《Skaikru ☣ Bellamy Blake [2]》Vulnerable Side

The signs of Praimfaya were visible now as more people have come inland to get away from the sea. The dark clouds loomed overhead as people watched them anxiously. Waiting was the worst part. Waiting for death was what they were all doing. Despite them not having a solution to the upcoming threat, no Trikru deserted their general in holding the tower.
When Azgeda had returned Echo expected no fight against them as she went toward the tower only for arrows to come flying at them. With parts of Polis being occupied with other clans they had managed to take the temple for themselves.
Thunder rolled overhead as all eyes shifted toward it. It was only a minute until a drop fell down and hit Nia on her cheek. The sting burned her hand quickly wiping it away.
"Black rain." She spoke out attracting those closest to her. "Black rain!" She yelled out alerting others.
Hurrying away from their posts, everyone was seeking shelter. Most were able to make it under cover before the rain began to fall. Nia glanced around her making sure that all people were safe and secure. A scream rang out in the air gaining attention.
A man fell to the ground as he tried to find cover but the rain was pouring down on him. Nia looked at him before looking to the sky. She couldn't leave him there to suffer. She pulled her hood up on her cloak before sending a look to Tate and hurrying out.
"No! Nia!" People called behind her as she ran toward him. The rain burned the skin on her arm as soon as it made contact.
She knelt beside him pulling him up and throwing an arm around her neck. She grinded her teeth together the pain beginning to get to her. She pulled him along as she hurried back to their shelter. Once she was closer, she shoved him forward before following behind. Others took him away while Fox and Jade began to look over Nia. Small spots began to form on Nia's arm as it was the only thing fully exposed.
Jade poured water on it causing Nia to make a sound at the sudden sensation. Despite her being expose to the rain longer than most her marking were not as bad as many. This bewildered Tate as he looked over her shoulder and glance at a girl not far from her. The girl's skin looked like boils after not being in the rain for long. Nia's were little dots littering up and down her arm.
Once her skin began to settle, Nia made her way to the man she had saved and began to pour water on his skin. The action caused him to cry out as it stung nonetheless. From the amount of exposure there was not much Nia could do. Jade and Lynn began to assist him as he began to moan at the pain.

Nia looked over others before making her way to a back room with Tate following behind. "Our hold on the tower is secure. No one would be out in the rain like that." She spoke out thinking he was worried about the postion they held out there.
"Your skin isn't burned as others, but you were more exposed." Tate commented causing Nia to stiffen. She wasn't positive in why her skin was reacting like others only a theroy in her.
She let out a sigh as she knew she couldn't hide it as long as she'd like. But if it was anyone that she would tell and keep it a secret it'd be Tate.
"Maybe it's because I'm not like most. At least not any more." Nia pointed out before unholstering her dagger. She cut a small line on her palm before holding it out to Tate.
The black blood oozed out of the wound before trickling down her arm. Tate's was astonished at the sight and grabbed her wrist. Nia pulled it away before being to wrap it up. Her secret was out.
"Why haven't you told anyone? You are the Commander." Tate spoke about their current standings. With a commander rising they wouldn't have to despute amongst themselves. They could unite under one leader. A Trikru leader.
"Because becoming Commander means holding that positon until I die. Until another could rise." Nia spoke out. Her true intentions was something she kept in herself as others wouldn't understand.
"You don't want to live." Tate realized her meaning as it hid in her eyes. "Everything you've done is to keep those girls out there safe and that's the only reason, isn't it?"
"I've watched my friend die without a fight. My sister and brother died without me knowing. And among that pain I subjected myself to another pain all togehter. I killed my child because I couldn't handle the pain I was feeling. I was too weak to handle it all and now that we face death again I'm ready to face my fate. But I'll be damned if those girls are left to that. They deserve a chance to live and no one will stand in the way of that. They can try but I will surely cut them down before anything could happen." Nia admitted all at once. A tear trickled down before she hurried to wipe it away.
Tate had known about all that she had suffered and even admired at how she was still pushing against it all and leading them. But he didn't know how much she was suffering from. His admiration only grew as he realized her fighting everyday was worth something. It held meaning.

