《Coding His Heart // dreamnotfound》four

George was at his desk doing some tasks in a game he played with his friends while they were offline.
He couldn't get that smile out of his head. God it was so sweet and genuine. George was.. missing him.
But because he didn't want to look desperate he decided to wait on texting his new friend. Even if it was killing him thinking about it.
Several drafts in his notes app for the perfect first text. Of course every one seemed good till he read it a few times. Why was this so difficult? It's not like he's interested..
Wait..
George paused the game and stared at the wall behind his computer. Running through his whole life basically.
Surely I'm not- well..
He laughed to himself as we finally broke the gaze and looked down at his hands.
"I like men I guess.." he said to himself softly as it took him almost 20 some years to figure this out.
But George has really only had these thoughts, feelings.. needs for a few people. And yet here he is, thinking about an American who he had met only a couple hours ago.
George quickly picked up his phone and sent a text to his friend Wilbur.
"Hey, I think I fell for someone from the shopping center." George sent, a little nervous of what he would say.
"Woah, congrats! You've only liked about three people in your whole life." Wilbur sent with a smile emoji.
George could hear his heartbeat in his head while contemplating telling Wilbur who it was.
"Are you going to tell me or do I get to meet them?" Wilbur sent after waiting about 30 minutes for George who still hadn't replied.
"Yeah, but I don't want you to judge me ok? They're American.." he sent back.

"I see, going for a new breed are we? Well what's her name?!" Wilbur sent instantly. He was anxious to know.
If Wilbur was a true friend just like George knew him to be this won't be bad. But what if in the slight chance he decides to stop being friends because George likes a guy.
"Um.. Well his name is Dream." George looked at the message for nearly 15 minutes before sending it and tossing his phone on the bed right after hitting the send button.
What was he so scared of? He knew Wilbur wouldn't judge him but still.. what if he thought George was weird and blocked him forever and never text him or played video games with him all because George had feelings for a guy. And American but still a guy. Would he tell all their other friends to stop talking to George or maybe-
George jumped up from his chair and snatched his phone from the bed.
"Wow, that's an awesome name! I can't wait to meet him George. I'm happy you found someone this time in person and not online. You'll definitely have to introduce me sometime!"
His eyes tearing up at the acceptance and support from his friend. George wasn't expecting it honestly, but glad he could always rely on Wilbur.
Now his parents on the other hand, that's going to have to wait. No matter how much they loved him, George knew this would changed their view of him and he couldn't do that to them right now.
With a smile and a few tears still rolling down his cheeks, George sat back down and turned his favorite song on. He was so lucky to have Wilbur as his friend.

Dream had been tossing and turning in his bed since he laid down. He just couldn't get his mind to shut off.

All he could think about was that laugh and smile of the boy he had met today at the shopping center.
George.
George.
George..
His mind racing kept him up till now which was about 2 in the morning.
Dream finally gave up and rolled over to meet his phone on his pillow. Checking it for what could be the millionth time, yet no text.
After all the laughter, conversations and even what Dream thought was flirting he had yet to get a text.
Maybe I took it the wrong way. Maybe he didn't feel the same and was just being nice.
But you don't blush and make jokes that hint at something more if you had no intention of making something out of this.
"Damnit." Dream said as he turned his phone off and laid face down on the pillow.
Without even looking at the screen, Dream answered the phone immediately.
"Hello?" He said hoping to hear the accent over the phone speaker. The same one he was replaying in his head all day.
"Dream! Why are you awake? It's like 3 a.m. there. Are you doing some ghost ritual crap over there? Are you actually at hogwarts?" Sapnap laughed.
"Oh.. um no actually I was waiting for a text but I guess I should just give up on that hope." Dream sighed.
"Please tell me you didn't already get a girls number. I'm flying to London immediately if you can get a girl while only being there for less than a week." Sap said in a voice Dream couldn't tell if he was joking or not.
"No no it's something else. Plus I can get a girl back in Florida in under 5 minutes." Dream said in a cocky tone.
"Yeah right, then why haven't you had a girlfriend since 8th grade dude." Sap joked back.
"Shut up. You've never had a girl." Dream argued.
Sapnap laughed for a couple minutes which ultimately made Dream start laughing as well. Just hearing him made Dream nearly cry from laughing.
"Yikes, Dream chill. You didn't have to come for me that hard." Sap finally said over his laugh.
"I thought you liked that though." Dream laughed even harder.
"Dude stop, you're so weird." Sap said as he continued to laugh.
After both boys had been laughing for nearly an hour together over several different things they finally calmed down. Gathering themselves and taking a moment to breath.
"Ugh I miss you Dream." He said after drying his eyes from crying while laughing.
"I miss you to man. I'll get my computer set up in my room and we'll play again." Dream promised as his eyes slowly got heavy.
"You better. I bet I could beat you no sweat now." Sap said as he could tell Dream was definitely tired if not asleep already.
"I'll talk to you later, Night." Sapnap said softly as he ended the call.
Dream was already out and sleeping pretty good. He needed it because with university starting soon he would need all the energy and brain power to work.

Through Mist, Veil, and Summer
Anna Lawrence is a quiet girl who'd rather sit and write poetry than bustle about with her peers. After an incident resulting in a panic attack and a trip to the hospital, Anna's foster mother sends her to stay with her aunt and uncle for the summer. Upon arriving in the small mountain town of Glenwood, Anna finds herself caught in the machinations of another world on the other side of the fog: warring witches, animal-headed skypirates, and the boldest, bravest, most interesting girl Anna has ever met. THROUGH MIST, VEIL, AND SUMMER is my homage to Studio Ghibli films. It's a fantasy romance with a dash of adventure and a sprinkling of self-contemplation. It's a story that moves a little slower, a little quieter. It is my fourth novel, written between October 1, 2017 and January 6, 2019.
