《Skaikru ☣ Bellamy Blake [2]》Mount Weather

When Nia rode into the gates she knew something was wrong. Normally, when she returned from Polis or even a venture out, Jade and Bellamy would be there waiting for her. But this time it was Alec and Fox who approached her. The looks on their faces didn't give her much comfort.
"What's going on?" Nia asked dreading the answer that would come with it.
Fox decided to be the one to speak. "Nia, Bellamy was hurt, he's in medical-"
But the girl didn't get to finish explaining as Nia had already taken off toward Medical. When she arrived she spotted Bellamy in a bed in the far corner. Jade sat by his bedside with her head resting on her arms.
Nia stepped into the room and made her way over. Hearing her footsteps Bellamy's eyes opened and settled on her. Once by his side she glanced him over and noticed the bandage wrapped around his thigh.
"It's not as bad as it looks." Bellamy comforted once he saw the look on her face.
"What happened?" Nia asked needing an explaintion at the turn of events.
Bellamy explained what had happened when she left and the look on her face suggested she didn't approve.
"Bellamy, what if Azgeda had caught you? A stab wound is the best outcome." Nia spoke in a soft voice not wanting to wake the girl.
"I lost her. I lost Clarke." Bellamy expressed out.
She went to answer him but before she could, Abby and Kane entered the room followed by Alec and Fox. At least now she could answer them without having to repeat herself. Gently, she woke the girl from her slumber and sent her off to the room with Fox helping her along.
With them gone she turned to the remaining people. She let out a sigh not knowing how to approach this situation.
"Clarke's safe." She let out simply hoping it might comfort them a little.
"Clarke, how?" Abby questioned wanting to know how Nia knew this information. Kane and Bellamy looked at her questionably as well.
"The bounty hunter that took Clarke was assigned by Lexa. She's in Polis under the protection of the commander." Nia provided further detail.
"We have to bring her back." Abby expressed mostly toward Kane. She wanted to send out a team to bring her daughter home.

"Abby, she can't." Nia spoke again interrupting further plans. "In Polis, she's safe. No one would dare make an attack against the capital, against Lexa. If we bring her back they wouldn't hesitate for a second to attack Arkadia."
No one said a word as they thought over the possibilities. Nia had done nothing but help them, they should take her word for it. But Clarke was a part of their people, she should be with them.
Nia could see the lingering doubt in their eyes and if she didn't intervene now then they would pull Clarke from safety.
"The commander wants to call a summit. Skaikru would be invited. You could establish a better truce. One that would open up trade routes and get the kill order off Lincoln."
The more she reasoned, the more they were beginning to see a way for them to survive. Nia wouldn't have to run interference for them and they'd be able to communicate with other clans.
"But Clarke-" Abby was still trying to fight for her daughter.
"She'd be able to return but not till the summit is called." Nia comforted.
Abby and Kane shared a look and knew it was the best chance for them. They agreed to go to the summit but Abby needed to disclose something to the girl.
After she had asked Lincoln about Mount Weather he had pointed out that the notion could cause a war. But when Nyko was injured and could only be helped by the mountain it got her thinking. With the mountain theirs they could help more of the grounders but would Nia and Lexa accept the notion.
"Nia, when you were gone an incident had occurred. Nyko had been attacked by the Ice nation." Abby began to explain wondering how she would take the news. "There was nothing I could do for him here but Mount Weather had everything we needed."
She girl froze as she thought of what they had done. It had been hard enough for her to argue that they scavenge from the mountain but this would be another thing all together.
"I want to purpose that we open Mount Weather in a medical center. It would help you guys more than we could here." Abby reasoned.
"Do you realize what that mountain represents?" Nia questioned as she looked over their expressions. "Death. It represents Death. It's the reason why Clarke is named a she is."

