Thyla was standing by Hera, watching her daughter converse with Ezra and Sabine. Zeb had started mingling with some of the others and Kanan was still talking with the Pantorian (Hera couldn't remember her name). Chopper was... well, being Chopper.
As they stood together, Thyla hesitated before quietly asking, "How... how did you meet him? Ezra?"
"By chance, really. We were stealing food for a refugee town on Lothal and he tried to steal them from us. One thing led to another, and now he's a part of our crew," she remembered, crossing her arms. "Of course, if you asked him or Kanan, they'd say it was the will of the Force. I still don't really understand what that means."
"I'd ask, but if you don't know..."
"You've heard of the Force?" Hera asked, surprised. "Most people I know have never heard of it unless they've met a Jedi before."
Shaking her head, Thyla looked at the captain. "I've heard of it, but I have no idea what it is. Not really."
Hera chuckled, leaning up against a counter. "I know how you feel." She glanced over at Kanan, knowing she was going to butcher this explanation but wanting to try anyway. "From what I can tell, the Force... wants certain things to happen. It has some kind of influence over Jedi."
"What kind of things?"
"I have no idea," she admitted, groaning. "Most of the time, it's something good, but I don't know what it wants."
Thyla looked away again, back at the kids. She stared for a long time, not responding to Hera. It took a minute, but Hera figured out that her eyes were trained on Soka, her daughter. "What is it?"
She looked down, then laughed at herself sadly. "You know, we really should have seen this coming. We name our daughter after her, and a few years later..."

"She has the Force," Hera guessed quietly.
"We've never told her," Thyla whispered. "She calls them her superpowers because we haven't told her there's a name for it. I've begged her not to use them outside the shop in case the Empire sees her. I don't know if she listens."
Hera looked at Soka again. So far, she hadn't used the Force in the presence of the rebels. If she knew the Jedi had the Force, she'd be asking Ezra all kinds of questions, she reasoned. She has no idea. "There's a Jedi Knight in the Rebellion," she told Thyla, "a good one. He could help her."
To her surprise, Thyla shook her head. "I'm glad some of them survived, but they're still in danger. All of them, even your friends. If anyone, even Jedi, find out she has the Force, she could die."
"They'll take care of her."
"And what if they die? What does she do then?"
She couldn't answer that. Skywalker didn't talk about any other Jedi, at least not to Hera. Maybe there was another Jedi friend that might be able to help if something happened to him, but if not, Kanan and Ezra were the only other people that might be able to do something.
"She's safer here than anywhere else," Thyla insisted, looking around. "The Empire doesn't have as strong a presence on Alderaan because of the Rebellion. They won't look for her if they never have a reason to."
"I certainly hope so, but if I've learned anything about Jedi recently, it's that reason doesn't always win out in the end. Some things happen whether they're supposed to or not."

Formicea
The swarm.A unitary force of countless entities.Nightmarish creatures from the darkest depths. All working towards a greater purpose.Simply fulfilling their role in a complex system.Abducted from the world I know I am now forced to become a part of this.Forced to help these horrors to increase their power. However, they are not mindless killers. There might be a way for me.I could influence them from the inside. To prevent that anyone has to die.To protect the ones I love.Maybe I can adjust. If not for the eggs.
8 291Luck Lockyer
Luck Lockyer was the type of man to smirk in the dark, the expression not for anyone but himself. One of perpetual amusement. The bright side of things were hard to find in the shade yet his amber eyes were always searching. The smirk was his default, he knew it, his friends knew it, his family knew it. It was his most natural state. But the death of everyone close to you can affect a downwards curve on the mouths of even the most stoic people. Without purpose, without anyone to do the job for, Luck Lockyer found himself inside an empty forgotten church. The perpetual smirk on his face had slipped to a thin line, his scar more noticeable now than ever before. His amber eyes, the windows to his soul, dull and lifeless. To anyone who knew him, it was the clothing that gave away his mental state, denim pants and a plain black t-shirt. If that wasn't enough, the tears running down his face certainly would, the echoing sobs of a broken man rang across the rundown church. It was on a whim, but Luck Lockyer prayed, he prayed for many things, for death, revenge, friends, but the one prayer dominating his thoughts, a second chance for his family. That was all he wanted. Simple. It was then, on the outskirts of a polluted city, in an abondoned lot, in a forgotten church that Luck Lockyer, the Devil of the Cards, the Bloodless Hand, the Amber Demon, the Broken, was answered by a being from another world and one from his. *found the picture online

Lost. Vulnerable. Alone. What would you sacrifice to get home? Kidnapped on the cusp of graduation, Jake is dumped into a deadly world of levels and magic. His dreams shattered again, he’s left with a choice: fight or die – and Death won’t let him go that easily. A savage wolf, a horrific secret, and an abhorrent quest make day one the second worst day of his life. Whatever bastard is pulling the strings is due one hell of a reckoning. On the plus side, there’s magic, and Jake’s got the stats to master it. Spells not included, but, hey, creating spells and programming are basically the same thing, right? At least Spellcrafting is slightly less suicidal than trying to stop the encroaching dungeon spawn threat. Because why wouldn’t there be an apocalypse in progress. All the more reason to find his way back fast. Unfortunately, the path home leads right into the heart of danger. Fighting monsters, dungeon delving, solving puzzles – whatever it takes, Jake is finding his way home. He’ll need allies. Powerful allies, like a trainee ranger who struggles to find her hairbrush. Pointy ears, executive dysfunction, and a perilously gutsy moral compass – what more could one want in a Companion? Alas, beggars can’t be choosers. He needs every edge he can get. Going home means finishing his quest. That quest. The quest that doesn’t deserve completion. Save your father, save the world. Update Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Temporarily ad hoc.
8 255Devil-Marked
For over two decades, Vincent of Greenhills resisted the pull of his own innate talent. But when his young daughter inherits a similar curse, she proves far less adept at hiding her powers. And they both pay a price for her desire to do good. With little left to lose and vengence left to gain, how much of his soul, both figuratively and literally, will he spend?
