《Skaikru ☣ Bellamy Blake [2]》Decisions, Decisions

Later that night, the group began to make their way toward the main gates. Every single one of them armed and on a mission.
They were stopped short when they noticed a couple of people blocking the gate in front of them. Monroe and Harper stood on the opposite sides of Lincoln and Alec. Both men had a menacing look and seemed ready for a fight. Bellamy wondered how exactly they knew about what they were planning to do. But regardless Bellamy walked forward causing the others to meet him in the middle.
"You need to step aside, right now." He instructed glancing at them all.
"What are the guns for?" Harper was the one that questioned seeing how the males were all staring each other down.
"There's an army out there. We need to hit them before they hit us." Bellamy explained briefly hoping they'd step aside.
"That army was sent to protect us." Lincoln protested.
"Do we have a problem?" A guy from behind stepped up.
"No." Bellamy answered back quickly before speaking to the opposes in front of them. "I've always done what is best for us. I need you to trust that I am doing that now."
With his statement the two girls turned and left Lincoln and Alec alone. The only two forces that stood between them and their mission.
"You, too, Lincoln. Alec." Pike spoke up from behind. "You wanna prove you're one of us, let us pass." He tried to persuade the two.
"We're not moving." Lincoln spoke for the two while Alec took a firmer stance.
But that wasn't the answer that they liked as two raised their guns to them. "Get outta the way, Grounders." The guy who hit Lincoln hissed while the one who hit Nia took a step forward.
With quick movements the two warriors grabbed the guns and pulled them forward. Lincoln pulled his guy into a chokehold with a knife to his throat. While Alec knocked the other guy out. Alec wanted to do so much more to the man who hurt Nia but now wasn't the time for that.
"Guns down. Guns down." Pike ordered once the others.
"So much for good grounders." Hannah commented from her spot glancing at the two.
"Quiet, Hannah." Pike told her not wanting the situation to escalate further. "Whose people are you defending here, Lincoln? Huh? Who are you doing this for Alec?"
"Lincoln put the knife down. No one has to get hurt here." Bellamy tried to deescalate the situation.
"I can't let you start a war." Lincoln reasoned.
"We're already at war. You can't stop this." Pike countered.
Suddenly the PA system sounded calling all the guards to the gate. That's when Pike knew he was out of time to get them out. With most of them glancing around Alec thought that'd be the time for him to speak to Bellamy.
"Why are you doing this? Do you know that Nia and the girls are in that camp?" Alec rattled out much to Bellamy's surprise.
"No they're not." Bellamy responded back not believing what he was saying. As he thought of it he thought that it was Alec simply trying to get into his head. He was trying to change his decision. He was trying to use them against him.

They didn't say anything as Octavia had emerged and stood between the two. She looked at her brother in disbelief as she assessed the situation. "What is wrong with you?" She asked staring at him.
The question was a blow to Bellamy as he thought of destroying the image of himself in her eyes. He felt a part of him slip away in that moment.
Kane and the guards had entered through the crowd. They were getting the situation under control when Pike decided to speak up. He began to speak hoping it would change the people opinions. People had begun to chant Pike's name but before anyone could get any further, the gates began to open.
Everyone seemed to hold their breath as they watched the horses enter.
Nia was completely shocked by the site. The guards were securing people while guns laid on the ground. She glanced around hoping for an explanation of what she was seeing but none was provided.
Lincoln looked at her with guilt while Alec sighed. He wanted this situation to be out of sight when she arrived but that didn't seemed to be the plan. The only one who wouldn't meet her eyes was Bellamy. He glanced out at nothing.
"What is going on?" She questioned aloud once they were off the horses. But still no one said a word.
"We have everything under control." Kane decided to be the one to ease her nerves but the answered did nothing.
"And what would you have under control?" She asked again but nothing but silence. With no one answering she looked to Bellamy. "Bellamy?" She spoke softly.
Without hesitation he turned to look at her but only the moment when he saw her that he regretted his decision. Her eyes filled with so much emotion it hurt him to look at her. They were filled with hurt, sadness, pain, anger, and disbelief. His eyes shifted to Jade and it only pained him further. She actually looked afraid. Her eyes settled on him as she stepped closer to Nia.
He looked back forward. The sights of the two most closest to him burned in his memory. But what his mind kept telling him was that he was doing it for their benefit.
It was quiet while the guards went to take their prisoners inside. Kane and Abby followed shortly while Nia was still trying to piece the situation together.
"What happened?" She demanded as she stepped toward Lincoln and Alec. But neither one answered her. They thought it'd be better if she didn't know about the events that had just occurred.
Their silent answer was driving Nia insane. Since the mount weather incident, she didn't want to be left in the dark. With the information she had received from Indra and now this it wasn't good for her to stress.
"Indra told me that Lexa accepted Syra's challenge. She faces Roan tomorrow and if you both won't tell me what happened I will go find someone who will." She finalized and left them alone.
Once they entered the Ark, Nia sent the girls straight to the room. She didn't need them following her around and would rather have them in one place.

