as soon as she was issued out of the quarantine, with Anastasia and Jasper who were also on separate missions. Anastasia was curious but she knew she had to handle whatever Clarke was planning, while Jasper went off somewhere, probably distracted by his breakfast plans with Maya.
"Clarke, slow down" Anastasia begged as Clarke pushed past the hoard of people in the community area. Where the arrangement of breakfast laid, as the president stood in line, Clarke stopping in front of him causing Anastasia to move to the side, as the President's attention was brought to both of the girls.
"We need to talk" Clarke said firming placing her hand on the table in front of her. President Wallace diverted his eyes to both of the girls, let out a quick smile.
"Sure" he let out, "Let's talk over breakfast" he grabbed his plate off of the table pointing over to the absent tables on the side.
"Who shot that soldier" Clarke bluntly asked with a stern look across her face. Getting attention from everyone in the room not just President Wallace.
"Clarke" Anastasia protested her rude tone. President Wallace scanned the crowd before grabbing Clarke's arm dragging her over bumping Anastasia along to a corner.
"The patrol that was looking for you people was attacked by what you call grounders" he whispered lowly.
"I fought grounders" Clarke stated still with the sternness in her voice folding her arms over each other, "they don't use guns" she added
"I never mentioned guns" Wallace replied matter of factly, "Sergeant Shaw was shot by an arrow" he replied
"That's not true" Clarke protested, "I saw the wound, Anastasia saw the wound, tell him" she pointed over to Anastasia towards the president.
"Clarke" President Wallace let out, "Sometimes, we feel so strongly about our people we see things that aren't there" he said comforting.
"Anastasia, tell him!" Clarke commanded ignoring the president's remarks.
"We'd like to see the body" Anastasia politely replied looking over to Clarke and then the president.
"Of course" President Wallace replied setting down his plate on a standing table, walking back over to the girls that watch his movements, "Come with me" he added moving through the breakfast crowd leading Anastasia and Clarke along with him. They navigated through the empty halls, pushing through heading in the direction the girls just came from. President Wallace stayed at the door neglecting to put on the intensive outfit before pulling out his key card, sliding it over the scanner. Instead of the empty hallway in the quarantine room, guards stood at a post near the opening door, holding guns close to their heart, undressed from their hazmat suit staring forward.
President Wallace walked in first bringing the guards more to attention. Anastasia and Clarke followed, as the doors closed behind them. A doctor approached them, nodding the the President with a file placed in her hand.
"Tell Doctor Tsing, we need to see Sergeant Shaw's body" the president uttered earning a nod from the women.
"Of course, President" she replied turning around, walking back, down the long stretch of hallways. The girls watch as the women sauntered down the hallway before making a turn disappearing amongst the art.
"This way" the president called out motioning the girls to follow him, heading into a room thar stood across from the one they were in earlier this morning.
They filed into the room, as the door slammed behind them. Clarke and Anastasia pulled themselves to one side of the room, while the president stayed on the other. Complete silence fell over the room, Clarke shooting inquisitive looks at President Wallace and Anastasia. Anastasia was more focused on the set up of the room. It was weird, unlike the other room their were no tables, nothing but two lone counters that hung above holding medicines, but none of them looked serious, over the counter mainly, but it seemed oddly placed.

and a stainless steel drawer.
The door opened as a table was wheeled into the room, with a covered up body on it.
"Sorry to keep you waiting" A women's voice said that walked in next after the body, "We had to finish decontamination" She replied taking a spot next President Wallace as the body laid in between the four people dividing them,
"Thank you, Dr.Tsing" the president said with a short nod, reciprocated by the doctor.
"Um, doctor, the man with the burns, how is he?" Anastasia asked, remembering the horrific scene she saw earlier.
"He's improving" Tsing replied with a nod.
"I'd like to talk to him" Clarke demanded.
"Clarke" Anastasia protested once again shooting up at her.
"Sir, only patients are allowed in medical" the doctor replied turning to President Wallace.
