Christmas was quickly approaching at Hogwarts. With everything going on with quidditch, lessons and looking after Indie, time has gone incredibly quickly and, before I even realised, it was the beginning of December.

Draco and I spent as much time together as we possibly could, which was a lot harder now considering we didn't take all the same lessons and he had to run quidditch practice almost every day. However, even with all of these distractions, I felt I was getting even closer to him as the days rolled by.

Indie was absolutely loving spending her time at Hogwarts. She loved being in the Great Hall with everyone at dinner times and she spent half the days on the Ravenclaw table with me, and the other half on the Slytherin table with Draco. I still haven't taken her to any classes yet though as I didn't feel ready for that so if Draco wasn't in lessons he'd look after her but if we were both in lessons then Madam Pomfrey would look after her.

Madam Pomfrey said that she was an amazing nurse and always helped to look after the students that were sent there and entertained them, and hearing that made my heart fill with love for my daughter.

It was currently the evening December 4th and I had just finished up with lessons for today. I had hardly seen Draco today, which was quite odd, but I just assumed that it was because he was busy with lessons and work.

I walked back to our apartment and took back Indie from Madam Pomfrey who had been looking after her for most of the day since Draco and I weren't available much.

When I stepped foot into the room, I expected to see Draco there as he was normally here at this time, but he wasn't. I placed Indie onto the floor so I could put my school bag down and when I walked past the table in the living room area, I saw I piece of paper sitting in the middle of it with my name on. I picked it up and opened it to read it and I could already tell it was from Draco because of his writing.

To my Lilah,

Tonight I'm going to take you on a little date. Please be ready by 7pm, then go and meet with Madam Pomfrey in the infirmary and leave Indie with her.

I love you, and I'll see you soon,

I smiled as I read the note, we haven't gone a proper date since we've been back at Hogwarts so I was very excited. I placed the note back down on the table and looked at the time to see how long I had left.

Shit, I thought, it's already 6:07.

I quickly scrambled to get Indie into bed for a nap, then I went and took a shower. When I got out of the shower, I blow dried my hair and used my wand to put it up in a braid. I then slipped into a dress I hadn't worn yet, and one that Draco hasn't seen before either. It was a floor length, body tight, navy blue dress. It has quite a deep neckline and it has two slits at the waist on each side. After my dress was on, I did my makeup a bit more than usual. I had a slightly darker eyeshadow and I used lipstick for my lips as well, instead of just lipgloss.

When I finished getting ready, I checked the time and saw that it was exactly 7pm, so I walked out into the infirmary. I felt a little weird being in full glam in school when there wasn't a ball or a school dance, but I pushed that thought to the back of my head.

"Hey," I said to Madam Pomfrey when I reached her, "Indie's asleep in her room at the moment."

"Lovely, now Draco told me to give you this", she said as she handed me a note. I opened it up and read it:

Whenever I'm with you I feel no regret,

Go to the place where we first properly met.

I thought for a second, then started on my way to the Slytherin Common Room. That was the first time I met him properly and had a full conversation with him so surely that's where he means.

When I reached the Common Room, I saw Blaise standing outside, leaning against the wall. When I walked up to him, he didn't say anything but just gave me another note:

My mother always told me we'd be more than just neighbours,

Now go to the place where you went into labour.

The Transfiguration class. I made my way over to the classroom and when the door came into sight, I saw someone else standing outside of it, but this time it was Cho. And, just like Blaise and Madam Pomfrey did, she handed me a note:

The fact that I have you makes me feel like a winner,

Now travel to the place where we have our dinner.

I thought he must be referring to the Great Hall, so I started walking over to there. When I got to the Great Hall, I was met with Goyle. And, yet again, he gave me another note, so I unfolded it and began to read:

Your eyes are the most beautiful shade of blue,

Now go to the place where I was spying on you.

His compliment made me feel so much better and I smiled as I started to make my way to the library, where 'mione accused him of spying on us, which turned out to be true. I entered the library and went to the herbeology section and standing there I saw Luna. She handed me the note she was holding and I read it:

I can't help but smile whenever you are near,

Go to the place where I spent most of sixth year.

I knew he meant the Room of Requirement and luckily I knew where that was thanks to 'mione telling me about it the other year. When I got to the seventh floor, I saw Hermione leaning against the wall that lead to the room. She gave me a smile and handed me her note:

Meeting Indie was one of the best days of my life, I knew it was right,

Now go to the place that sent me to the infirmary that night.

The memories of him meeting Indie for the first time flashed through my brain, making me smile even more to myself. I only just realised that if he hadn't been injured by Harry that night, our story would not have started off the same and we probably wouldn't be where we are today without that.

I quickly made my way over to that boys bathroom, wanting to know who or what was waiting for me there. When I made it, I was greeted by a smiling Gray, and he handed me the final note:

I can't wait to spend my future with you and Indie,

Finally go to the place where we became free.

He must be referring to the courtyard, that is where we found at that Voldemort was killed, and we were finally free from him. I walked to the courtyard and I slightly regretted my choice of wearing such high heels, but I forgot about all of that when I saw what awaited me in the courtyard.

All around the area, there were fairy lights put up everywhere, lighting up the place and making it feel so welcoming and cosy. Right up through the centre of the courtyard were two rows of tea light candles, creating a fictional aisle, and at the end of that aisle was the love of my life, his back facing me.

I started walking towards him, up the candle lit aisle and, as if sensing my presence, he turned around to greet me. A huge grin spread across his face as he saw me, and he looked me up and down and grinned even wider at my outfit.

"Oh my- You look gorgeous", he said as I reached him, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"What's going on?" I asked as I examined the area even more, confused as why the courtyard looked so beautiful, "I thought we were just going on a little date?"

"Lilah," he said, bringing my attention back to him as he held onto both of my hands, "ever since I properly met you that night at the Slytherin party, I knew there was something super special about you, and I haven't been able to get you out of my mind since. Whatever I'm doing, wherever I am, I'm always thinking of you and it always brings a smile to my face. You've changed me Lilah, and now I'm a much better man because of you. I love you so much, I always have, and I know I will continue to love you for as long as I shall live. There's nothing I want more in life than to spend the rest of it with you, my love. I know we're still young but we've already experienced and been through so much more that most people our age have, and I've never been more sure of anything in my entire life. So..."

He let go of my hands as he reached into his blazer pocket. Tears started to fill my eyes as I realised what was happening.

And then he got down on one knee, ring box in hand.

"Delilah Jane Davis, will you marry me?"

I could hardly believe what I was hearing, but I knew there was only one possible answer to this question:

"Yes, yes! Of course I'll marry you!" I said, so full of excitement and love.

He slid the ring, which was absolutely massive and must've cost a fortune, onto my left ring finger and stood back up off of his knee

"I love you", he whispered as we pulled each other into a long hug.

"And I love you", I whispered back, tears still spilling out of my eyes.

That was definitely the happiest I've ever felt in my whole entire life.
