《Fallen: b.b (book 1) REWRITING》chapter twenty- nine

Anastasia had lost count of the days she was stuck in the psych ward, all she knew was that nurses came in three times a day, untied her bounds, watched her eat, and then tied her back up. Being in the psych ward was hurting her mental stability more than helping it, which felt ironic. Anastasia was driving herself mad over everything, she grew afraid to close her eyes scared she would met again with another fever dream, it didn't matter to her anymore if it was Bellamy or Clarke, they both hurt the same. It didn't help her that her frantic mind had come around to Mount Weather.
"Anastasia" the door creaked open as she flickered her eyes over to the absent white walls that were lined with glass. It wasn't any of the three eating times, so she instantly became defensive, "The President wants to see you".
Without warning the restraints were loosened as she was folded into the hands of two guards as she was carried roughly out of medical down a white, pristine hallway, before a slight turn towards the darker part of the hallway as she was issued into the sliding open door.
"Clarke ran away" were the words on the President's mouth as she stood at the very entrance of the room standing behind Jasper, Anastasia stood speechless as the President acknowledged her presence while Jasper still stood unaware, "I tried to convince her that she was safe here, but she couldn't stop looking for enemies when she was among friends"
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to be disrespectful but" Jasper spoke.
"Clarke wouldn't just abandon us" Anastasia retorted stepping forward as Jasper looked behind him to meet one of his missing friend's face.
"I wish it wasn't the case" The President remarked.
"Why? Are you looking for her?" Jasper questioned.
"I can't risk the lives of my people to bring back someone who doesn't want to be here" The president started, shaking his head, "I hope you can understand that"
"Yeah" Jasper rasped out.
"What I can do is let you go after her" he issued to the two.
"Could I come back?" Jasper asked abruptly.
"Of course you can, both of you" he replied gripping Jasper's shoulder looking between both of them, "This is your home now" he stated, "You're welcome to stay here, as long as you like" he grinningly added, "Let me know what you decide" Dante issued Jasper out of the door, as Anastasia followed behind, "Ah, Ana may you stay?" He stated as the door closed behind Jasper, "Whatever you decide, is up to you..." he began causing Ana to turn around.
"I'm leaving" Ana brute in.
"Of course, but do consider..." The president started again.
"Thank you for everything but Clarke is out there, and I must find her" Anastasia interjected again.
"If that is your truth, then you can go" Dante said ushering towards the door, as Anastasia pulled it open walking back down the hall towards the living quarters she hasn't seen in three days.

Abby and Clarke pushed the tent cloth out of the way to see the sun as the bustling Ark was going through their day. Clarke rounded a corner to find Raven sitting on a stack of boxes.
"Hi" Clarke said gleefully as Raven struggled to use her crutches to stand up as the hugged.
"I've been waiting out here all night" Raven replied, "But Abby said you needed sleep" she uttered pulling out of the hug as Clarke glance down at the machine strapped to Raven's legs.
"Raven, I" Clarke began feeling guilty about it.
"Sucks, but I'm dealing with it" Raven shook off, nodding. As a buzzing of the gate downs got their attention as 4 kids, Monroe, Octavia, Bellamy, and a unknown girl walked through. One of the guards stripped Bellamy of his weapon.
"Bellamy" Clarke exasperated thinking back to Anastasia in Mount Weather.
"Go, I'll catch up" Raven shooed her off, as Clarke nodded walking over to the main gates as her mother was issuing off the unknown girl and Monroe towards the medical camp.
Clarke ran into him with a hug, collapsing.
"Now, there's something I thought I'd never see" Octavia uttered, as Clarke went to hug her, "I'm glad you're okay"
"You too" Clarke replied pulling out of the hug.
"How many are with you?" Bellamy asked looking around for brunette waves in the crowd. As Raven came up behind Clarke, pulling Octavia into a hug.
"None" Clarke uttered factly, watching Bellamy's face drop.
"Not even.." Bellamy blurted out his voice breaking.
"It's a long story" Clarke replied, "Where's Finn?" She asked.
"He's looking for you" Bellamy replied.
"And you believe him?" Monty questioned incredulously, as they stood in the room, Monty and Anastasia were already packing a bag.
"Yes, I believe him, Clarke left us, she faked being crazy to get into medical and she took off" Jasper cursed.
"We need to go after her" Anastasia uttered as Monty agreed, they all turned to the thump that was heard as Maya stepped into the room, Monty stepped off of Jasper heading back to his pack. As Maya walked towards Jasper.
"Where are you going?" Jasper questioned.
"The drop ship for staters" Anastasia blurted in.
"I just heard" she stated, "You're leaving?" Maya questioned sadly.
"Yes, we are" Monty blurted out coldly as Anastasia jabbed him in the side.
No, we are not!" Jasper bit back at him.
"What would Clarke do?" Monty asked rhetorically rough.
"No, you can't!" Maya objected, "it's too dangerous"
"Don't worry, I'm a coward" Jasper joked.
"You're not" Maya shook her head, "You're smart, you can't make her come back" she stated.
"Monty's right, she'd go after me, but why am I so scared to do the same thing?" He questioned as Maya's face and hands began to burn, Jasper looked back up to her as her face began to turn red, "Whoa, what?" He questioned watching her face change.
"Radiation" Maya wheezed, "There's a containment breach" she cried.
"But how?" Jasper questioned as Maya ran swiping her card over the access points, as they all came up red.