"We can arrange that" The president replied with a smile at the girls, "I'm sure a exception can be made especially for Anastasia, she's a trained doctor" he replied smugly, turning to doctor Tsing, as she nodded grabbing the white fabric that laid over the body pulling it aside, as the dead body began to reveal itself.
"What is this" Anastasia asked noticing a silver cylindrical object protruding from the dead man's body, with two circle groves in it attached near where his heart should be.
"It's a dialysis shunt" doctor Tsing replied bluntly, "We all have them in case of exposure" she added waving slightly over to the president and them to herself, "Would you like to see the exit wound?" She looked over to the girls sending her eyes to Clarke with her arms folded over each other. Tsing walked over to to body and began to lift in up, gaining assistance from the president, as Sergeant Shaw's back revealed itself along with the exit wound. Anastasia wasn't familiar with arrow wounds, but she knew bullet wounds, it was hard not to when that was the main weapon used on the Ark in any situation. The outline of the wound was too jagged to be a bullet wound as the skin seemed distressed unlike with a bullet wound, the bullet would glide through only leaving a clear hole, unless it broke inside of him, "Sergeant Langston was forced to push the arrow out in the field" Tsing remarked as she let go of his shoulder following with the president, "Thank you, sir" she remarked to President Wallace, "We've got it right here" She added walking towards a silver drawer as she pulled out a clear bag out of it, coming back to the girls with it in hand holding it over the body, brandishing the blooded arrow head, black and sharp, dripping with the thick, red liquid.
"Thank you, doctor Tsing" President Wallace spoke clearing his voice, "I believe we've seen everything we wanted to, right?" He questioned looking over to the girls who slightly nodded before, Tsing retracted the bag placing it back into the silver drawer, placing the white cotton drape back over Sergeant Shaw's body. The body was taken away, followed by doctor Tsing. Clarke walked out after pushing past Anastasia, who followed, "Anastasia" she turned around to find President Wallace calling her name, "I do hope that Clarke eventually comes around to understand that we are here to help all of you" he spoke as Anastasia stood in limbo of the doorframe.
"She's not exactly trusting" Anastasia remarked
"Well if I get her into speak with Sergeant Langston, maybe it will be another step towards ganging that trust" He said, "but you helping her understand our ways will also help" he added.

"Of course, President" she spoke like she was addressing the chancellor, Anastasia even felt like she was addressing the chancellor, the president smiled before Anastasia walked out of the room turning down the hallway that led her back to the door trying to keep up with Clarke, who had a head start. She picked up her speed tumbling through the hallways searching for the blonde locks.
"Clarke!" She called out turning the corner finding herself met with Jasper and Clarke in a heated conversation as they stood at the foot of Anastasia's and Clarke's shared bed.
"Why do you want to screw this up for us" Jasper exacerbated.
"I don't know what this is" Clarke replied back, exhausted.
"This is safe" Anastasia replied bringing the attention towards her as she stood in the doorway.
"Ana?" Clarke questioned shocked by Anastasia deviant turn on her, fully in front of their people.
"This is food" Jasper rerouting the conversation, "A real bed, clothes, and my personal favorite" he began finishing off Anastasia's comment, "Not getting speared by grounders" he finished bitterly. Clarke tried to speak up but what shot down again by Jasper, "How long do you think they will let us stay here if you keep this up?" Jasper questioned aggressively, becoming a little hostile towards Clarke.
"Did someone threatened you?" Clarke asked concerned bringing on a laugh from Jasper, before he looked back at her straightly.
"No, it's just common sense" Jasper replied rudely, shaking his head.
"Jasper" Anastasia said taking a stand in front of them calling his war march off on Clarke, "just let me handle this" she uttered whispering turning back to Clarke, "look, we're guest, not prisoners" Anastasia replied looking straight into Clarke's eyes, "What would you do with a guest who kept calling you a liar and generally acted like an ungrateful ass?" Anastasia questioned still keeping her soft and kind tone of voice, clashing with her words.