They all remained quiet as they thought about what she had said. If she's reacting this way then how would Lexa react?
"I have to get back to Polis." Nia announced when she realized the predicament they would be in.
"Why now, you just got back." Bellamy asked. She had just got back and now she would be leaving again.
"If I don't tell her about this myself then it would send the wrong message. This could jeopardize everything we have put in place. She needs to hear from me before she heard it from someone else." Nia explained.
"He's right, Nia. You left on a scouting mission only to head to Polis and come back. You need rest." Alec hoped he could reason. Nia had a very tiring couple of days and the last thing they needed was for her to come under attack and not defend herself.
"I need to go now." Nia stuck with her decision. The seriousness in her eyes told them that there was nothing they could do to change her mind.
"Then I'm coming with you." Alec input. It would be best if he were to accompany her in case something went wrong.
Nia simply nodded her head wanting to get to Polis quickly. She figured it might be better for someone to accompy her then for them to argue over it.
"We leave now." Nia finalized before walking out of medical and to her horse. Alec would ride the horse that she had taken before so they would be able to return it to the owner.
It had been a stressful ride to Polis but an even stressful conversation with Lexa. The commander didn't like the idea in the slightest but decided it would be best if they could continue the conversation at the summit. Nia agreed with it, then at least Abby would explain her standpoint. But what none of them could have anticipated was that the chancellor had moved Farm station into Mount Weather.
After given Lexa the knowledge of Skaikru intention of opening the medical wing, the two began to make their journey back. Once they made it back she headed to Bellamy's room. She figured that he would want to discuss why she had kept secrets from him and she couldn't be more right when she noticed him sitting on the bed. What she didn't predict however was Jade sleeping on the bed.
The girl was sleeping closest to the wall with the book that Bellamy had given her clutched to her chest. Nia had known that the two developed a bond and even slept beside the couple on restless nights but she didn't think tonight would be one of those nights.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Bellamy questioned in a quiet tone so not to wake the girl.
"She left Bellamy. She needed the time to herself. I didn't think the bounty would be established so soon." Nia explained in the same quiet manner.
"Don't you think I had a right to know at least?" Bellamy asked.
"Tell me this, if I had told you where she was would or would you not have gone to get her?" Nia retorted back.
Her question made him quiet as they both knew the answer. If Nia had told him about Clarke he would have taken a team to retrieve her.
"If you went to get her she would be in a darker place then she is now. We all handle our demons in different ways, Clarke needed to deal with hers. It was what was best for her." Nia reasoned back. "Clarke would've returned once she was able to look at all of you without seeing ghosts."
Bellamy stayed quiet knowing she was right again. Clarke had even told him when she had left but he still felt like she needed to be there with them.
Nia sighed and stepped forward. She stepped between his legs as Bellamy's hands went to her waist. She ran her fingers through his hair as they took in each other.
The last three months had been bliss among the two but that didn't mean that Nia didn't notice the stares they got. Girls looked at Bellamy with interest while shooting her a glare. But as she took in the moment she couldn't help but forget about everything around her.
That night they slept peacefully not knowing the events that would occur.

Fragments from the Wildlands
“Your first death is always the hardest.” Miguela was the third-born child of a well-off merchant family and knew from around the time she could speak that her life’s path was already decided. She was to become an Orator, as was Xandran tradition. However, Miguela had an affinity with the magikal arts and somehow found herself studying at the Academy. She did just enough to keep up with her studies but never found the motivation to apply herself and “reach her potential,” as her instructors often said. It was not that Miguela was uninterested in the arts. Rather, she knew her time at the Academy ultimately did not matter. Whenever Miguela returned home, she would become an Orator, and that would be that. Or so she believed until, one day, an opportunity appeared that would change her life. Miguela was offered the chance to join a research team tasked with a mission of the utmost importance to the future of the Five Kingdoms. She could not turn down the prospect of regaining control of her life and finally finding a purpose for herself. Of course, Miguela might soon discover that offers that appear too good to be true are usually fraught with lies. Welcome to Five Kingdoms of Cordizal! Question: What is the Five Kingdoms of Cordizal? I often get asked this type of question about my stories by friends, bloggers, and potential readers. The Five Kingdoms of Cordizal is a high-fantasy epic universe that is the setting for most of my stories. The foundation of the universe is its multicultural, multiracial setting with several sentient races attempting to carve their legacy and survive. The world is fully fleshed out and vibrant with a rich and mysterious history not based on Tolkien mythology. This brings me to magic. To me, magic is an essential part of the fantasy genre, so, of course, there is magic in the Five Kingdoms universe. However, one critical part of the Five Kingdoms universe is that magic is an abundant commodity that is a part of everyday life and not some plot device used to drive the story. In short, the Five Kingdoms universe is the setting of epic fantasy stories with deep characters and world-building. I try to tell as many different types of stories as possible in the universe, and hopefully, you can find something for you in it.

8 93Broken (Peeta Mellark Fanfiction)
Peeta Mellark has survived the Hunger Games, he escaped the Quarter Quell, then he was rescued from the torturous hands of the Capitol. His memory has been tampered with, so everything he sees could be either real or fake. Instead of a smooth recovery, he is thrown right into war. What would become of him in the end? Broken. (Taking place a little over halfway through the Mockingjay book and after the movie Mockingjay Part 1) This is a somewhat sequel to the other story I wrote called Hijacked, but I think you could read this without reading the other one. This story and these characters are owned by Suzanne Collins, not me (obvi)
