Peter runs up the long driveway of the Avengers complex, gripping the straps of his bag to stop it from bouncing around. Reaching the large doors, he looks up, remembering the first time he came here. He had rejected the role of becoming an Avenger to stay with Aunt May and finish high school. He is now a graduate of Midtown High, and is moving into the Avengers complex to train under the many superheros that live there.
The door slide open silently and Peter hears nothing but the squeaking of his shoes on the marble floor. The large entry room is surprisingly empty, he was expecting at least Happy to show him to his room. Something doesn't feel quite right. A quick glance shows him he was right on time, 3:00 on the dot. Happy had texted him saying he would be met in the entry at 3:00pm, and here he is, but he is alone.
Peter tenses, his spidey sense tingling. He dives sideways, landing in a roll and quickly stands up to face the attack. He moved not a moment too soon, an arrow is embedded in a couch right where he had been standing. Following the angle of the arrow with his eyes, Peter notices a figure standing in the corner of a window.
"Hey! What was that for?" He yells, waving his arms. Another figure, in all black, swoops in, grabbing the archer and flies out the door. Peter is about to chase after them, but hesitates as his spidey sense warn him again. He shoots a web behind him, whirls around and shoots another. Another figure in all black had fended off the first string, but their knife hand gets tangled in the second web. Growling, they start running towards Peter, who leans back on one leg, in a fighting stance.
"Woah man, I don't know who you think I am but I'm harmless. You've obviously got me mixed up with someone else." Peter explains innocently as he jumps at the person, dodging a slash from their web-tangled knife, then throws a punch. The punch is dodged easily, but he shoots a web from his other hand and kicks at their legs as they are distracted by the web. He backs up, catching his breath.

Peter's eyes widen as the person pulls another dagger out from seemingly nowhere. "Where did you get that from? And where's mine?" He asks as they start towards Peter again, and Peter crouches low. Just as he planned, the opponent ducks lower, and just before they reach him, he shoots two webs into the floor where his hands are and vaults over their head, trailing two sticky strands of web behind him. He twists on the landing and pulls the webs tight. They try to turn around, but the webs are too tight. Peter quickly shoots several more webs, sticking their legs and arms down to their sides. He kicks their legs out from underneath them, and kneels on their chest. He rips the weapons out of their hands and throws them aside.
"How did you get in here this is, like, the most secure place in the universe I think." Peter ponders. "Why aren't you squirming? The bad guys I usually fight try to resist my webs. Oh no! You've seen my identity, you know I'm Spider-man! Wait, you might not have known that. Well, don't tell anyone who I am, kay? You do that and I won't kill you, deal? Well, you have to agree with me, I'm sitting on your chest. That probably hurts, doesn't it?" Peter rambles.
"He got me." They mutter into an unseen headset, and Peter frowns.
"If you're calling for backup, I'm gonna have to borrow your mask, I can't have everyone knowing who I am." He starts pulling up the black mast covering their face up, but stops as he hears footsteps.
"Pete? Where are you?" A familiar voice calls, and Peter sighs in relief.
"I'm over here Mr Stark." He answers, and soon the billionaire comes into view.
"I'm so glad you're here Mr Stark, there was a guy shooting arrows at me, then another guy came and flew him away then this bad guy here showed up and tried to stab me a few times so I tied them up and they just called their bad boss guy to come and kill me and they figured out my identity and they somehow infiltrated the Avengers complex and-" Peter explains rushed, getting up off the tied up person, and webs them to the floor.

Tony cuts him off. "I'm going to stop you right there before you give me a headache." He walks over to the webbed person, pulling a dagger out of his pocket.
"How does everyone just have daggers lying around in their pockets? Wait, what are you doing?" Peter objects as Tony slashes through the webs, releasing the black-clad person.
"I can't leave her like that, I've been punched for doing that in the past." He responds, and the unknown woman shakes off the loose strands of web from her shoulders.
"Okay now I'm confused." Peter steps back into a fighting stance, but Tony and the woman just chuckle.
"You did good, kid." The woman says, and pulls off her mask to reveal a familiar face and mop of red curly hair.
Peter stands up, stumbling back. "Oh, Black Widow, Miss Natasha, Agent Romanoff, I'm sorry I didn't know it was you, I am so sorry I hope I didn't hurt you." Peter gushes, but Natasha just smiles and shakes her head.
"No harm done, you're the nicest opponent I've faced in a while." She assures, but Peter frowns.
"Was this a test? It was Hawkeye and Vision, right? Did I fail? Am I not gonna be an Avenger? I can do it again and be more mean!" Peter starts panicking, but Tony laughs again.
"Have some faith in yourself, Pete. I wasn't expecting you to be able to capture Nat. You passed with flying colours. A-plus." He answers, and Peter almost passes out in relief. "Now that the fiddly stuff is out of the way, lemme show you to your room."
Tony turns on his heel and Peter jogs to catch up, Natasha trails behind.
"Now as before, your room is next to Vision, but he's gotten better at the whole 'moving through walls' thing he had going for a while. We usually have breakfast whenever but on weekends we take turns cooking all meals. You won't do patrol by yourself for the first week," Tony puts a hand up as Peter starts to protest, before continuing. "The grounds are so big you'll get lost. That's the only reason. Lunch is whenever you want unless you have training, and dinner is at 6.
There's no curfew, but you will get a metal arm to the head, magic hammer in your stomach, dagger in your neck, Hulk smashed, shield in your side, energy blasted, and cloak choked - only if Doctor Strange is visiting - if you're loud past 11. If you're watching TV in the living room you can pretty much watch whatever channel you want, unless Love Island is on, then you cannot make any noise or change the channel, or you will be killed by everyone.
Now, here is your room, you have the rest of the day off, then you'll do training tomorrow. Ask Vision where everything is, or call Happy, or me I guess." Tony finished as the group reach Peter's room.
"Thank you Mr Stark! See you tomorrow!" Peter thanks, opens the door and steps inside.
"Oh and Peter?" Tony adds, and Peter pokes his head out. "You did good today, welcome to the Avengers." Peter grins, then steps inside and shuts the door.
After a few seconds, Natasha and Tony hear Peter yelling in excitement, pointing out everything in the room. They chuckle at his bubbly behaviour.
"You picked well, Tony." Natasha tells the Iron Man, who smiles to himself.
"He picked himself Nat. I can't get rid of him." Tony responds, and the two walk back down the hall, listening to Peter's excited chatter to himself.
