Ryan's P.O.V

"Would you like to go see daddy now? Huh honey?", I cooed, bouncy Joey on my hip.

"Let's go see daddy.", I whispered.

I grew fond of Joey.

Josiah has been in a coma for about 2 weeks now.

He had multiple lacerations in his stomach and he had internal bleeding badly.

All done with silver and wolfsbane.

He barely made it through but now it's up to him whether he wants to fight for his son or just die.

I walked into the elevator, greeting my pack members as they walked out.

Room 702 was for higher ranking members but I demanded that Josiah be given the best of the best.

I walked in, closing the door softly behind me and sitting in the chair beside the hospital bed.

There were tubes going down Josiah's throat and going up his nose.

He was hooked up to all kinds of wires.

"You know Joey, they say that people in a coma can still hear everything around them. Maybe if you talk to your daddy, he might fight harder.", I told Joey.

"Daddy.", he said.

I smiled down at the kid before looking back to Josiah.

"We really need you here Josiah. You have to fight. For your little boy.

I've been putting him into the daycare center when I'm not able to take care of him.

Joy's taken a liking to a certain girl in there. He's been joined at the hip with her and following her everywhere.

He's learning all of the basics like how to count and his ABC's. I know it's a little early to do that stuff, but Joey has nothing better to do.

You have to come back soon, Josiah. Joey asks for you each day and everyday it gets harder to tell him that you're still not awake.

Please.", I begged.

Joey was asleep with his head laying on my shoulder.

I gave Josiah's hand a firm squeeze.

I went to let go, but his hand tightened around mine.

"Josiah?", I asked.

He grumbled and Joey woke up as I jostled him around.

"Daddy?", he whimpered.

Slowly, Josiah's eyes opened. He flinched at the harsh light as his eyes adjusted.

He pulled out the tubes and wires, no care in the world, his eyes only on Joey.

"Joey.", he whispered.

Clearing his throat, I grabbed the cup of water and brought it to his lips.

Josiah greedily gulped down the water before I pulled it away, Joey now getting fussy.

"Hand me my baby boy.", he said.

I gently laid Joey on Josiah's lap.

Josiah hugged Joey tightly and Joey hugged back as tight as his little arms would allow him.

Joey was soon lulled to sleep in his father's lap and Josiah looked to me.

"What can I do to repay you Alpha?", he questioned.

"Become a member of my pack.", I answered with no hesitation.

"You're not pulling my leg, are you?", Josiah asked with his eyes narrowed.

I shook my head. "No, I'm not pulling your leg.

This whole pack that you're sitting in right now, we were all once rogues.

Do you know who I am? Not my title, but who I actually am?", I asked Josiah.

Josiah shook his head.

"I am former Alpha Queen Ryan Halifax. I was left for dead in No Man's Land and saved by rogues.

I trained them and I made a pack for us. I've had plans of going out and finding rogues to recruit before I have to go to the United Packs Meeting.

I want you to join us Josiah. We could do it right here and right now if you'd like.", I informed.

Josiah looked shocked once he heard my name.

"I would love to join your pack, Alpha Queen.", he whispered.

"I'm not the Alpha Queen anymore. My pack and father betrayed me and left me for dead. But, I am Alpha Ryan Halifax, and that's Alpha Ryan to you for now.", I said blankly.

He nodded.

I stood up. "Now, what's your last name?"

"Kelly.", Josiah replied.

"Josiah Kelly, do you swear to protect this pack and your Alpha with your life? Do you swear to push yourself to be the best wolf you can possibly be and to contribute to the pack?"

"I swear.", he said with conviction.

I smiled as 2 more links clicked in place. Joey's would automatically be added because he was underage.

"There are some things you must do. You have to start training and running with your wolf for long distances.

If you want to fit in with the rest of the wolves and not be targeted during battle, your wolf form has to be bigger. Okay?", I informed.

"Yes Alpha Ryan. Thank you for everything.", he said.

"It's my duty as an Alpha, Josiah."

I started walking to the hospital room door when I turned around.

"Oh and Josiah?"

"Yeah?"

"Welcome to the HellHounds."
