《Peter Parker field trips to SI and Avengers Compound!》Hungry and Alone, Until He Wasn't Pt. 2

"Welcome back, Mini Stark. You haven't been to the Tower in awhile." Peter flinched at the sound of Friday's voice greeting him.
"H-hey, Friday. Um... ya, I was busy." Peter responded quietly, avoiding the stares of his classmates and angered glares from his bullies and teacher.
This will be the talk of the school now and Peter knew that's a bad thing. The looks from his torturers told him everything.
Happy quickly herded the class into the huge elevator that barely fit the 28 students and 2 adults. Then he came and stood next to Peter scowling at the chattering teens.
"Friday's right, you haven't been around the tower recently. Even when the team's out you usually come around and help in the labs." Happy glanced down at the young boy, a whiff of concern in his eyes.
Peter simply shrugged in reply, "Like I said, I've been busy." Happy frowned at that but dropped the subject. The moving room seemed to sway and Peter leaned against the wall for support, wincing when his injured shoulder hit the wall, and shaking his head as spots began to cover his vision. Eventually they went away.
Happy seemed to be quickly typing away at his Stark Phone. The man looked concerned and Peter was about to question why when the doors opened with a loud ding. The class gasped in unison and it took Peter a second to realize why they all just stood in pretty much a silenced shock. They were on the penthouse level where the Avengers stayed. Where the Avengers were currently standing in a group smiling strangely at the teens.
"Hello children! I've decided to upgrade your tour a little." Tony grinned, "Instead of hanging with the interns... you get to chill with us!" Tony spread his arms wide, gesturing towards the whole penthouse. The class immediately erupted into cheers.
Peter, on the other hand, wasn't as overjoyed to be with the Avengers. It's not that he wasn't happy to see them, he's just not happy to see them. Chances are Happy told them I was here. I'll remember this betrayal. I thought they were on a mission anyway! I've got to keep myself together a little while longer. Maybe I can sneak over to the kitchen to get some food. They probably won't let the class out of the living room area.

"Peter, aren't you going to say hi to your boss?" Flash hissed in my ear causing me to flinch away. "Maybe I should go ask him about your important work that you couldn't possibly do because you're too dumb."
"Is there a problem here?" Peter's head snapped up at the sound of Tony's voice. Behind his mentor was the very intimidating Avengers that seemed to be smiling with evil sweet grins and squinted eyes. They were also dressed in their combat outfits, weapons and all. Except for Tony, but he always has access to it.
"No, Mr. Stark. Don't worry about it," Peter got out before Flash could say anything else. He'd likely give himself a death sentence if he spoke again.
Everyone looked unconvinced. Natasha casually tossed a knife at the ground, narrowly missing Flash's feet. He immediately went running to his friends who were snickering. Peter didn't miss the glare that Flash sent his way.
"Is that the kid that bullies you? Eugene 'Flash' Thompson?" Peter whipped his head around to face his mentor.
"Well... y-yeah. That's Flash. It's fine, nothing to worry about!" Peter quickly said. He didn't want them to go into rage mode, and the looks they were giving Flash didn't look too promising. "Really, it's fine! He's barely spoken to me in the past few days!"
Tony didn't look convinced, neither did Natasha, Clint, Sam and Cap. Bruce and Thor seemed slightly confused. No one had told them about Flash knowing that they would both go on a rampage together that couldn't be stopped.
Changing the subject, Peter quickly asked, "How was the mission? You guys had to go to Russia or something right? Too bad I couldn't come."
Tony shook his head, "You had school and your aunt would never let you miss so many days. What if you got hurt! How would we explain that to her?" Many bottled up emotions bubbled to the surface as Peter listened to Tony talk about his aunt and how the mission was dangerous.
Clenching his teeth, Peter shook his head. "I'm sure she wouldn't have minded," he spat angrily. Peter must've spoken a little louder than he had meant too because every head in the room turned towards him and the Avengers. "I... I'm sorry." Tears filled his eyes and he tried to wipe them away before anyone saw.

Naturally, when you're in front of a couple spies, a super soldier, two angry scientists and a god, it's difficult to hide things like that. Oh, and don't forget about the class of 28 that all laugh at and bully Peter, including the teacher.
"Peter?" He heard Tony ask, "Are you okay?" Someone placed a hand on his injured shoulder and Peter couldn't help the pained yelp that left his lips. Yanking his shoulder away from the gentle hand, Peter felt the wounds open. He knew blood would start staining his hoodie and everyone would know if he didn't get out of there.
Darting towards the kitchen area, Peter heard angry shouting behind him. Someone grabbed his injured shoulder again, this time harshly pulling him backwards. A noise resembling a scream left Peter's mouth as he fell backwards.
"You insolent brat! Do you have any idea how much trouble you're in?" Mr. Kil's voice screamed in my ear, "I will have you expelled for this! First, you lied about working here and probably paid that security guard to let you in without a pass. Then you talk to the Avengers like you're old friends!" Gasps filled the room.
Mr. Kil's grip disappeared in a second and six people surrounded Peter. "Your shoulder!" Steve gasped. "Who the hell did this to you?" Blood had already seeped through his hoodie. This isn't good, Peter cursed himself out in his head.
"You're bone thin! Have you been eating anything?" Natasha asked, concern and anger filling the atmosphere of the room. Peter saw her hands itching towards her knives.
"Get away from my student! I'll take care of him!" Mr. Kil tried to order the Avengers. Closing his eyes, Peter leaned into Tony as a loud thunk resounded across the room. Hopefully they didn't just kill him, Peter thought absently.
"Get out!" Bruce's voice boomed full of rage. "Get out before I lose control!" Peter was amazed he hadn't yet. He could barely move and decided to trust the Avengers poor judgement.
Faintly Peter heard voices of complaint and then silence as the spinning of Thor's hammer filled the air. The elevator gave a ding and the class was gone.
"Sam get the kid some food. Clint help Natasha find where that teacher lives and every single fact about him. Steve, call Fury and tell him we might become fugitives soon. Bruce, I need you to calm down and help me stitch Peter up, okay?" Tony gave out orders. "Sam, call May and—"
Peter cut him off, "She left. Found out I was Spider-Man and left... left me all alone."
Silence filled the room causing Peter to open his eyes. Everyone was staring at him blankly, frozen in place. Tony had tensed as he pulled Peter carefully into his arms. "Don't worry, Peter. We're here now. No one is going to leave you alone ever again." Everyone nodded in agreement.
And with that Peter finally smiled. The past two weeks had been some of the hardest in his life. The physical and emotional pain nearly becoming too much for him to handle. Now... now he had a family. People he forgot he trusted... that loved him and cared when he got hurt. How could he forget about this practically adoptive family of his?
Tears streamed down his cheeks as Peter smiled up at all of them, "Thank you."
"This is what family does, kid." Clint ruffled Peter's hair, "Never forget that."
"I won't."
Tony carried him to his lab where him and Bruce quietly stitched up Peter's four stab wounds. They discovered multiple other injuries that they cleaned as well. Clint had prepared what looked to be a ten course meal for Peter. When he saw it, Peter became painfully aware of the loud grumbling coming from his stomach. Sam turned on a movie once Peter had finished around half the food.
Peter fell asleep during that movie with the six Avengers surrounding him. He woke up with them still there.
That's when he knew for sure they would never leave.
Peter finally had a family again.
