《The Recycled Alpha (Book 1) ✔》Chapter 29

Ryan's P.O.V
I shifted, throwing on the shirt a nurse handed me.
I was back in The HellHounds packlands, running to my mate.
The same mate I was losing.
I followed the pull, slamming open and door and meeting the face of my mate.
Colton coughed up more blood as his eyes met mine.
I rushed over, taking his hand into mine.
"C'mon Colton, you have to stay with me. Please don't leave me.", I said.
Colton opened his mouth to say something but instead coughed up more blood.
A hand landed.on my shoulder and I looked over to see Selene.
"You said that if I got up he would live!", I cried.
"The fates have changed Ryan. They are constantly changing.", Selene whispered.
"Well fuck the fucking fates okay?! Fuck them!", I yelled.
"I'm so sorry Ryan. But this is not the last time you will see him. He will always be with you to guide you and you will see him one day.", she said strongly.
I looked back at my mate as he stared at me before looking last me.
"Hey Colton.", Selene said.
"Hey Moon Goddess.", he whispered.
"Selene, please don't take him. I just got him, I can't lose home again. Please don't take him from me!", I begged.
Selene looked at me, tears in her eyes as they fell from my own eyes.
"I'm sorry Ryan, but if I don't follow fate right now, it'll take him later from you in a much more brutal way. I'll give you some time with him though.", Selene said.
She disappeared as I squeezed Colton's hand.
"I love you so much Colton. I know you've only said like 8 words to me in total, but I'm utterly in love with you.
I'm so sorry I wasn't able to protect you. It's all my fault.", I said, kissing his hand as a tear fell onto it.
"It is not your fault Ryan. Even though you only knew me for a day, you still treated me like a King. I love you too, and just remember, you'll see me again.", Colton said through our matebond.
His breathing grew shallow.
Colton inhaled deeply before slowly exhaling, his eyes closing as he took his last breath.
Selene touched his head, giving me a soft kiss on the cheek before disappearing.
I howled my sadness and sorrow, my misery and grief.
The pack howled with me as they felt the small bond they shared with their Luna disappear.
I laid a kiss on Colton's forehead before walking out.
I looked at Dominic, knowing my eyes were bloodshot and I looked like shit.

"Take me to Micheal. Bring his chosen mate with us also.", I ordered, my voice barely reaching a whisper.
Dominic knew not to question me.
Grayson led me to the cell that held Michael while Dominic took a detour to get the mate.
Grayson entered a key code and the door slid open, revealing Micheal strapped in silver chains down to a silver chair.
I stepped in, turning to Grayson.
"In the storage room down the hall, there is a bag. Bring me that bag.", I said.
Grayson nodded, closing the door and walking off.
I stayed in the shadows and walked around, making no sound.
"It is now 2AM in the morning Micheal. Do you want to know something?", I asked.
There was no reply except for Micheal's heavy breathing.
"My mate passed away at 1:30AM this morning. 30 minutes ago, I was deemed mateless. All because of you."
The door opened and Grayson walked in, setting the bag on the table.
Dominic followed, shoving Michael's pregnant chosen mate into the room.
The door closed behind them as Dominic stood in a corner.
"Lay out the items onto the table Grayson. Then I want you to leave. Dominic can stay, I'm going to need his help.", I ordered.
The only sound was the female's whimpers, Michael's heavy breathing, and the clanging of the items that Grayson was laying out.
The female had crawled to Micheal and she had her head in his lap, sobbing. My eyes burned into the mark on her neck and I knew what I was going to do.
I felt Grayson's presence leave the room and the door clicked shut.
"So your Micheal's chosen mate. What's your name?", I questioned.
"A-alia.", she whispered.
I smiled.
Alia. What a pretty name.
I walked right in front of Micheal, which was behind Alia.
I grabbed her by her hair, yanking her from the ground.
"I remember you.", I said.
"Kill her!", Blake snarled in my head.
"You're the one who my father cheated on my mother with."
She whimpered as I tugged on her hair harder.
"Beta Dominic, give me a knife.", I commanded.
I held out my free hand and the hilt of a silver knife was placed in it.
I tugged Alia's head to the left, exposing the mark on the right side of her neck.
I grinned at Micheal as I brought the knife up to her mark.
"Please, no Ryan! I'm sorry!", Micheal cried.
"Sorry doesn't cut it!", I snarled.
Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath before opening them.
I dug the knife into the top of her mark, slowly dragging the knife down.

