Keeping his word, Kane had sent Nathan Miller to holding. The older man would attract too much attention whilst the younger one would have a lower profile.

Miller stalked alongside the cage and glanced at the two grounders. Lincoln and Alec had been exchanging hushed whispers about the girls since Alec had arrived. But now their attention turned to the newest guard watching them.

"Careful." Miller spoke to the guard closest to the door. "This one doesn't like to be chained up." He spoke more toward Lincoln. "Your girlfriend's not here to free you this time."

His comments had made both Grounders to tense and look rather menacing toward him. But not long after the guard who had been beside the door shifted off to the side. Unexpectedly, Miller pulled the small opening on the door and placed a medicine bottle on the ledge. He closed it quickly before looking up at them.

"It's from Abby. For Denae." He explained once he had seen them exchange confused looks.

Alec grabbed it quickly keeping it away from prying eyes while Lincoln questioned the boy. He felt it was the best time to see what had actually happened since Alec had been taken.

"Octavia? Nia?" He asked worried about the twos well-being.

"They got out with Clarke, Jade and Fox too." He informed calming both their nerves.

Both let out breaths of relief as they thought the worst might've happened to any of them. Now with them locked up they didn't have to worry about what would happen to them.

It had been tense and quiet inside the tent since Octavia and Clarke had left. Thoughts of their impending future crept into their minds and made them uneasy. Lexa hoped for the best outcome but with their years of knowledge it mostly likely won't be.

"I don't know if we can beat their guns. Not unless we use them ourselves." Indra pointed out hesitantly. She was after all speaking against almost a century of their ways.

Lexa was quiet not knowing how to respond back but before she could a guard announced that they had returned. They all waited anxious to hear how Skaikru had responded to the terms. Clarke entered but not alone, a moment later Nia and Jade followed behind.

The sight of her sister shocked Lexa. She hadn't expected to see her there. Since the guard informed her about the blue fabric wrapped around on of the gates, she had known that Nia and the others were safe. But what had changed on the inside that had caused Nia to make a fast escape.

Without word the two embraced quickly before parting. When they parted Jade quickly took Nia's spot and received a hug as well. Lexa did a quick onceover before turning toward Clarke. When she glanced around she noticed that Octavia wasn't present and Fox for that matter.

"Where's Octavia and Fox?" She questioned their whereabouts.

"Octavia's watching over camp." Clarke responded to one while Nia replied to the other.

"Fox is running the perimeter." She informed simply before making her way over to Indra. The healer looked over her wounds for herself and was grateful at the fact that her leader is alive.

"So, tell us, Clarke. How does this end? Have you come up with a way to save your people yet again?" Lexa address their current predicament.

"No." Clarke responded simply before continuing. The blonde responded with the only was she knew how to defuse a situation and that was to try and talk though it. "Only you can do that. What happened was an act of war. Your army was here to help us and my people slaughtered them. You have every right to respond. Every right to wipe us out. Or, you can change the way you do things."

"Why should she change?" Nia questioned the blonde trying to see why she was forcing Lexa's hand against their ways.

"Blood must have blood." Indra supported. Clarke was an outside who didn't fully understand their way and the reasons for it.

"Really? Because from where I stand, the only way that ends is with everyone dead. So, what kind of leader do you want to be? The kind who kills every chance she gets because that's your way, or the kind who shows the world a better way?" Clarke was trying to convince Lexa.

"You consider letting a massacre go unavenged, a better way?" Indra replied once more. She didn't understand how the lives of so many would be lost without care.

"If it ends this cycle of violence? Yes. If it brings about peace? Yes. Someone has to take the first step. Let it be you. You say you want peace. That everything you've done was to achieve that. Yet, here we stand, on the brink of another war. A war that you can stop." Clarke reasoned.

It was quiet as they waited for Lexa to respond and it made everyone anxious. If they wanted to establish peace but at what cost to them? It was one clan going against twelve both having their own differences in how they handle things.

"Commander, you can't seriously be considering this." Indra spoke out once Lexa had been silent for too long.

"I'm not considering this. I'm doing it." Lexa finalized looking to Nia hoping to see some understanding but the girl remained blank as she thought of the possibilities.

"Heda, please-" Indra tried to protest.

"Indra. Our people act as if war is easier than peace. If that's so, should we not try and achieve the more difficult goal?" She questioned her once mentor.

"Polis will not support you. Titus-" Indra continued to speak against it.