It was quiet as the words hung in the air.
"Your secret is safe with me. I will see to it that they are given a chance. Till the end." Tate spoke up.
Nia nodded her head as she stepped out of the room. Her fight wasn't over not in the slightest.
The black rain poured around them bring death another step closer. Once it had begun to fall evreyone ran to seek shelter. But there amount of rain in that little time left it's own destruction. People lied in agony as the burn on the skin festered. Not only that but they had recieved a distress call over the radio causing Bellamy to step up to try and help them.
Despite Kane's advice Bellamy had gone out to try and reach the two people who were standed in the rain. He wanted to be able to help. To make up for his actions.
But his actions faltered when the Rover got stuck and there was nothing he could do without exposing himself to the harsh rain. As time went by his haunting thoughts came back. Not only did he not know the whereabouts of his sister but Nia and the girls were far away in Polis and he had no knowledge of the condtions of them as well.
His thoughts lead him back to when they were all back in Arkadia and the only threat they faced was that of Azgeda. He wondered what might've happened if Nia hadn't come to Arkadia, would he have still harbored hatred for them?
He pulled the picture out of his pocket and glanced at them. He wished he had some sort of memento for Jade and Fox as they meant something to him as well but that ultrasound and drawing was all he had.
He wondered how different his life might've been if only he spoke with Nia. If he had picked up that gun. Then he wouldn't have to worry about all of them, they would be beside him. Lincoln and Alec might even been alive. His attention shifted back to the rain and noticed how it began to lift.
"Mark, Peter? The storm's on its way out. You still with me? Hey, Mark, come in. Do you read me?" He spoke through the radio hoping for an answer. "As soon as this rain clears, I'm out of this ditch and I'm on my way. Please tell me that you read me."
But no answer was given. The rain have overcome them.
"Bellamy, you did your best." Kane spoke up trying to spare him from the guilt.
"I failed. They're dead." Bellamy responded angry at himself for not being able to help them when they needed it.
"It's not your fault." Kane tried to persuade.
"I can't protect anyone. I can't protect my sister or Nia or the girls. I probably couldn't even protect my own child. They were right Alec and Lincoln's deaths are on me. It's my responsibility and I failed." Bellamy ranted.
How could he help save everyone if he couldn't help save two people?
"My mom passed out. She was there. She was in my hands. She was so helpless, and now what is she? Is she even alive? What is she?" The promise he had spoke long ago was broken many times over.
"And the girls are in Polis. How will I ever be able to get them back? I pushed them away and now I have no way of every getting them back." His worries all laid out in front of Kane.
"You didn't fail, Bellamy. You did everything you could for her. You came to the ground for her. You can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved. Your mother would've been proud of the man you've become. I know I am. Nia and the girls will forgive you. They all love you. And your child will grow up to become strong just like their father." Kane comforted as best as he could.
"You floated my mother." Bellamy responded back before breaking contact among them.
The guilt of their actions were creeping back into their lives as the inevitable approached. They would all come to terms with their demons while trying to find a way to live. To survive.
A/N: I unpublished this so I could add in this note. So Nia was pregnant but because she was fighting against the chip her body was under stress. This led to her having a miscarriage. But because she willingly took the chip, she believe that the miscarriage was her fault. Hence why she believes she killed her baby. I apologize if it wasn't clear in the chapter Trying of her miscarriage. Feel free to communicate with me if you are confused that way I can adress this better for future reference.

Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

Kindred souls are drawn together and they can bring calamity or salvation to their respective worlds. But what does this have to do with the story well, our friend Alexander is reborn into a world of magic but of course that’s not enough to mention him, no the true reason we will follow his story is because much like there are those who claim to remember their past life, he truly does have a head start in his case. I'll try to write it once a week, sometimes more if I feel like I’m on a roll but please I hope this stays a pleasant experience for us both.
