《Skaikru ☣ Bellamy Blake [2]》Not Too Late

Nia hated it. She hated the distance between her and Bellamy. It was like they were scared to actually feel for the other. The night sky didn't comfort Nia anymore either. Now it seemed to just be a reminder of the kiss they shared that night.
The more time passed by the more Nia got more frustrated. This wasn't suppose to happen to them. Nia blamed the many tasks she was doing but she knew that wasn't true.
So when Abby had assembled a team to find a way of transporting bigger tasks she saw an opportunity. Her and Bellamy would be on the team along with Raven, Monty, Octavia and a few others. Even with the others going she knew she would be able to speak with him.
But the morning of she set out to locate him to talk with him. She found him in the mess hall and he wasn't alone. A brunette spoke with him. Nia's stomach dropped when she saw him smile at something she said. Maybe she was too late. Maybe he was moving on.
She wanted to move, to not watch them become closer but it was like she was frozen. Forced to watch him turn his back on her. Forced to see him move on while she was left in despair.
Raven was the one who pulled her out of her daze. Together the two entered the mess hall and toward the couple. Each step felt like a punch to Nia's gut.
"Bellamy, you ready to go?" Raven was the one to speak as Nia choose to look elsewhere.
Bellamy's gaze kept shifting to her as he wondered why she was acting so weird but didn't question with the others presence.
"I should be asking you?" He said trying to keep his mind off the girl beside Raven but not doing so well.
"Hi." The brunette greeted hoping to get Nia's attention. She hadn't met them as they manly choose to stick to themselves. "I'm Gina."
Nia's attention went to her as she realized she was speaking with her. The two beside them looked at them uncertainly wondering how she might react. But surprising them all she greeted her back.
"Nia." She spoke her name. It was silent as no one knew what to say next. Luckily, Jade had called for Nia from the door that would lead them to the outside.
She gave them one last look which lingered on Bellamy for a moment before she made her way over to the girl. They spoke quietly among themselves as the three watched from afar for a moment.
Raven and Gina began to speak with each other not paying attention to Bellamy, whose gaze was focused on Nia. He knew Jade wanted to come along but Nia hadn't allowed it. She wanted the girl's training to get better before she would let her venture off. Not long after they were called to the front gate.
Octavia stood ready at the gate excited to be leaving for awhile. Monty and Nathan Miller stood side by side waiting for them to arrive. According to Bellamy, Nathan was a good soldier they should have with them. Nia had already gotten Abby and Marcus to agree to their rules of engagement, seeing how they would be carrying weapons.

With them all there they set out to scavenge. Bellamy and Octavia agreed to head to the garage they had found Lincoln in, in hopes of finding something for transport.
The whole way to the garage Bellamy had tried to walk beside Nia but whenever he got close she would walk off. He wanted to speak with her but she wasn't giving him a chance.
Soon they reached the entrance door and pried it open. They entered until only Nia remained. She hesitated outside the door unsure of her movement.
The garage was too close to the Mountain for her liking. Not to mention the last time the Blakes entered they had found her brother a Reaper. She did not like the feeling of it.
"You okay?" Bellamy asked her when he saw her still in her position. She nodded her head after a moment before she took a breath an entered.
Bellamy being the person in charge of them all sent them off in twos. They were to look for anything that might help.
Nia went to pair off with Octavia or Raven when Bellamy halted her movements. He sent Monty and Miller in one direction and Octavia and Raven in another. That left Nia with Bellamy.
They walked around the corridors with the only light coming from Bellamy's flashlight. Nia's bow ready for anything that might come out of the shadows.
A sound came from behind them causing Nia to aim her bow at the darkness. The concrete walls had caused the sound to echo throughout the area. One of the other groups had been the cause of it.
"Jumpy?" Bellamy questioned after she lowered her bow.
"You had found Lincoln in this place. My own brother turned Reaper. I just want to be ready for anything else that may come out." Nia reasoned hoping he might understand.
"The Reapers are gone, Nia. You don't have to worry about them." Bellamy provided some comfort.
"There are other monsters in this world Bellamy but the scariest ones are the ones inside us." Nia countered as she walked along the cars taking in each one.
Bellamy was silent for a moment as he watched her walk away. Her words had struck something him. He wanted to question her about it but a shout sounded grabbing their attention. Quickly, they made their way to the others.
Raven was under the hood of a rather large car with Octavia looking over her shoulder. They both had grins on their faces as the others approached them.
"Bell, check it out." Octavia said excitingly as Raven made her way into the drivers seat.
The engine sputtered for a minute before the engine roared to life. Monty and Nathan cheered while Bellamy and Octavia smiled. Raven laughed from the front seat as she looked out at the others.
The only one quiet was Nia. She had horses her whole life so seeing a contraction like that was surprising.
"We should get back to Camp Jaha." Bellamy announced after a moment of their cheers. "Raven, you think you can drive this?"
"Of course." Raven spoke with confidence as the others made their way around the back to get in.