"Titus is my subject. They're all my subjects. Do you say that they will defy me? Will you defy me? Will Nia?" Lexa asked the leader about what motives the others might take. In order for her to achieve this goal she needs to have strong people backing her and what's more strong than the leader of her clan and her sister.

"No, Hede. I will not." Indra responded obediently.

"You know the answer." Nia replied once eyes settled on her.

Her words didn't provide much comfort to Lexa as it settled in her chest. But she was leader she couldn't question her now.

"Then let it be known. Blood must not have blood." She commanded throughout the tent.

Nia let out a breath as she made her way out of the tent. They would return to Polis immediately so that they representatives wouldn't be able to speak out against Lexa.

Seeing Nia stand not far off with no one beside her, Lexa took that moment to talk with her.

"Do you really support or are you saying that because we're sister?" She questioned wondering what the answer might actually be.

"I said it because you're my commander and my clan is with yours." Nia stated before pausing. Since the summit a part of her was afraid that Trikur would disown her and she would be branded a traitor of her clan. "After the mountain, I chose to defy you and help a clan that I hardly knew. But now that clan had turned it's back on us and I fear that the clans will no longer accept me."

Lexa sighed finally understanding what was Nia's fear was among them. She would do anything to ensure her sister's well-being but the laws they had were something else.

"I'm pregnant." Nia whispered out afraid of what Lexa's reaction may be.

The statement had caught the commander off guard as she stared out Nia looking for some hint of false. But as she looked her over she realized how true it was in fact.

"Then this baby will be of Trikru." Lexa supported easing Nia's nerves. "I am the commander of the blood and those who speak out against you will answer to me."

Nia shook her head knowing that it wouldn't be that simple for them. "You know it won't be easy. But when we get to Polis, I will swear my fealty to my clan and my commander."

Swearing yourself to something is a big deal to the clans. It only happens to the loyalist warriors and it proof to anyone that they are true. But this particular situation was tricky. Nia was Trikru but Bellamy was Skaikru and their baby would be half of both. If Nia were to swear then she would remain Trikru for her remaining life. She would not be able to did what she had after the battle of the mountain.

"Nia-" Lexa went to speak against it but Nia stopped her.

"I am Nia kom Trikru, daughter of Marc kom Trirku, one of the fiercest warriors who lived. I need to do this. I need to start being the warrior I was made to be." Nia explained set on her decision to swear.

Lexa didn't saying anything further supporting her decision to do this. It wasn't till she looked over to Fox and Jade that she spoke again.

"How are the girls training?" She wanted a change of topics.

"Good. Better." Nia responded looking them over as well. The way the girls have developed made her proud to have taught them. "If you've watched Fox you'd think she'd always been Trikru."

The two smiled at the comment. But it was Lexa who spoke about it.

"She could still be Trikru." She stated hinting to Nia about the law that wasn't often spoke of. "That is, if she's willing."

Nia looked over checking to see how serious Lexa was. The law stated that if a warrior were to train under another and wanted to willingly change clans they'd be allowed. The mentor would speak on behalf of the warrior and if the commander saw it they were accepted into the clan. But would Fox be willing to do this?

On their way toward Polis, Nia saw it as the best chance to ask her about it. They were riding horses toward the back with Jade riding with Nia.

"You have become a good warrior Fox and in time you will become a great one." Nia began to speak carefully.

"I had good teachers." Fox responded with a smile. All three of the Trikru warriors had taught her every aspect of her training.

"When we get to Polis, I will swear myself to my clan and my commander. This means that I will remain Trikru, that I will stand for no other clan." Nia informed the two of what was to come.

"What would this mean for me?" Fox spoke about her Skaikru status.

"There is a law that isn't use often but if a warrior trains under another, of another clan, and wishes to switch clans they may ask the commander to switch. If the commander grants it they may be accepted into that clan." Nia explained it to the girl.

Fox was silent as she thought over the words. She had been training with Nia and the others since they had landed and she had become more skilled. A part of her wanted to be accepted into Trikru but another told her that she would remain Skaikru.

"Lexa is willing if you are." Nia added it after a minute of Fox's pondering. "It's no pressure. Whatever decision you make I will support."

Fox looked over to Nia and Jade and saw they both look at her with comforting gazes. As she looked at them, it became clear to her. She wanted to be with them no matter what and if the only way to ensure that was to switch clans, she'd do it.

That night after it was explained that blood would not have blood, they addressed Nia and Fox. Nia proclaimed herself to Trikru and Lexa. Now on her right forearm held the markings on her clan, a healer, and the sacred symbol. Lexa accepted Fox into Trikru and the young girl had gotten the clan symbol on her shoulder.
