Brandon Maxfield who was blackmailed by his father to make her his wife if he didn't want his least favorite cousin to run Maxfield Industries. Charlotte's instinct was to say HELL NO! but she's stumped by a few obstacles: 1.) His old man Martin Maxfield is dear to her heart and has been recently deteriorating in health. 2.) She gets a million dollars if she stays married to Brandon for a year. 3.) She would rather like the opportunity to teach the attractive but awfully rude man a few lessons he didn't think he needed from a 'teenage gold-digger' which was his term of endearment for her on their first date-er, business meeting. So what's a girl got to do, right? Sure, she's young and a little rough around the edges but there's something her would-be husband didn't know about her yet-she's nothing like he ever expected. Thrust into the glitzy world a standard-issue Mrs. Maxfield would fit perfectly and rule with impeccable social grace, Charlotte will either have to force herself into the mold or break free of it, risking what little she has left for everything that she can gain.*** Copyright © 2014 by Nina Tippett.