With them gone she set out to find Kane. If anyone would talk with her it'd be him. His main focus had always been finding peace and would do anything to achieve it.
When she located him, he seemed to already be waiting for her. At her appearance he placed a hand on her back and began to lead her to a room. Inside sat a desk and a chair with nothing much around, that is where he left her.
He entered a few minutes later but not alone. Bellamy entered and sighed when he saw who was standing inside. Nia had an expressionless face with her arms crossed staring at them both.
"You only have a couple minutes." Kane informed and left the room. It was silent as neither one knew what to say.
"What is going on?" She tried to ask hoping to get some answers from him. "No one can seem to tell me what you were doing or why you were out there."
"Why were you out there? Why did you take the girls?" Bellamy asked back avoiding the situation for as long as possible.
"I needed to know about the army. If you've forgotten, I'm the mediator between Skairku and the rest of the clans. But no one can seem to tell me what happened." Nia responded back but still he offered no answer to the current event. "I don't know what happened and if no one will tell, I'm assuming it's bad. So instead I'm going to ask you what you were think?"
Again Bellamy was quiet but only for a moment.
"I was doing it to protect you and Jade." He offered simply but it only fueled Nia more.
"Protect us, from what? Our people? They would never make a move that would put us in a spot of danger because they know what Lexa would do. Take the delegate from the summit. He put a knife to my throat and he never made it to the cells." She informed him.
He kept his head like a scorned child but really it was so he couldn't see the disappointment in her eyes. Seeing what his actions did to Jade and Nia made him lose more of himself than when he looked at Octavia.
Nia sighed at the whole predicament they were in. What could she do now?She couldn't go outside the gates because she didn't know what had happened and it made no sense for them to get rallied over nothing. Besides if something were to happen again it might be best if she say here to stop it.
"Lexa is trying to fix this. I'm telling you to leave it to her. Trust me please." She begged him but the mention of Lexa got to him more than the plead.
There she was again. Lexa. The one who had betrayed them. Who left them. The one who made them kill 300 people. The very people that haunt his memories. Nia was standing there in front of him telling him to trust someone who abandoned them. The notion made him angry. She shouldn't be trusting Lexa, she should be trusting him.
And in that moment it was like something clicked. She was one of them no matter how much he tried to deny. She was guilt like the rest and he was fool not to see it before. She would deceive them like they all do.
The sound of the door opening caught their attention. Kane entered and sent them wondering looks. Nia sighed again knowing she had done the best she could. But at least with Bellamy in lock up, she knew he couldn't do anything there.
So, she nodded her head left the room. She could only hope that something she said would stay in his mind. That night she paced the floor and dreaded the thought of the next day.
Bellamy sat and pondered all of what Nia had said. When he entered holding again, Pike had tried to question him but he offered no explanation. Instead he sat in the corner and lost himself.
When morning came and Kane entered all went to Pike. He stepped in front of Pike and spoke.
"Congratulations, Mr. Chancellor." She said making everyone glance at one another glad at the outcome.
"Where's Abby?" Pike questioned the previous chancellor's whereabouts.
"Wishes she could be here." Kane stated before handing over the chancellor pin. "The vote wasn't close. Our people are now your responsibility, Charles. I hope you take that seriously."
"Thank you, Marcus. I certainly intent to." Pike responded pinning the pin he was given to his shirt. "For my first official action as chancellor, I pardon myself and the others. For my second official action, I reject the brand that made us the 13th clan. For my third, let's finish what we started."
When he finished everyone walked out without a problem. They had a mission to complete and now nothing stood in their way. When Bellamy moved to walk out Marcus shifted in front of him making him stop.
"It's not too late to choose the right side. For them." Kane spoke to him hoping to change his mind. But when he looked into his eyes, he realized that he was set and even if he hurt those closest to him, it wouldn't matter.
As if confirming his thoughts, Bellamy only gave Kane a simple answer. "I already have."
Kane stood there was watched helplessly at the disaster that would come.
Bellamy walked along without emotions as everything swirled in his mind. The look in the girls eyes. The conversation he had with Nia. The realization of it all. But more importantly the mistrust she had in Lexa.
He would do this mission with Pike. Not for himself or even his people. He would do it for Nia and Jade to show them that he would protect them no matter what.

Home of Laplace
I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar mountain peak standing tall above me like seeing a skyscraper from the street. Soon the chilling burn of the snow that covered me began to invade my senses and I flung my torso upward, sitting up straight. I grabbed my head in confusion as my eyes surveyed the area around me: The corner of a mountain wall stood menacingly in front of me accompanied by thin, dangerous looking paths on either side. The likes of which only adrenaline-seeking psychopaths would use. I turned my head backwards and felt my heart drop as what looked like an infinitely long freefall met my gaze. I was sitting on the ledge of a snow-covered mountain. "CRKKKK" A heart-shaking croaking sounded from above me further up the mountain and I jolted backwards at the impossibly loud sound. 'Shit, wasn't there nothing behind me?' The sound of cracking stone accompanied the heart dropping sensation of descension. As I plunged down backwards, the last thing I saw was the deep-set brown eyes of that blue-skinned monstrosity further up the mountain. ----------------------------------------------------- Levi Laplace is a former genius biochemistry student that died a simple and laughable death on earth.