"Kick their ungrateful ass out" Miller said bringing attention to himself as he laid on his bed with a magazine folded in his hands.
"Right now" Jasper spoke up pushing past Anastasia, "The greatest threat to us is you!" He reprimanded, pointing his finger at Clarke, as his words shot out like venom.
"Okay!" Anastasia yelled pushing Jasper back, "That's enough!" She stated, bringing herself to face a defensive Jasper, she went back to a discouraged Clarke, "I understand why you are defensive" she spoke, "but in the days we've been here, no one has tried to hurt us, kill us, or trap us in any way" Anastasia's explained, "That's has to mean something to you, because it does to me" she replied, before Clarke met her eyes before turning away and walking out of the doorway.
"She'll come around eventually" Jasper spoke from behind Anastasia, "I hope" he added with a sigh, "I mean at least you have" Jasper spoke licking his lips, realizing in embarrassment what he just said, "I didn...." he tried retracting.
"It's fine" she responded dryly, "Clarke will come around, when she realizes what I have" she responded. Before stepping outside of the room, leaving behind Jasper and Miller. She walked down the industrial hallways before turning into the dining area, finding it completely empty, and cleared out. She could hear her tummy grumble as the smell of food still wafted through the air but none were found.
"Lucky I saved you a plate" she heard beside her turning to find the president seated at one of the tables with a full plate in front of him as he looked at her with a smile. Anastasia slowly walked over to him, smelling the mixture of breakfast on the plate. The president pushed the plate to a empty place in front of a vacant seat. Anastasia gripped the top of the chair, wrapping her hands around the wooden pole, pulling the chair out of line, making enough room for her to slide into the spot, coming face to face with the plate of food, the president could feel her glare on the food, "eat" he said in an almost command tone pointing to the plate. Anastasia didn't know where to start as she was faced with foods she hadn't seen before. Anastasia reached out for a circular delicacy, gripping the fluffy, brown circle in her hand, turning it before ripping off a piece, putting it in her mouth, chewing up the fluffy patty as a wave of sweetness flooded into her mouth, followed up by the melty taste of creamy butter. She let out a sigh of love, taking another piece watching a smile reach Wallace's face, "good?" He joked looking at her amused face, "no pancakes in space, not even for a princess?" He questioned, making Anastasia stop eating, shooting him a look of annoyance collecting her self, placing the rest of the pancake on the plate, smoothing down her dress.
"There was no special treatment on the Ark" Anastasia replied coldly, "Everyone eats, drinks, and dress the same" she explained keeping her harshness, "Everyone used to" she corrected her self, clearing her voice feeling the pancakes blocking her airway.
"Of course" He replied putting his hands up, giving up, his hand came down, falling all the way down, disappearing under the table, as she watched his arms move, "Here" he said as his hands came back up, a book laying in his palms, "It was Clara's favorite book, she said that one day she would eventually know what a love like they had felt like" he explained as the books fell into Anastasia's hand, a fading title barely showing.
She made out the title, Romeo and Juliet. Anastasia had already read the play, it was revered as a profound classic on the Ark, and it was even more important as one of the originals amongst the Ark, brought a copy with them, causing it to be one of the only paper books they had a copy off. Of course, the paper copy of the play wasn't just given out, Anastasia only touched it once in a fleeting movement of defiance of 10, when she found herself left alone in the library.
"It's actually a play, Shakespeare" she spoke holding the book sensitively in her hands, thinking that she was holding the Ark's copy in her hand instead, "He...umm..he wrote plays not books, people used to perform them, for centuries, before the war" Anastasia choked up in the presence of the book.
"Really know you stuff" President Wallace joked, chuckling slightly shaking his head.
