《The Rising Demon |Black Butler| |Reader Insert|》Nice to see you too, Shortstack!

Waking up to sunlight streaming through the windows was an okay way to wake up. You didn't like the sun. Or anything bright, for that matter. With a sigh, you appeared inside the bathroom. Except you forgot you've been sleeping and immediately fell to the floor.

"Alexa, set reminder to not teleport to the bathroom."

...

"Hey Google, set reminder to not teleport to the bathroom."

...

"Hey Siri, set reminder to not teleport to the bathroom."

...

"DAMMIT I FORGOT WE LIVE IN THE NINETEENTH FUCKING CENTURY!"

You slowly stood up from your position on the floor and snapped your fingers. Your hair was brushed—or as brushed as it could be, and you were dressed in regular clothing as well.

"Hey, Kin!" You called out, taking a step out of the bathroom and appearing in the hall. "Woah..." You stopped, looking at all of the half dead mice on the floor. Kin was standing over them.

"What in the absolute fuck did you do?"

She just screeched at you.

"Don't give me that attitude." With a flick of your wrist, all of the bodies were piled into the corner. Kin yelled angrily at you for ruining her masterpiece. "I don't give a shit, do that in the living room or something. Not where I walk." You walked past her and waved your hand. You were now outside, and the house was nowhere to be seen.

'I smell something.' You thought, eyes trailing the tree line. You heard the soft crunch of leaves being stepped on and noticed a small deer grazing a few meters away from you. (

You held out your hand, and you could see the deer perk its head up. Its legs began to move, but it didn't go anywhere. You slowly flexed your fingers, hearing its panicked and pained cries grow louder. Then you clenched your hand which was followed by a sickening crack.

Nothing was left after you were finished. Not a speck of blood or even a smell. You were very proud of your eating abilities. Years of practice made you a master. So, with that out of the way, you began to walk through the forest. Granted, you didn't know where the Phantomhive Estate was, but you knew it definitely was not in the forest.

'Walking takes so long.' You thought, your pace slowing. You felt the skin on your back stretch before breaking apart, painful stinging running up and down your back. Two large wings unfurled themselves. With one push, you flew through the air and high above the trees. You could sense Ciel's soul from up there, now able to follow it to his home. You flew over buildings, houses, roads, farms. No one seemed to notice you.

Finally, you arrived at the spot where his soul was emanating from. The house was quite large, and the land it was on spanned a few acres. You gently landed on the doorstep of the manor. You could sense Sebastian just on the other side of the door. Without warning, it opened, revealing the jet-black butler. He had a pleasant expression on at first, but when he saw your wings, it changed. It was probably strange to see a pair of three-meter wings attached to someone. (If we're rounding up, it's 10 feet each wing).

"What a peculiar set of wings," he said, admiring them. You flapped one of them before letting them disappear. The holes were still in the back of your shirt, but you would fix it.

"Thank you. I'm glad you don't flip your shit unlike some people," you replied with a smile.

"Please, come in. The Young Master's waiting," he invited, stepping to the side and allowing you to enter. When you got into the manor, you could already tell it was a life of luxury. Up at the top of the stairs was the Earl himself.

"It's weird seeing you above me and not below me," you called, a smirk playing at your features. An irk mark appeared on his head. It's been less than ten seconds and you've already managed to piss him off. Great job.

"Shut up!" He exclaimed, a faint blush rising to his cheeks. He cleared his throat, composure returning. "Sebastian, show Y/n to her room." Ciel turned around and walked down one of the hallways. Sebastian walked over to you and gestured with his hand.

"Please, this way," he guided, a smile on his face. You could tell by just looking at him it wasn't real.

"Don't smile like that. It makes you look creepy," you grimaced.

"My apologies." His face went back to normal. He led you to the staircase when an explosion went off from somewhere in the mansion.

"... well, that's interesting," you said. Sebastian let out a sigh, seemingly used to this.

"Please, excuse me," he said, annoyance written all over his face. He left you standing near the stairs. After a minute he exited from a room, dragging three people who you guessed were the other servants. You looked at each one in the eye. Even when they didn't share eye contact with you, for a moment, your eyes flashed a deep red.