"I don't know!" Maya screamed growing frantic as she pounded on the doors, she turned back to the trio as her skin began to boil, desperately the three ran over calling for help as the banged on the doors, as Maya growingly got worst.
Maya's was basically dead when the guards and doctors arrived, as they quickly ushered her to one of the medical rooms, as Jasper, Anastasia, and Monty followed behind. Dr.Tsing met them later.
"Temperature is 104 and rising, blood pressure is 180 over 120, blister coverage now 75%, standard treatment isn't working" She went on looking down at her clipboard as Maya laid there unconscious.
"Wait!" Jasper halted her words, "What does that mean? Is there nonstandard treatment?" He questioned.
"There is one thing we could try" Tsing suggested.
"What are you waiting for?" Jasper questioning yelled at her.
"It's unorthodox, because you were raised in space, your circulatory systems developed the ability to filter radiation out of your blood" she began explaining, "Now it's just a theory, but if we were to circulate Maya's blood through your system I could make her better".
"What happens to him?" Anastasia asked stepping forward, blood transfusions were uncommon doctor practice, there were more test that had to be done to make sure that both would come out alive.
"I'm not sure" Dr.Tsing shook her head. Monty looked over to Jasper.
"I know that look" Monty stated stepping up to Jasper, "It's too dangerous" he added.
"I'm in" Jasper retorted shaking his head. Dr.Tsing nodded with a smile issuing him out of the room, so he could prepare, as Anastasia and Monty were told to stay in the room and wait for them to come back.
"I don't believe them" Monty blurted out, "I don't believe that they haven't done this before" he cleared up as Anastasia's eyes met his.
"There was tubes of blood running into the medical room out of a secret door past it" Anastasia added fumbling with her hands.
"Where did the door led?" Monty questioned jumping up.
"I don't know" Anastasia replied, "That's when they got me, and took me into the psych ward" she stated, "They're hiding something, and it's behind that door"
Jasper walked in dressed in a gown as he was placed into the bed beside Maya, Dr.Tsing began with sticking a need into his breast.
"You sure about this?" Monty questioned, "Look at her" he pointed to the heaving girl in the next bed all covered with burning red and black blistered, "I know you like her, but her blood is about to go into your body" Monty pointed out.
Jasper turned his head in reluctance to Maya, as she began seizing, while her EKG went crazy.
"What is it?" He questioned sitting up to watch as Dr.Tsing was handed something as the others tried to hold her down, "What's happening?" Jasper questioned, as doctor Tsing stuck a needle into her causing Maya to calm down.
"We need to do this now" Dr.Tsing urged.
"Jasper" Monty protested already knowing his stance.
"I can't just let her die!" Jasper cried, "Let's do this" He hyped, as Tsing walked over to him removing the cover from another needle.
"This will sting a little" Tsing uttered sticking the needle shallowly into his collarbone, Jasper nodded as she stuck it in more deeply cause Jasper to yelp.
"Ow! A little!" He cried as Dr.Tsing flipped the switch. Deja-vu hit Anastasia as Maya's blood surged through the tube into Jasper. He hissed as the blood flooded into his body.
"What is it?" Monty questioned.
"What's happening" Anastasia questioned lunging at the needle trying to pull it out.
"Nothing, I feel nice" Jasper floppily replied, with a giddy smile, causing Anastasia to retract her hand.
"Maya's been heavily sedated" Tsing interjected, "You will of course, feel that too" she lightly put, "It's perfectly normal"
"If you've never done this before, how do you know?" Anastasia questioned her.
"You're right" Tsing retracted, "I should've said, it's to be expected" she nodded, she cleared her throat, "This will take awhile, why don't you head back to your room" she urged, "I'll send for you once he's awake" Monty rejected the offering silencing her as he took a seat in a marked chair while Anastasia stood by Jasper's side watching the process take action.
It took hours for the process to be finished but when it ended Jasper was spent. All of Maya's blisters had vanished leaving a light red hue on her face, but she was still past out.
"What happened?" Maya asked waking up turning to Dr.Tsing.
"Containment breach in the dorm" She stated, "No one has ever been as sick as you and come back" Tsing cheered, "How do you feel?"
"I feel great" Maya replied with a smile, "How is that possible?" She questioned. Dr.Tsing stepped back to reveal, Jasper barely conscious, and Anastasia was sleeping in her own chair next to Monty, that one of the doctors went out of get sometime during the transfusion.
"Jasper saved your life" Tsing uttered as Maya sat up, Jasper cocked his next to the side, smiling at her.
"Hey" Jasper said sloppily. The door opened as Cage stepped in.
"Can we speak with you outside, please?" Cage asked Tsing, as she nodded stepping out of the room.
"I told you you were brave" Maya stated, as Jasper smiled back before turning to the other side feeling a urge of nausea, as he threw up on the ground.
Both Anastasia and Monty woke up to the sounds of hacking as the watched in disgust. Eventually Tsing came back telling the two that they had to leave and let both Maya and Jasper rest as their recovery would be awhile. Reluctantly they left the room, finding the others already in the dorm, passed out already.

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

An Un-Ideal Eternity
An Un-Ideal Eternity is about a man named Desmond, who is killed, revived, and then finds himself immortal in a post-apocalyptic society. Just because it’s a society doesn’t mean that either he or “they” have to be civilized. And just because a gentleman has become immortal does not mean that he has no dangers to be wary of. The good news is that he’s been afforded some very kind and very generous ministrations from his future-self. The bad news is that all those efforts might still not be enough, to allow our hero, to live in as untroubled and as un-tumultuous a manner as he’d prefer.
