*in headmaster Fu's office*
"We found him. He's perfect!" Headmaster Fu said to his assistant.
"Should we inform them?" The assistant asked, looking at her clipboard.
"Yes. Page them over the microphone, Liza." Headmaster Fu explained. Liza ran to the microphone.
*back to Marinette*
We sat down to enjoy our lunch, but we were interrupted by an announcement.
"Marinette, Adrien, Alya, and Nino. Please report to headmaster's office." The announcer said. We gave each other the "are we in trouble" look before heading to his office.
When we reached his office, his assistant, Liza, greeted us by the door and told us to come in. We sat down, waiting to hear what he has to say.
"Welcome. We have heard of your incident with Ms. Chloè. But your not in trouble. It has come to my decision that you need your protector and two witches/wizards by your side now." He said. I nodded and looked at my friends. They looked confused. But headmaster continued. "As you know, we chose your protector. We have come to a decision. Adrien Agreste, will be your protector because he has shown improvement in his skills, and he has protected you, like a protector should." He said. I squealed in response as I turned to Adrien. He smiled and hugged me.
"What happens next?" Adrien asked.
Master Fu began, "You may choose your-"
"I pick Alya and Nino!" I said cutting him off. I saw them smiling.
"Very well then. Raise your wand on the air." They did as told as I watched. "Do you promise to stay by Marinette Dupain-Cheng's side for as long as she lives?" they nodded and he continued. "Will you improve your magic to fit any situation you may run into?" They nodded once again. "Now, I will recite an old spell that binds a chosen to their protector and partners...lier quatre personnes à celui choisi pour sa vie" headmaster fu said. I felt my birthmark burn. I looked down and winced.

"Are you ok Mari?" Nino asked. They walked over to me and saw it glowing a bright red.
"She's ok. Don't worry. The spell I casted has to bind her with you. She may feel the burning sensation. But, it will go away soon. I suggest you get her an ice pack." Headmaster Fu said. They took me to the nurse's office and got an ice pack. We walked back to our rooms and hung out there for the rest of lunch period.
At the end of school, we went to the garden to meet Lele. I introduced them and she said I can train with them next time.
A/N:
Usually, the spells will be in French. So you can look up what Headmaster Fu said. To sum it up, it means "to bind one to the chosen."😊

Medley of Fates Worse than Death
Rick wakes up in a world unknown to him. He doesn't know what exactly happened or why he is there, he just feels he's not from that world as if he had Dissociative amnesia. Soon after waking up, he gets attacked not once, not twice but three times in a single day. Our hero can know how strong enemies are thanks to a special ability of his, but the thing is... What good does it do to know just how weak you are compared to a deadly creature chasing you? This is a LitRPG Fantasy Adventure in which battles are won (or lost) with strategy and wits as our protagonists aren't necessarily the strongest... So if you enjoy more strategic battles I think you will love this story!About the chapters: I will post mostly 1,300 or so word chapters, I love weekly manga and feel like that pacing is similar to the one in a weekly serial chapter, hopefully, you enjoy these chunk-sized chapters :) I only do this for fun in my free time so I think I will probably post a chapter a week, but if my patreon ever gets busy I might put more time into my hobby xD If you feel like checking out some of the newest chapters, I have them over on my Patreon (Currently 5 chapters in advance): www.patreon.com/rija Extra info (Might get spoilery): As the story progresses I intend to add more strategy, politics and economics into the story, but it will still be mostly a LitRpg action-adventure. (Also if you had read my synopsis previously I changed it a bit because the elements I mentioned before in the synopsis won't come into play until much later into the story, and that's why I changed it.)
