《Miraculous Magic Academy {COMPLETE}》4: Chosen?

I woke up and went to class. Surprisingly, I came early. I saw Adrien, Alya and Nino talking. I walked up to them and waved.
"Hey girl. Early today?" Alya said.
"Yeah, can you believe it?" I said. We all laughed at my comment.
The teacher came in and started the lesson. In he middle of our lesson, headmaster Fu spoke over the speaker.
"Attention students. Marinette Dupain-Cheng, please come to my office." He said before turning off the mic.
Why was I called to the office? Was I in trouble? What did I do?
My friends gave me worried looks and I gave them a smile before walking to the door.
"Oh, looks like Marinette is finally getting expelled!" Chloè said. I glared at her. Suddenly a fire started on her head. I stared at her with wide eyes before walking to Headmaster Fu's office.
I knocked in the door. He told me to come in and sit down. I did as told.
"Thank you for coming, Marinette. You're not in trouble." He said. I sighed of relief and relaxed. "Please hand in your wand. You won't be needing it anymore." He said. I stared in horror. Was I getting expelled?
"Your not getting expelled. We just found out that your the chosen one." He continued. I gave him my wand and I spoke.
"The chosen one? Isn't that from those old history stories, that told of them not using wands?" He nodded and I continued. "Me? How can I be the chosen one. There must be a mistake." I argued. He shook his head.
"There is no mistake. Your test results can prove it and your birthmark." He stated. I looked at my birthmark. It was a star with a ladybug pattern on my wrist.

"So what do I do now? Can I tell anyone?" I asked.
"You can tell only the ones you trust. If you tell anyone else, they could use you to their advantage." He said. I nodded and walked to the door. "Thank you for your time, Marinette."
I walked out the door without my wand and into the classroom. Everyone was staring at me. I smiled and walked to my seat.
"Girl, what happened? Where's your wand? Are you expelled?" She asked I shook my head and answered her questions.
"I'll tell you what happened after class with Adrien and Nino. I don't need my wand anymore. And I'm not expelled." I said.
"So how are you going to practice magic?" Nino asked.
"I'll show you." I said smirking.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