The skin fell off, taking the mark imprint with it.
Alia was screaming in pain while Micheal was a sobbing mess in the chair.
"What should I do next? Do I cut out the baby or do I kill Alia?", I said, tapping the bloody knife on my chin.
"You know what? I think I'll just kill her.", I said, plunging the knife into Alia's chest.
I let her fall as she slowly bled out like my mate did.
"Isn't it ironic? This is exactly how my mate died. Bleeding out slowly with a knife sticking out of his chest.", I said with a smile.
"YOU BITCH! I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU! YOU STUPID WHORE!", Micheal screamed at me at the top of his lungs.
He started sobbing as his mate took her last breath.
I looked down at her stomach. "Poor baby was just an innocent life that was lost just because she had such shitty parents."
"S-she?", Micheal questioned.
"Yes, another girl. Not a boy that you wanted to take over the throne.
You didn't want me to take over the throne but once you attempted to kill my mother in a fit of rage, you had no choice but let me have it.
Especially after you killed my little sister.", I growled.
Micheal just resorted back to crying and I stared at him.
"Shift.", I commanded.
Micheal's wolf wasn't able to disobey the Alpha Command stronger than his.
He now sat in wolf form, the chains tighter around his paws.
"Shackle his neck please.", I said to Dominic.
Dominic put the collar around his neck, the smell of burning fur and skin filling up the room.
The collar was chained to the floor, keeping his head in place.
I picked up a hunting knife that had teeth on the back of it.
Twirling it, I walked to the back of Micheal and stared at his tail.
I gripped his tail tightly, pulling it taunt.
Putting the teeth of the blade against the base of Micheal's tail, I started sawing away.
His howls and yelps of pain was like music to my ears as I cut off his tail.
Once I was finished, I tossed the fluffy tail to the side, wiping the blood off of my face.
"Shift.", I commanded.
Micheal shifted back to his human form as he cried and begged for me to stop.
"Now, you're going to die like my mate did and like your mate did.", I whispered in his ear before plunging the hunting knife into his chest.
I watched him slowly die, my wolf taking partial control to also watch.
My bloodlust stopped swirling as the light leaked away from Micheal's eyes and I felt better.
"Burn his body with hers.", I ordered before grabbing a towel that hung on the wall and walking out, wiping the blood off of me.
Selene appeared beside me, walking at my same pace.
"Do you feel better?", she asked.
"I feel a lot better.", I said to her.
Selene nodded. "I know that it is early, but, if you were ever given the chance to later on in life, say 10 years from now, would you want another mate?"
Anger grew in me at her question but I shoved it down. She said later on in life, not right now.
"What do you think Blake?", I asked.
"No.", Blake replied.
I shook my head. "Thank you Selene for the offer, but my wolf and I both say no. Now I have a mate to mourn and a funeral to plan, if you'll excuse me."
Selene gave me a nod and disappeared.
I stopped walking and leaned against the wall.
Sliding down it, I sat down on the cold floor and cried.
My knees were pulled up to my chest and my forearms were resting on my knees.
My head rested on my arms as I cried, the tears falling onto my pants.
A hand landed on my shoulder and a small part of me wished it was Colton, but it wasn't.
I looked up to see my mom and Grayson looking at me.
My mom sat on the ground next to me on one side while Grayson sat on the other, both of them wrapping an arm around me.
"I know it hurts baby girl, but you gotta be strong. Mourn his death, and then hold onto the few words you guys spoke. Hold onto any interaction you had and don't let the grief consume your mind.
We're here for you, always remember that.", my mom said.
I looked up at her, my watery eyes meeting hers.
"I'm giving you Alpha Queen position. I want to stick with my small pack and just live with them. You cna have the throne, I don't want it.", I whispered.
"That is fine. I'm going to find a chosen mate if that is fine with you."
I nodded at her before leaning against her and Grayson leaning against me.
Slowly, I fell asleep and the last thing I saw was Colton's smiling face before I fell into a dark abyss.

Black Wind, White Lotus
In this world, there are haves and have nots. The former are pureblooded humans, some of whom are capable of manipulating qi, the mysterious energy that flows through every living creature, to miraculous results that defy the laws of nature and physics. Wen Feili was one such cultivator. However, she allied with the have nots- the anthropomorphic hybrids incapable of channeling qi-and dabbled in forbidden demonic arts, seeking to change the very composition of reality. This did not end well for her, and she was consumed by her own flames. A decade later, far in the northwestern mountains, her daughter Wen Fengli is working as a lowly servant of the minor Shuangshan sect. In between sweeping the floor and avoiding bullies, she secretly trains with a wooden sword, hoping to become a warrior cultivator at some point in the future. However, since she's part-human, part-wolf, it's just a pipe dream. ....or so she bitterly thought. However, one day a mysterious amulet that belonged to her mother falls into her hands. A deranged old master, a terrible conspiracy, a mysterious past? None of that matters to tomboyish wolfgirl, who only seeks to become stronger. She embarks on a journey of adventure and self-discovery, towards the mysterious southern lands where pure demi-humans are said to live...as spectre of war once again envelops the world of man. This is a Chinese-themed fantasy story set in a fictional world. You can classify it as xianxia, if you wish, but it's a rather low fantasy variant; the heavenly realm is silent, no one reached immortality in generations, and magical artifacts of old are locked away and feared. Magical beasts and spirits have been driven to the corners of civilisation, and "ordinary" abilities such as flying or controlling swords through telekinesis are considered spectacular feats. The main plot of this book revolves around a kemonomimi girl who seeks power, no matter the cost. This story also features multiple character pov, and will not always follow the perspective of the mc- there are two major plotlines, one connected to conspiracy and war ongoing in the political background of the presented world, and the other focusing on the main character's physical and metaphorical journey. Code Reader Kagami (LitRPG)
Sometimes things happen in this world that we are not in control of. Sometimes we are to a certain degree, and sometimes we are completely in control. However, this is a tale that constantly questions those boundaries. The story follows Kagami, a young programmer, as he winds up in a world almost alien to him. If it were up to him, he would have never visited this world and would rather stay raising his young daughter. Was it through his own actions that he had wound up here? Was it due to several combinations of factors? Or was it something he completely chose. These are questions that constantly haunt Kagami’s mind as he wanders this world and ponders his actions. Unfortunately, the glaring truth of it all refuses to ever look him in the eyes. Each night as he looks up at the night sky, he wonders if the end of this would turn out like the game he made. A tale of Guts and Glory… or would it turn out like he fears, a tale of blood and tears. Regardless of how it turns out, he will one day unveil the truth enshrouding it all. And perhaps in doing so, unveil the fate of his old world, enshrouded by mystery. ___________________________________________________________________________ While this is a typical Isekai started by the infamous truck-kun, the story is most definitely not what is to be taken at face value. I love making tragic twists into these types of stories. For Code Reader Kagami, you'll begin to see a descent into psychological madness. As your hero changes entirely from the moral man he initially was. If you're not a fan of dark aspect stories, this one is not for you. Thank you~
