《Skaikru ☣ Bellamy Blake [2]》Accepting

Nia was tired. She was tired from all the fighting she had done, not only against those ALIE had sent up but throughout her life. For her whole life, fighting was all she had ever done. It was their way of life. But she sat in wait for the next attack to come she took the time to think about her life.
Since the first attack, ALIE had sent in more groups but each one cut down like the last. After the third, ALIE saw to it to come in armed but that option was pointless and Nia continued to kill them. This option only allowed her access to weapons more weapons.
But it had been several minutes since the last attack and Nia watched the door carefully. Her father had taught her to be a strong warrior and time after time she had proved how strong she was. But now as the world seem to crumble around her, she wondered how much longer she could actually fight.
She had lost Alec. Then Lexa. Her girls were out there somewhere and the thought of it made her uneasy. She had wanted to leave the tower and find them but each time she had tried she would always have to retreat back.
She wondered what might've happened if her life was slightly different. If her father wasn't a true warrior as he was. If she had allowed Lexa to attack the 100 when they landed. Even if she shouldn't have left after the battle against the mountain. How would her life had been different? Would she still have gotten together with Bellamy? Would she even have a child?
She wanted nothing more than for her life to be different. For her not to rely solely on the sword in her hand. To not have the ghosts follow behind after every kill. But this was her life. She had to fight.
ALIE was getting more and more angered at Nia's fight against her. They were losing more lives sending people in to retrieve her. They had even tried to gas her only for her to move fast and throw the cans out the window. Nothing ALIE could do seem to stop Nia. The only way Nia would accept is if she gave up completely. It had taken ALIE a moment to think of an option for them just when the many attacks her came.
First was Clarke and the others trying to get Luna to take the Flame. Then it was Raven hacking into her system from Arkadia. And finally John Murphy leading Indra and Pike to her core.

But she was able to defeat each attack using those who had accepted the chip keeping their mission in place. If only one of them moved faster or ignored all the ALIE programs that prevented them from shutting her down then they would have their lives back.
With all attacks against her ceasing her focus went back to Nia. Even thought the others location was no longer imperative she still found an assest in Nia. She was a leader. With her by their side they could get even more to accept without hesitation. They just needed her to take the chip. They needed another approach. Looking around her ALIE was able to find a way to Nia.
"Nia." A voice called out to her as her hand went to her sword. She needed to be ready for an attack that might come at her.
But as the person stepped out it of the doorway Nia was able to see who it was. Marcus Kane. The sight of him made her stomach unsettling. He was suppose to be with the others in the cave away from Polis. What was he doing here?
"Nia." He spoke again taking a step forward.
"Stay there." Nia commanded drawing her sword. With people taking the chip she couldn't trust anyone around her.
"Okay. Okay." Marcus said cautiously holding his hands out to present no threat but it wasn't that easy.
"What do you want?" Nia asked her eyes flickering behind him, making sure no threat was coming up behind him.
"I need your help. We have to get out of here and back to the others." Kane tried to persuade her to trust him. "If we leave now we might reach them in time. They went for Luna to get her to accept the Flame. Fox and Jade went with them." He informed quickly told her but it seemed as his information was too much.
Luna, the natblida who had run from her conclave, but why would they go there? And how would they know how to find her? Unless Lincoln told them. But what seemed odd was how Kane mentioned the Flame.
She knew they would've taken the Flame from Lexa but how had it gotten in the others hands so quickly. It had only been a couple days since she had left the blockade and if Kane was in Polis then he had been away from them for the same amount of time. He should not be able to know their plans.
"How would you know this?" She asked curious to see how he would answer.

"They told me before I left to come here." He tried to explain the best he could without her seeing through the explanation. "I came to turn in Pike and they tried to get me to take the chip. I escaped and found out you were here."
"Pike came in days ago. They had wanted me to go visit him so that I could relive my pain. So that I could take the chip." Nia said getting a better grip on her sword.
It was true. A group that had come for her unarmed told her they would escort her to the dungeons. That she should look at the man who killed her long time friend. But when she refused they went to grab her she ended their lives.
After she had finished speaking a group of ten came entering the room from behind Kane. Among them were Jaha, Abby, and Ontari. The presence of more people caused Nia to straighten her stance as she thought this was another attempt to force her to take the chip.
"How long can you keep fighting?" Jaha asked still surprised at how long Nia had fought against them.
"As long as it takes." She answered truthfully ready for one of them to attack.
"What are you fighting for? You lost everything dear to you. Your friend, your sister, and your brother." Jaha informed simply.
The last phrase caused Nia to pause. Her heart dropped to the pit of her stomach. Her chest tightened as she tried to draw in breath. The room seem to spin around her as she tried to grasp the information of her new reality.
No. No. It couldn't be. They were lying. They were trying to get her to take the chip.
"Your lying." She breath out not wanting to believe them.
"I'm afraid not, Nia. I witness the whole thing." Kane was the one to speak to her. "I watched as Lincoln gave himself up for the others still there. How Pike had brought him outside and placed him on his knees. In the same spot as Alec. As he raised his gun and shot him like he did to Alec."
Hearing Kane tell her to details, her mind replayed the whole scene from Alec's death only this time his face was replaced with that of her brother. She couldn't bear the thought of Lincoln dying in the same way. But that was it, everything ounce of hope that she held of him coming back to her gone. Everything ripped away from her. She was alone.
A cry of rage, sadness, and despair left her mouth as she felt all the pain that was brewing inside her. She was alone with mere memories of those she loved. She never even got the chance to say good-bye.
The seven guards that had entered with the three had began to make their way forward. Their only intention was to bring her toward the others but that didn't matter at all.
As soon as the first one was close enough she swung her sword without a care. Left. Right. In every direction until none of them was left standing.
She was completely numb. Nothing seemed to matter to her in that moment. She had lost her family.
When she had finished her head was bowed as she stood in a circle of dead bodies. Blood splattered on her clothes and skin. Her sword painted red as the blood dripped from it.
Nia was tired. She was tired all the death that seemed to linger around her. Tired of feeling this pain in her chest at the loss of others. Tired of ghosts haunting her every moment of the day. Tired of fighting the demon that was bottled inside her. Tired of fighting.
Her sword fell the floor with a clatter as her grip loosened and the weapon slipped from her hold. Her knees felt like it would buckle at any moment but still she remained standing.
"I'll take it." She whispered so low that it barely registered to her. "I'll take the chip." She spoke louder this time before beginning to move from the bodies.
A part of her was yelling and screaming at her to resist and keep fighting but the other wanted nothing more than for the pain to be gone.
She stood in front of them ready to accept the fate that awaited her. A lone tear fell from her eyes as she battled with the emotions inside her.
Jaha held the chip to her mouth and waited for her to take it.
It took her a moment but Nia opened her mouth and allowed the chip in. She let out a sigh as she hoped that all the pain would be taken from her. That was all she wanted, for the pain to be gone. She didn't want to face the fact that her family was gone.
