《Winning My Luna's Heart (completed)》Chapter One

Alana's POV
Finally I'm done packing everything. I've been putting all of mine and Drew's belongings in boxes for weeks and today I finished.
When the moving truck is here we will move to our new house, it's in a city a little far from here but I'm sure well make the best of it.
Drew is my boyfriend of 2 years, and honestly I don't know what I'd do without him; he's the only person that helped me forget the tragedy that happened when I was 11. I still wonder who would kill them, my parents never hurt anyone they were nice people.
I was brought out of my thoughts when Drew walked in the house telling me the moving trucks arrived.
I smiled and said "lets get moving then!"
Two really big guys walked in and started taking the boxes to the trucks, when they were done we got into Drew's car and drove in front of the trucks.
We arrived at our new house and started unloading the boxes. After a couple hours we got hungry and decided to get something to eat. The weather was nice out so we walked.
When we got to a restaurant there were stares coming from all directions. I swear I heard someone whisper "they're humans."
I must have heard wrong because aren't we all human. We sat down, and I noticed Drew was starting to get annoyed, he held my hands.
"Do you want to just go home, and order a pizza or something?"
I nodded and we stood up to leave. When we were a good distance away from the restaurant I looked up at Drew.
"What do you think was up with those people?"
He shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know but it was creepy." I laughed and we continued making our way down the street.

When we got home I told Drew I was going to take a quick shower then we could eat, he put his arms around my waist and started kissing me I tried wiggling out of his hold, but I couldn't, he smiled against my mouth mumbling "nice try." I smiled while pulling my head back and whining. "Please?" pouting my lip like a baby, he chuckled, and let me go then I ran to the bathroom.
I got out of the shower and put my purple robe on, it's short, but it's not like Drew's never seen me in it before.
I went down stairs and noticed his shirt was on the floor. I looked for him but couldn't find him. I walked in the kitchen and saw him fixing something under the counter. He hadn't noticed that I walked in until I said "so now you're a handyman huh?"
He laughed. "I do it all, babe." just then there was a knock on the door. I went to open it, as I made my way out he yelled "wait, are you wearing your purple robe?" I laughed but didn't answer him.
I opened the door and it was the pizza guy, he's young maybe my age, I took the pizza and told him to step inside while I grabbed the money, he stood by the door and waited. I didn't think he was looking at me, but when Drew said "hey buddy, it's not nice to stare." I realized that he was. I noticed his face was red as I handed him the money and he turned around to leave.
As soon as I shut the door Drew looked at me.
"I didn't want you answering the door dressed like that."
I walked over to him and kissed his nose.

"I'm sorry, I didn't think he would notice."
He laughed at my answer, "babe, only a blind guy wouldn't notice you."
I blushed. "Let's drop it, can we eat?"
"Yes we can." I grabbed something for us to drink from the fridge while he started a movie.
I woke up at 4:00 am, and the tv was still on. I nudged Drew's shoulder to wake him up and tell him we should go sleep in our bed. When he got up he started mumbling to himself, it was funny to watch. We made it to our room Drew fell asleep immediately, I couldn't go back to sleep, so I laid there thinking about school on Monday. I don't want to go but it's my last year so I have to finish it. Soon enough I drifted off into a deep sleep.
The next day came around quick, I spent most of my time decorating and unpacking while Drew looked for a job, he's the kind of guy who can't just sit around, he feels like there is always something that can be done.
I heard his car pull up, and I jumped to the door, flinging it open I saw a bouquet of roses and a teddy bear. I hugged him and remembered that this is how he asked me out on our first date.
After I put the roses in a vase Drew asked me if I would go to dinner with him. I agreed going to my room to get changed.
I slipped on a pair of black shorts and a white button up shirt that had all sorts of shapes and designs on it. I stepped in to my black flats and left the room.
When I walked down Drew was waiting in his car we drove for about ten minutes when he pulled up to a nice restaurant, I hope people don't stare the whole time like yesterday.
I was having a great time, other than the fact that everyone watched us like we were a movie, it was good to just get out after a long day of rearranging things at home.
When I got up to wash my hands I received many confused looks, I bumped into a girl, and said sorry, but she just bowed her head walking away, seriously these people are acting so strange.
When we got home Drew told me he was going to finish up some things then go to bed. I have school tomorrow so I decided to sleep earlier than I usually do, it's my first day so I don't want to be late. I hope the people at school don't stare as much as everyone else does.

Limitless Adaptation
Jamie, 19, was walking into the kitchen for dinner when he suddenly found himself walking down a street in another world, a world with a game system. There, he meets a half-dragon, half-human named Adam, who faces adversity in most places, because of his parentage, and not long after they meet, the two of them are forced to leave town, due to Adam's beast nature. In the world of Tielmar, there are species of all varieties, a Class exists for nearly everything, and Skills come in quite a few forms. Jamie starts off with a Skill called "Limitless Adaptation", which supposedly allows him to adapt to any need, but is it really as powerful as it sounds? And more importantly - can it help him survive in a world where his first friend is a reject in all communities? Will Jamie, Adam, and the other friends and teammates they make in their journey find peace, allies, and love? Or will they fall to the powerful Adventurers that soon begin to hunt their team, to claim the bounties on several of its members, a bounty Jamie himself quickly finds on his own head? All of Book 1 is now posted, and Limitless Adaptation is officially done with the decision to rewrite. Credits for the cover go to me.
