《Baby Daddy》18. Love

"Severus", spoke the noseless bastard, "I was beginning to worry you had lost your way. Come, we've saved you a seat".
Here I was, sitting in yet another Death Ester meeting, bored out of my mind. I wished for nothing more than to be back in my room with Lilah and Indie, instead of wasting my times at these useless meetings.
"It will happen Saturday next, at nightfall", said my favourite professor as he took a seat at my dining room table.
"I've heard differently, my Lord", spoke Yaxley, he was one of the only Death Eaters I actually knew the name of. At this point there were too many to count and way too many to keep track of their names. I can't believe I let my father drag me into this life, I thought, not that I had a choice though.
I hadn't realised I'd zoned out until I heard the table of people laughing at something the Death Eater next to me had said.
"What says you Pius?" said the Dark Lord.
"One hears many things, my Lord. Whether the truth is among them is not clear."
"Spoken like a true politician. You will, I think, prove most useful Pius", he then turned his head back to Snape. "Where will the boy be taken, a safe house?"
"Most likely the home of someone in the Order. I'm told it's been given every manner of protection possible. Once there, it will be impractical to attack him", he replied.
As much as I despised Harry, I did feel quite sorry for him with all of these horrible Death Eaters out to kill him. After, all he technically hasn't done anything wrong.
"My Lord", said my deranged aunt, "I'd like to volunteer myself for this task. I want to kill the boy."
A scream sounded from the dungeons. "Wormtail!" Voldemort shouted, making me jump a bit, "Have I not spoken to you about keeping our guests quiet?"
"Yes, my Lord. Right away, my Lord", he said before running off. What a teachers pet.
He then turned back to face my aunt before speaking again, "As inspiring as I find you're bloodlust Bellatrix, I must be the one to kill Harry Potter".
"But, I face an unfortunate complication", he continued. "That my wand and Potter's share the same core. They are, in some ways, twins. We can wound but not fatally harm one another", he then placed his wand down onto the table. "If I am to kill him, I must do it with another's wand."

He then began walking around the room in my direction, "Surely one of you would like the honour, hmm? What about you, Lucius?" he said as he approached and stopped by my father. Ew, he smells of rotten fish.
"My Lord", said my father, sounding scared. What the fuck is he scared about? I thought to myself. I mean, he was the one that dragged my mother and I into this after all.
I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard Voldemort snap the end of my fathers wand off. "And the core?"
"Dragon heartstring", he said, still sounding and looking fearful.
"Dragon heartstring?" repeated the Dark Lord, to which my father nodded, before throwing the end of his cane on to the table.
"To those of you who do not know, we are joined tonight by Miss Charity Burbage who, until recently, taught at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry." I was well aware of who she was and, even though I don't fully agree with everything she teaches, she definitely doesn't deserve this.
I could hear Voldemort speaking, but I couldn't quite make out what he was saying, as I stared up at the Hogwarts professor in sympathy. Suddenly, a curse hit her and she fell to the table right in front of me, and Voldemort ordered Nagini to finish her off and eat her, which made me feel sick to my stomach.
Not that I'd ever actually say this to him, but Voldemort is so fucking disrespectful. We kindly open up our home for him to use as his headquarters and he treats us like a pieces of shit, and goes around killing people here and there as if he's picking out some candy in a sweet shop.
And, not to mention, he created a fucking dungeon in the basement of our house where he keeps his 'guests' and tortures them. Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the night after having a nightmare, and hear people's screams of pure pain and terror, which makes me feel absolutely disgusted.
Draco was much quieter than usual tonight when he came back from his Death Eater meeting. However, he refuses to tell me what goes on in any of the meetings because he believes that the less I know, the safer I'll be.
He was currently sitting on the edge of his bed with his sleeve up, staring down at his Death Mark with a blank expression on his face.
"Draco, come to bed. It's late and you need your rest", I said to him, patting the empty space in the bed next to me.

When he didn't reply but just continued to stare down at his forearm, I sighed and decided to lie down to get some sleep myself.
After about ten minutes of me lying in bed, trying and failing to fall asleep, I heard Draco say, "I'm sorry".
I sat up in his bed immediately. "What on earth are you sorry about?"
"This", he said, waving his arms around the room. "Everything."
"What do mean?" I asked, wondering what he was going on about
"I just feel like- like I've ruined your life, and you could be having a happy life with someone else right now. Someone who isn't only your boyfriend because he's the father of your child. Someone who is actually there for the first few months of their daughters life. Someone who can look after you properly and be there for you all the time. Someone who isn't a, you know, Death Eater like me."
"Is that really what you think?" I took the duvet off of my body and swung my legs over the edge of the bed to go and sit next to him.
"I mean, it's the truth isn't it?" he frowned.
"What makes you think that?" I questioned, wandering where he's getting these ideas from.
"It's just, no one can love me. I'm a fucking bully, like your sister said, who makes fun of people for things they can't change. I'm a broken man who's only going to do bad to you. I'm bad for you Lilah and I know you're only with me because I'm Indie's father."
Hearing this made my heart break slightly. Is this really what he thinks?
"Draco, don't ever think like that about yourself. You are only acting like this because this is how you were brought up to be so do not blame yourself. You're still young and learning about life so just because you aren't perfect now it doesn't mean your unworthy. Besides, nobody's ever perfect, and everyone makes mistakes in their life! Your flaws are what I like most about you, and watching you learn and grow from your mistakes. And of course I'm not with you just because you're Indie's father! I mean yes, she may have brought us together but now I'm with you because I'm in love with you! Because I love you Draco."
His eyes widened at my confession as he turned to look me in the eye, "Y-you what?"
"I love you", I repeated, grabbing hold of his hand, hoping he feels the same way otherwise this would be very awkward for me.
"I love you too, Lilah", he smiled, making me sign in relief. "I always have, and I always will", he pulled me in for a deep and meaningful kiss.
After a few minutes, he pushed me back against the mattress as our kiss grew more passionate and urgent, so that he was now on top of me and I was laying beneath him. I unbuttoned his shirt and took it off his body as he put his knee between my legs, separating them slightly. He started to peel up my dress to reveal my lace underwear, when suddenly the door swung open.
"Hel-", Narcissa began but froze when she realised what she'd walked in on.
Draco jumped off of me as quickly as he could and attempted to cover up his now bare chest with the duvet as I hurriedly pulled down my dress so that my underwear and thighs weren't on show. He also put a cushion on his lap to cover up his excitement.
"Mom!" Draco said, "What did I tell you about knocking?" I could tell he was extremely embarrassed and he couldn't even attempt to hide the blush that had spread to his cheeks.
"I'm so sorry, I was just coming to check you were okay after today's... meeting", she said, now also a little awkward.
"But, if it makes you feel any better, Lucius and I do this kind of stuff all the time so there's no need to be ashamed of it", she tried to reassure Draco
"Mother!" Draco spoke, now even more embarrassed and awkward than before, "You did not need to get any of those... images in my head."
I couldn't help but laugh at both of their remarks and Narcissa gave me a little wink.
"Okay, so now that I know you aren't too upset about what you witnessed in the meeting today Draco, I'll be off then", she said as she shuffled back towards the door.
However, before she reached the door she said, "And I was serious when I said I didn't want anymore grandchildren anytime soon, so use protection kids."
She got half way through the door when she turned around, "Oh, and please put a silencing charm on the room next time because eventually Lucius is going to realise it isn't just the house elves." And with that, she left.
"Fucking hell", Draco said, smashing his face into a pillow as I laughed nervously.
