I went to the forest to meet Lele there. My friends came a few minutes after.
"Great job guys! On your first Akuma!" Lele said. We giggled and shared a high five.
"Ok. Anyways, you need to know more about the akumas. They are basically students here. But their evil twin." She said. We nodded for her to continue. "Obviously, Hawkmoth wants Marinette to go to Evil Akuma University because he wants to use your powers. So he'll keep attempting to change your mind. So he will keep sending monsters and Akumatized villains." She said. We nodded and began practicing again.
Suddenly, I heard flapping. I turned around and saw another black butterfly perched on a tree branch, as if watching us. I closed my eyes.
We were by Ms.Bustier's classroom. Bubbles were flying everywhere trapping students and teachers inside. They floated into the sky. A blue man with a bubble wand laughed.
I opened my eyes again and started to run toward Ms.Bustier's room. My friends and Lele were calling after me.
They saw her running.
"Where is she going?" Alya asked. Lele searched around until her eyes landed on a black butterfly perched on a branch. Her eyes widened in realization.
"Go to Marinette! It's another akuma!" Lele said. They began to run.
"How do you know?" Nino asked. Lele ran with them as she explained.
"Every time there is an Akuma attack, black butterflies show up near a chosen one. So when Marinette knew where to go for StoneHeart, she saw the black butterfly and saw a vision. Chosen ones usually get visions everyone they see a black butterfly." Lele said before getting out her wand. They followed her actions and caught up with Marinette outside of Ms. bustier's class. They heard screaming and calls for help.

"Don't worry we'll get you out!" Marinette said before turning to meet their eyes. She smiled and walked toward them. "You guys came!" She said hugging them tightly.
"Of course, princess! We would be bad best friends if we didn't show up!" Adrien said. Marinette giggled and let go, running toward the blue and red man terrorizing some of the students. They followed, wand in hand.
"What are you doing, and who are you?" Marinette called. He turned around and smirked.
"I'm the Bubbler. And you, are one beautiful lady." He said reaching for Marinette's hand. She yanked it away and stepped back. She started to look for the Akuma.
"The wand!" Marinette called. Nino reached up to grab his wand and cast a spell.
"Arrêtez et libérer la baguette à bulles!" Nino called. The bubbler stopped in his tracks and the bubble wand was released from his grasp. Alya grabbed it from the ground. The bubbler laughed as the wand fell from Alya's hands as she tried to grab it.
"What's so funny?!?" Adrien asked.
"Stupid children. You think I would have given up that easily?" He said. The spell over him broke and he picked up his wand. He blew another bubble and it flew to Marinette. She was shocked and Adrien realized what was going on. He casted a spell the surrounded all of them.
"Détruire et protéger!" Adrien yelled. A green light wrapped around us as the bubble bounced off the forcefield. The force field dropped and Marinette ran toward his wand and broke it against her leg.
"Pas plus mal pour vous faire peu Akuma!" Marinette shouted. The students and teachers were teleported back on the ground and the bubbler limped back to where he came from.
"Great job, guys!" Lele shouted. She had been observing from the sidelines and watching how they fought.
They shared a high five and went back to their dorms.
Tomorrow was Adrien's birthday...

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!

The Card Thief of Culnivar
Deep with the cozy kingdom of Daeton, among the generation-old farmlands and villages, a young farmer’s daughter stumbles upon a dead man. His elaborate clothing has been torn to ribbons, yet his skin remains unblemished. His face is peaceful, and tucked into the hand lying across his chest can be seen a solitary playing card. He is a Ludum Haeres. The last remnant of a Summoner. Numbered among those few capable of changing their destinies. The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.
