《Skaikru ☣ Bellamy Blake [2]》Trying

The wait seemed to be endless as Skaikru was trying their best to find a solution. In Polis, Nia was working another mission.
Nia had just entered the embassy after her venture out. She pulled her hood off along with her face mask and began to unburden herself from her weapons.
"Glad to see you back." Tate announces his presence as she moved around the room. "You've been out many times since Skikru's leave and each time I send someone after you, they lose you."
"That's because I don't need a babysitter to follow me. I've been taking care of myself for a long time." Nia retorted back. She had noticed the shadow following her around but in order for her to complete her task she needed to be alone.
"Whatever you're plan might have a better chance with more people helping." Tate offered knowing that her time out was bound to conjure something.
"More people means more risk. It's better this way then no one gets hurt." Nia responded back. She wouldn't allow other people to take the fall if anything went wrong with their plan.
"No one except you right." From their short time together, Tate was able to observe many things. One being she never liked putting others in danger especially if she could be the one to take it. "But you're not just risking your life but your child's as well."
Nia halted her movements at his statement. Not once had she openly commented on her state or discuss the fact further with anyone besides the girls and Indra. But even then it wasn't a long topic to linger on. She insisted she was okay and left the matter at that.
"How-" She began to ask.
"The girls can never seem to shut up about you. Jade let it slip but don't hold it against her. They both care very much for you. You don't need to worry about me telling your secret as well." Tate informed hoping to calm her nerves.
"There's not a secret to keep, at least not anymore." Nia finally revealed after a moment went by. She didn't want to speak about it but if she had too she might as well tell someone who seemed to be keeping a close eye on her well-being. She could have this talk with the others until it was the right time. "When I took the chip, I rebelled against the City of Light, that did not sit well with ALIE. She thought by me seeing all the ghosts haunting me that I would submit and help her bring more of us in. There were only a couple things that kept me fighting. I knew the risk I was taking in resisting but I had to do it and I've paid my price."
She hated the harsh reality of it all but there was nothing she could do now. Now they were facing the destruction of their entire race and she needed to ensure the safety of her people but more importantly, the safety of her girls. It was what she was fighting so hard for.
Tate went to speak out and hope to offer some comfort but before he could a guard entered bring attention to him. "I'm sorry to intrude but Nia, your presence is requested."
The two wasted no time in leaving the room and entering the common room of the embassy. There Nia could see the guards that have stuck with her since ALIE had been destroyed but among them was Indra with Kane by her side.

"Nia-" Indra spoke first hoping that Nia would be open to speak with her first.
"What is he doing here?" Nia asked not liking Skaikru's presence among them. Since ALIE had been destroyed, it seemed as if they were working against Trikru and that did not sit well with Nia.
"With Skaikru helping keep the peace, they needed a place to set up communication, I offered them one." Indra offered an explanation.
"No one chose to inform me?" Nia asked not please with this decision made behind her back.
"Skaikru's been an ally before and I chose to believe they still are now." Indra spoke hoping that her option might be enough to sway Nia.
"What does all of this have to do with me?" Nia asked getting tired of all useless information she was being given. She had more important things to worry about than Skaikru's position in Polis.
"We got a call over the radio. I'm not sure of the exact details but your assistance was requested in Arkadia." Kane informed quickly.
"And how do I know that a firing squad is waiting for me and the people I bring?" Nia questioned not willing to risk the lives of others for a call that had no information.
Kane sighed knowing that it would be more than difficult to try and convince Nia to go to Arkadia but he did not see her bringing up Pike so suddenly. Pike had been the sole reason for most of her suffering but the call seemed desperate.
"There won't be, I promise you. The call was clear and coming from Harper." Kane provided as much as he could hoping she'd consider it.
It took a moment for Nia to think things over as she wasn't sure on going. She wasn't very trusting at the moment but if Harper said it was urgent then whatever it was it would be. She looked to Tate before speaking.
"Tate, would you be willing to go on a trip with me?" She asked but already knowing the answer. He nodded his head and left to get things in order. Nia sent one last look at the duo before leaving the room herself.
Despite not wanting to bring more people, Tate advised against her orders and proceeded to bring a few guards. The trip in itself was quick as Nia wanted to return as quickly as possible. She couldn't stay away long if Trikru wanted a bigger foothold in Polis.
"Wait in the trees, be ready for anything." Nia ordered the extra guards around them. She wouldn't risk them unless she had too.
Tate looked at her uneasily but the look she sent back was not to be questioned. She expected there to be some resistance for them to enter through the gates with no problem. They rode in with their heads raised and paid no attention to the looks they were recieving. Nia halted her horse and slid off taking a look around to try and spot Harper anywhere near.
"Nia?" A voice called out behind her making her turn. Raven was the one walking toward her. The two had a sense of understanding but now they were both unsure where they stood. Both were hoping that their predicament didn't disrupt the development they created with one another. "What are you doing here?"
"I was called here. Do you have any idea why?" Nia questioned still trying to figure out what was going on that requested her presence.
The information was new to Raven as she had been too preoccupied with the Ark. No one seemed to have any information of why Nia was there, at least until the cargo truck pulled into the yard.