"I was assigned Hamlet by my father and the chancellor, but something about this play called to me, so instead of reading Hamlet, I read Romeo and Juliet" Anastasia explained holding the book, balancing it in one hand instead of one. Her other hand slid over the binding and the rough cover, "When my father found out he was furious, he told me that "Romeo and Juliet was nothing more that a fluffy teenage romance, that brings about thoughts of rebellion and the overbearing of loving"" She continued keeping the attention of the President as he kept quiet, "He then explained how love had no place in the Ark, in my life, because if I fell in love, I wouldn't be able to be chancellor" She let out with a deep breath, "Now thinking about it, i guess he was kind of right" Anastasia chuckled lightly, "it wasn't a threat, it was a warning" She explained meeting her eyes again with Wallace's, "because we become blinded and useless when love is involved" Anastasia put before reverting her eyes to the book, taking a gulp, before speaking, letting the silence bring her back to what she could find of calm, "I became blind and useless, and then everything went to shit" she cursed out forcefully slamming the book on table, throwing her hands into her hair combing through it like she was looking for something.
"You can't blame yourself for what happened" President Wallace calming replied watching Anastasia break down, "Sometimes we can't change fate" he added, "The only thing we can do is focus on the future and try to make it better" Wallace explained.
"I can blame myself, I shouldn't have.." She began her hands still eloping her head.
"You can't change anything now" The president stopped her, "Moving on is the only this you can do, I believe that you and your people, even Clarke can make a home here in Mount Weather" Wallace said with a smile.
"I should probably check on Clarke" Anastasia said standing up, "We had an argument, and it got heated" she explained escaping the room, heading towards the community room, where mainly everybody was sprawled out, with a few excepts. She spotted Miller sitting in a chair, laughing along with a few of the others, she rushed over to him, not being able to find Clarke among the crowd, "Miller" she called out getting his attention, "Where's Clarke?" She asked almost in a accusatory tone, walking up to him.
"I mean" he stumbled, his finger pointing over to an empty chair, "she was over there" he stated looking at the chair, "she left, I don't know where she went" he added, gulping slightly.
"I know where she is" Anastasia heard a voice say behind her, turning around to meet, a familiar face that she didn't know, "I just saw her walk into our room" he added pointing towards the hallway.
"Thank you" Anastasia replied pushing past the kid as she walk into the hallway heading towards the room, reaching the doorway as she heard a scream echo through the room. Anastasia ran in to find Clarke holding her blooded arm, up against the steel corner of one of the support bars of a bunk bed as the blood oozed out. Clarke met Anastasia horrified eyes, with guilt as she stared at the unwelcome and unexpected girl, while leveraging her arm as liquid poured out.
"I can explain" Clarke pleaded, walking over to Anastasia holding up her arm, maneuvering it out of the bars of the bunk bed, "Somethings going on" Clarke tried to say walking towards Anastasia, as she stood shocked by the scene she witnessed.
"Clarke!" Anastasia screamed, stopping her, "Stop! and i don't just mean talking, I mean everything" Anastasia poured out, "I thought that you were just being careful, but this is insane, i'm generally worried about you"
"Listen, please" Clarke begged, "The guard, we saw this morning" she started, "He...he's fine, barely anything, just his hand is scraped up, something is going on" She blurted out in a rush, barely being able to get her thoughts out.
"Clarke, you talking crazy" Anastasia stated, knowing that was impossible, "You're seeing things"
"No!" Clarke shouted, "I'm not, I know what I saw" she claimed, "That's why I reopened my wound, they're hiding something, and it's something with their medical practices" Clarke explained.
"Clarke, you're not making sense" Anastasia pleaded, worried, "I need to get you to medical, you've lost a lot of blood" She said grabbing a hold of Clarke minding her opened arm, gripping the ripped off bandage, pressing it to the wound, as she carried her to the elevator pressing the button that led to the medical room, rushing her to the door, as she banged on them, "Someone! Help!" She called out, as one door cracked opened, Doctor Tsing showing herself as she looked at the seen.
"Oh god" she breathed out grabbing Clarke gently, Anastasia tried to follow getting pushed back by Tsing, "Only patients in medical" she stated closing the door behind her, leaving Anastasia in the hallway, of the medical level.