'Finnian, or Finny for short. Was an experiment until he was taken in. Has super strength.' You then looked at the purple haired girl.

'Mey-Rin. Was an assassin until she was taken in. Has great eyesight. Very clumsy.' You then looked at the man with dirty blond hair.

'Baldroy, or Bard for short. Was a soldier before Sebastian took him in. Great with guns.' Sebastian dropped them into one big pile of humans with another sigh.

"Please introduce yourselves," he ordered, irritation leaking out of him. They all nodded and scrambled up to their feet, posture stiff.

"I'm Baldroy! But you can call me Bard for short!"

"I'm Mey-Rin, yes I am!"

"And I'm Finnian! But you can call me Finny!" They all introduced with large smiles. You smiled back at them and waved.

"Nice you meet you three. I'm Y/n L/n, the new maid," you greeted back. "By the way, what happened in the kitchen?" You already knew what happened. They all nervously laughed amongst each other.

"The food was taking too long to cook, so I used my handy blowtorch to speed up the process," Bard replied, his chest puffing up proudly before deflating when he saw Sebastian's glare. You let out a snort.

"Were you trying to harness the sun, or something?" You inquired, seeing him blush slightly in embarrassment.

"Well, I— er..."

'What a lively bunch.' You thought, gazing at all three of them.

"Now then, Y/n. Let's—"

"ARF!"

You looked back over towards the door and saw a—

'Naked man...?' You thought while sweat dropping. He jumped onto you and started licking your face. You froze, blinking blankly at the prospect of what just happened.

"Hello there..." You greeted awkwardly. He nuzzled his head in the crook of your neck contently.

"A-ah! I'm so sorry Miss Y/n!" Finny apologized while waving his hands.

"It's okay Finny, I like dogs," you reassured. He stared at you in confusion.

"You're not scared? Or freaked out?"

"Scared? Of course I'm not. Although, you should probably watch who he licks."

"His name is Pluto!" Finny exclaimed, excitement bubbling up inside of him.

"Hello, Pluto," you said to him. He licked your face and you let out a light laugh at how energetic he was. He was a Demon Hound. Obviously. An idiot could tell you that. "Well, it was nice meeting you three, and you too Pluto." You gently pushed him off of you before ruffling his grey hair.

"Y/n, allow me to show you to your room," Sebastain spoke up. You nodded at him and began to follow him, waving at the others. The two of you walked up the stairs and made a left. Halfway down the hall, he suddenly stopped. You raised your brow at him, stopping behind him.

"The Young Master wishes to speak with you," he said suddenly. You let out a sigh.

"Of course he does," you muttered.

"Follow me."

You did. The sheer size of manor was impressive to you. While you weren't surprised Sebastian had no problem navigating it, the other servants did. They didn't seem like they were competent, outside of the battlefield. He stopped at a door, knocking on the door a couple of times before slowly opening it.

"Excuse me," he called, opening it wide enough for the both of you. You saw Ciel sitting behind his desk, papers laid out.

"You wished to speak with me?" You spoke up.

"Yes. I have your uniform." His eyes went to the chair where fabric was laid out. You walked up to it and examined it. You snapped your fingers, and your old clothes were now on the chair. Your new maid uniform was on you.

"So? How is it?" Ciel questioned, fingers laced together. You looked down at yourself.

"Not bad," you replied. Smug seemed to radiate off of him and you quickly caught onto it. "Woah, slow your roll, kid. Don't get your gonads in a twist." The young boy's brow twitched.

"Would you stop that!"

You just shrugged and disappeared out of the room in a blink of an eye.

"What's her deal?" Sebastian heard Ciel say. He turned and looked at him. "She keeps acting like she's some superior being." It was a murmur.

"Perhaps it is because the Young Master's attitude rubs her the wrong way," Sebastian suggested.

"Don't be ridiculous. Someone like her shouldn't be as easily irritated."

Sebastian didn't reply, instead, he just stared at him.

You let out a smirk and pushed off of the door, walking down the hall.

'That short stack doesn't know shit. Why would he? He's a child.'

He may have a demon butler, but he will never know all of the secrets you and Hell contain.

Ja ne!