"Let's find out." Raven commented thinking Nia's presence could be chalked up to one person.
Both girls walked to the Rover looking for answers, Tate not far behind. The first thing that caught Nia's attention was the people exiting the truck, many of them from clans she recognized.
"Get Riley and the others to med bay and tell them we'll take them to their villages in the morning." Bellamy instructed as they poured out and the others gathered around. He has been surprised to see that Nia had listened to the calling and came. He knew it was a stretch in asking Harper to tell her to come but she was here.
"What is this?" Nia questioned aloud trying to figure out how they were with them.
"Farm station had landed in Azgeda territory but we were wrong when we thought it was empty." Bellamy was the one to begin explain. "Azgeda had taken it over and were using them as slaves." He informed about all the people who were just there. "We're not sure what clans they all belong to, we figured you might be able to help us."
Nia nodded her head in understanding before looking to the direction they had all disappeared to. She was a general, a leader and she needed to help them all get home. She didn't comment further as she simply turned and went toward med bay.
No one said nothing until they waited till both Nia and Tate were out of earshot. After they were gone Raven went to the truck and looked inside. "Where is it?" she asked Bellmay knowing the reason they were out there in the first place.
"We didn't get the machine." Bellamy simply informed.
"It didn't survive landing?" Clarke asked positive that was the only reason why.
"No. It did, but I had a choice-bring the machine home or use it to save them." Bellamy responded making the choice he made clear.
"Oh, we're so screwed." Raven expressed as their further seem to dwindle away.
"We have time, but I'm not sacrificing any more innocent lives." Bellamy stated back. Since the whole Pike incident he had been gradually getting clarity. He couldn't handle the demons on his own but it was also his fault that he pushed passed the person helping him and gain more ghosts. But he made a decision that he would no longer make decisions that would affect Nia in any way.
"You just did." Clarke said as the option to save more lives was gone.
Bellamy sighed knowing that it was part of the package but in the moment it was the right decision to do. "I made the call, and I'll live with that."
"Yeah. You're not the only one who has to live with your call, as usual." Raven retorted back her words jabbing at him.
"Well, go tell them. Go tell Riley I should've left them to die." Bellamy fired back not liking the comment she made.
"Ok. How many of us will the ship sustain without a hydro-generator?" Clarke butted in before it could escalate further.
"No more than a hundred." Raven stated the hard truth that they were not pleased to hear.
"What am I suppose to tell the people now?" Clarke asked not liking the situation they were put in.
"The truth. Crowd source it like we talked about." Raven offered. She had wanted to ask Nia about it when she showed but the oddness of her presence put her off.
"Call for a general meeting." Clarke said deciding to face the facts.
Meanwhile in med bay, Nia was beginning to assest the situation around her. Spread out around the room were the slaves all waiting for some medical attention.
"I'm going to check on everyone. Can you find out their clans?" Nia spoke with Tate who nodded before going to those closest to him.
It was then that she noticed the little girl among them. The girl looked afraid of her new environment and unsure at all the things around her.
"Hello, I'm Nia kom Trikru. What's your name?" Nia said softly not wanting to spook her. The girl shuffled a bit as Nia approached her. "It's okay, I won't hurt you and I promise you no one else will."
Their conversation have seem to have caught the attention of someone around them as well. Since the whole ordeal, he had a soft spot for the small girl that was with them.
"Get away from her." He spoke out not knowing what her intentions might be.
Nia stood up ready to face the one coming toward her but she wasn't the only one. Tate was not far off and heard his sudden words and had his hand ready on his weapon just in case. Luckily for everyone Bellamy had emerged right at that moment.
"Riley, back off." He stated standing between the two, mostly keeping Riley from making another advance toward Nia.
"She's a Grounder." He responded the hatred he harbored showing.
Bellamy went to defend Nia but didn't get a word in as Nia spoke out for herself. "Then so is she." She gestured to the girl standing behind her. "And if you truly believe that I will take her and my people and go." She would not allow another person underestimate her and her capabilities.
It took a moment for Riley to back down and after he realized how much attention he had drawn, he thought it was best. But as he walked away he sent an glare at Nia who simply ignored the motion. Her and Bellamy shared a look before she turned and looked back at the girl.
"Do you mind if I look you over, I'm a healer." She asked carefully which the girl simply nodded.
"You're Trikru, I am too." The girl commented once she saw the marking on her sleeve that Nia had rolled up.
"Yeah, well tell me where your village is and I'll get you back to your family." Nia said wanting to make sure the girl is safe.
"I don't have a family. Not anymore. Azgeda killed my mother before they took me." The girl repied sadly.
"I'm sorry." Nia offered sad at how the girl's life had gone.
"What will happen to me? Where will I go?" She asked quickly scared about what would happen next.
It was in that moment of panic that Nia had a solution where the girl was ensured safety. "You can come with me. I have two other firls, one of them is about your age." She offered but the girl still seemed unsure. "Hey, I can promise you that I will keep you safe and I will look after you."
"My name's Lyn." The girl spoke giving Nia her answer. They shared a smile before Nia's attention was pulled.
"Nia, we're all set to go." Tate called out.
This lead all of them back outside. Tate had called in the ones from the treeline to help take all the others back.
Nia stopped beside Bellamy who was standing and watching them all getting ready to go. "Thank you for getting them out."
"No problem." Bellamy responded simply not expecting her to say that.
"Ready?" Nia asked Lyn as she mounted her horse and held out her hand to her. Once she was settled the group left to their respectful places among their society.
After ensure all the others would be delivered safely back, Nia and Tate began their trek back to Polis.
"Welcome to Polis, Lyn." Nia announced as they entered the city. The girl held the same wonderment that made Nia smile. After the girls were introduced, she made sure they were all occupied before leaving the embassy once more.
"Are we ready?" She asked Gaia as she entered the temple. The girl nodded but before they could move a voice sounded behind them.
"Ready for what?" Tate asked surprising them as Nia had no clue she was being followed by him. This made things difficult.