Nia followed behind but made no move to get in. She was use to her horse and felt regretful that she had left it back at camp. But in order to build a pin big enough they needed the horse there.
"It's okay." Bellamy said softly offering her a hand. The others were loading their stuff before entering themselves.
Cautiously, Nia took ahold of his hand and went to get in as well. Bellamy placed a hand on her waist and hoisted her up into the high vehicle. Nia flushed at the contact but stayed silent and sat beside the door. Once he got in, Bellamy took the seat across from her with Monty and Miller beside them and Octavia in the front seat.
Nia held her breath as Raven got the car moving. They drove around for a few minutes before finding the exit. The boys had to get out to push the rather large door open and to the outside. But once it was open they made their way back toward camp. Nia pointed out the road that the carts would take instead of having them go across the forest.
In a short time the had begun to approach the gates. The guards opened it quickly before getting out of the way. People began to gather around wanting to take a look at their find.
They piled out and Bellamy helped her down but this time his hands didn't leave her waist immediately. Their faces close to one another as they looked into each other's eyes. But before anything could happen a person interrupted.
"Looks like you had a good run." Gina's voice broke the two apart both taking step back from each other.
Nia sent her a forced smile before walking away and into the ark. A feeling in the pit of her stomach made her cringe as she thought of how comfortable the two looked around one another. She couldn't just sit back and watch as Bellamy slipped through her fingers and into her arms.
Later that night she decided she would be the finally speak up. So with everyone seemingly in their rooms she made her way to Bellamy's room. The nerves building up inside her but she needed to do this.
When she reached the door she let out a breath before knocking. It was a moment before Bellamy opened the door. His was surprised to see her standing there and stayed silent.
"Nia, what are you doing here?" He asked curious about her presence.
"May I come in?" She questioned not wanting to tell him in the middle of a hallway where anyone could hear.
Without saying a word he opened the door wider allowing her access. She made her way inside and glanced around. It was a slightly bigger room than her own with a bed that lined the wall. A desk stood opposite of the bed with a few papers scattered across. She glanced over the papers most not important but one caught her attention.
She pulled it from the pile and glanced at it. It was the picture of her that Lincoln had drew inside his journal. But why did he have it?
"I meant to give that back." Bellamy told her when he realized what she had been looking at. "I remembered the times I saw you but they always felt like a dream. And when I saw the picture in the journal I knew it was real. I took it to remind me that you were out there somewhere and maybe, just maybe I'd get a chance to see you again."
His confession made Nia go silent. She had no words to say. It was silent for a few moments before Nia spoke to him.
"When we first start training we are told one thing; Love is weakness. It makes us vulnerable and will get us killed. But I think it makes us strong. When I look at you, I don't feel weak. I can't describe how I feel towards you because it's too much." Nia let out as she looked to him. They stared at each other taking in what they had both said.
Bellamy took a step to her but stopped when she held out her hand. She went to say more and he stood there and listened to everything she said.
"She's pretty you know. She understands the life you lived. And she's part of your people. She has a pure soul that has not seen violence and she is good for you." Nia said as each word laid heavy on her heart. She didn't want to do it but she knew she needed to. "You should be with someone like Gina. Someone good to always be there for you. Someone who doesn't have demons to fight."
Not one of them said a word as Nia finished speaking. Her words hung in the air. What she had said shocked Bellamy. He did not expect for her to say that. The more he looked at her the more he knew his decision.
"She is pretty. She is nice. She's friendly and smart. And yes she hasn't seen the violence that is out there. She's a good person."
Each word he said felt like a pull to her heart. He was going to choose her wasn't he. He was going to be happy with someone else.
"But she isn't you." He confessed out.
Nia's head snapped up to look at him only to noticed how close he had gotten to her. Her breath hitched as he leant forward only to graze her lips with his own. His hands wrapping around her. His fingers drawings circles that burned into her skin.
Not wanting to wait any longer she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulling him down to her. Their lips crashed together as they sighed in bliss. There they stayed in their own moment without no one to disturb them.
