《Baby Daddy》2. Morning

I woke up to the sound of someone shuffling around the room. I opened my eyes a fraction to see who was there, as I had my own room so I didn't have any roommates. My eyes took a second to adjust the light streaming in through the edges of the curtain, and when I could finally see, I looked up and saw a head of silvery blonde rushing out the door and shutting it behind her. Delilah.
I sat up in my bed and looked around and my saw clothes from last nights party scattered all over the floor, along with a t-shirt that I knew was too small for me. It took me a second to realise that I wasn't wearing any clothes and then suddenly memories of last nights activities came flashing back through my mind. I got out of bed to try and distract myself from those thoughts and started to pick the clothes up off the floor and tidy them away.
As I began to get myself ready for the day I found that I couldn't stop thinking about her, and I couldn't work out why. I did things like what I did with her last night all the time with different people but I never think about them like this as much as I am thinking about Delilah.
As I put on my tie I decided that it was just because my mother was great friends with hers, and I saw her moms often because they were always round having dinner with each other when I would come home for holidays. So, with that sorted, I pushed her to the back of my mind as I stepped out of my room and into the Common Room to continue on with my day as normal.
But, for the whole day, my mind kept on wandering over to her and the intimate moment we shared with each other last night.
I ran out of his room and into the Slytherin Common Room. Luckily it was still early so there wasn't anyone in there yet, so I rushed over to the door and ran back towards the Ravenclaw dormitories.
Oh no, Ash is gonna murder me, I thought as I ran.
My first time at a Slytherin Party and I disappear after not even ten minutes. Maybe she didn't realise, I tried to reassure myself as the door to the Common Room came into sight.
I paused outside the door catching my breath and running my hands through my hair so that it didn't look like I just ran halfway across the school to get back to my dorm before she woke up. I walked in and over to the girls bedrooms and hesitated as I put my hand on the handle to my dorm before opening it, worried about what is going to great me on the other side.

"Where the fuck have you been?!" she shouted. "When I woke up this morning and saw you weren't in your bed do you have any idea how worried I was for you?!"
"Jeez, sorry mom", I mocked, making her angrier than she already was, if that was even possible.
"Where did you go after you left the dance floor last night because I couldn't find you?" she asked, calming down slightly as she saw I was okay and not hurt. I blushed as my night with Draco replayed in my mind. "You slept with someone didn't you?" she asked, even though she already knew the answer.
"I don't know what your talking about", I spoke confidently, but she saw right through me.
"Who? Do I know him? Was he cute? What house is he in?" she quickly asked, bombarding me with too many questions for this early in the morning.
I looked over to the side the see Luna and Cho sitting up in there beds, also eagerly waiting to listen to what I was about to say. It was then that I decided I wouldn't tell them it was Draco so I had to think fast.
"Um, well his name is Jack, not sure what his second name is ", I said, knowing there were so many Jacks in the school so they could never find out. "I don't think you know him, he's a Hufflepuff".
At this point I was just making stuff up as I go along, but I don't want to be too descriptive so they don't find someone who matches the description and interrogate him, like they've done with previous boys I've slept with.
"Go on, continue. What does he look like?" Cho asked.
"He has... brown hair with brown eyes, quite cute", I said nervously.
"Yeah, well about 70% of boys in Hufflepuff match that description so please give us more details!" Ashley begged.
"To be honest, I don't really remember much as I had too much to drink".
"I know that's a lie, I don't think you even took a sip of the drink I gave you!" said Ashley, dying to know more.
"It's okay, if she doesn't want to tell us then she doesn't have to tell us", Luna spoke in her sweet voice.
"Thank you Luna! Now Ash, if you don't mind I'm going to get ready for the day"
"Ugh, fine..." she moaned, but I knew that that wasn't the last I was going to hear of it.

I was sitting in Divination with the Hufflepuffs, trying to stop thinking about last night, when suddenly Professor Trelawny was standing in front of me asking a question. I was zoned out so I didn't hear the question so, instead of trying to answer the unknown question and embarrass myself, I just asked "Sorry Professor, but could you repeat that?"
"I said what did you see first when looking at that picture over there?" she spoke, pointing over to a picture that was put up on the board.
I looked over to were she was pointing and immediately saw two hands holding onto each other. However, as I looked closer at the picture I also saw a butterfly, a horse and many other things I couldn't quite figure out. After a few seconds of staring at the picture I felt someone nudge their elbow into my ribs and then I remembered that I was supposed to be answering a question.
"Oh sorry, I saw two people holding hands" I spoke softly, embarrassed that I got distracted.
A shocked look crossed her face before saying "Wow, very, very interesting. Not even 1% of people see that first time". She paused as a few people around the classroom began to whisper, before continuing on, "If you see that first then it means a major life event is coming up that, at first, will seem terrible. But, after time, it will become a blessing", she said before walking back to the front of the class and dismissing us.
I jumped as Ash came whizzing up next to me. "I wonder what that means. Maybe you'll finally get a boyfriend", she said excitedly, wiggling her eyebrows up and down.
"Shut up", I told her before linking my arm with hers and walking out of the classroom towards the Great Hall for lunch. "It's probably just the OWLs coming up, nothing that dramatic".
"Yeah I guess, that does make sense", she sighed.
As we entered the Great Hall I found my eyes wandering over to the Slytherin table, looking for a certain blonde. I finally saw him, and my eyes immediately met with his, as he must've already been looking at me, before we both awkwardly turned away. His focus was now back on his friends.
Maybe he was thinking about me too, I thought to myself before completely dismissing the idea because why on earth would the Slytherin Prince be thinking about me. I was just another one of his 'conquests', nothing more, and I don't know why I ever thought other wise. I don't even know why I was thinking about him at all. Up until last night I never even took a second look at him when I passed him in the corridor, but now he was all I could seem to think about.
I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard both Ashley and Grayson calling out my name, trying to get my attention. I turned my head towards then and faintly smiled.
"Are you okay Lilah?" Grayson asked me, with a concerned look in his face.
"Yeah, you've been really distracted all day, is it about that Jack guy?" she asked.
"Who's Jack?" questioned Gray, looking back over to Ash.
"No one, it doesn't matter, it's nothing", I replied.
"Well it sure doesn't look like nothing darling, are sure you're okay?"
"I'm sure, I'm fine", I snapped back.
"I don't believe y-" but before he could finish his sentence I interrupted him.
"Look, I said it's nothing. I'm fine, honestly", I spoke, trying not to raise my voice.
"If you say so", he said, not looking at all convinced but I didn't want to tell either of them the truth about what went down last night with Draco, as they both absolutely hate him because every now and then he makes fun of them for being Halfbloods.
"I'm not that hungry, I'm going to the library", I said, just wanting to be on my own.
"Oh good idea, I needed to get a-" Cho started, beginning to standing up but I stopped her.
"Alone", I said, with a sorry look on my face.
"Oh, okay. See you in Potions then", she waved goodbye.
"Bye", I waved back at all of them, feeling a slight bit of regret for snapping at them, but I was so tired, not really being able to sleep at all last night, and I just needed some quiet time away from everyone. So, off I went to the library by myself.
At least I thought I was alone.
