Aziel's pov:
Two more hours later, the nurse came in, checked on her and she finally got her epidural as she was 4 centimetres dilated. I could see that she was feeling less pain as the epidural starts to kick in.
It was now 6 am.
"How are you feeling?" I asked her.
"Better now, but I'm a little tired." She replied.
"Do you want some water?" I asked her and she shook her head no.
"I'm good." She says.
Alfred texted me earlier to ask about her health and so did our friends and family. Catalaiya gave me her phone cause she knows that Nayvee will text her. I'm replying to her.
They were all eager to meet our little munchkin.
So are we...

A couple of hours later at 1 p.m, Catalaiya was finally 7 centimetres dilated. She was exhausted. She had a few cubes of ice and some water to stay hydrated and the nurses were coming in and going out.
Right now it was 6 p.m and she was finally 10 centimetres dilated. The nurses were here, our Dr Georgia was here too.
"When you feel the contraction you push and we will start counting." Dr Georgia said and I nodded.
I was tired but I'm ready to push this little munchkin out.
I felt the contraction coming and I started to push while Dr Georgia counted. However, I stopped midway as I felt like I was going to throw up.
"It's ok, breath."
I took a small break before pushing again.
"1... 2... 3... 4... 5...-"
I stopped as I couldn't breathe.
"Sorry, can't breathe." I panted.
"It's ok, you're doing great but you need to go over the bump now."
"1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7...8... good job... 9... 10... breathe..."

"I can see the head," I heard Aziel say.
I felt the nurse put a towel on me while the other nurse handed Aziel a pair of scissors.
"One more time and it'll be over."
I took a deep breath and used all my energy left to do a final push out.
"1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10... here is the baby."
The room filled with a loud cry.
Tears rolled down my cheeks as I held my baby onto me.
"Congratulation, it's a baby girl."
The baby was covered in white stuff and some blood but she was so precious. Aziel cut the cord before the nurse grabbed the baby to clean her.
"She's so tiny," Aziel said mesmerised.
I leaned back, having no energy to move. The doctor and nurses did their job with both me and the baby. They got us cleaned.
"Rest a little, I'll look after her," Aziel told me before kissing my forehead and I nodded. I could barely keep my eyes open.
Once I closed my eyes, I passed out.

When I woke up, Aziel was having skin to skin contact with our baby girl. She was curled up against his chest as she slept peacefully.
"Hey," I said lowly to gain his attention.
He looked up and smiled, "She's so tiny and precious."
I smiled back.
"What happened when I passed out?" I asked him.
"They check her, check you and left us to have some skin to skin contact. She cried for the first fifteen minutes but then she got comfy and stopped." Aziel told me.
"I was so tired that I didn't even hear her cry," I added.
"It's okay, you needed to sleep." He stood up, making his way to me.

I pulled my gown down a little so that I could have some skin to skin with our baby girl. She cry for a few seconds as we move her but stopped when she touched my chest. Aziel pulled the blanket on both of us.
"I'm hungry," I told him.
"I'll get you some food."
He wore his shirt before walking out. I glanced down and lightly stroked her cheeks. I also kissed her head.
A few minutes later, she stirred and opened her eyes slowly.
"Hi baby," I said lowly. She just stared at one place before closing her eyes. She opened it again and this time she didn't close it at all.
She was so alert.
Aziel walked in with the food and he put it on the table.
"She's awake," Aziel commented.
"Yeah,"
We heard the door open and Dr Georgia walked in.
"Hi again,"
"Hi,"
"Ohh she is awake and alert. You should start to make her latch onto you. Since she's awake, she'll do it pretty soon." Dr Georgia said and I nodded.
"You can put her clothes on her now if you want. Also, we'll have a few tests to make on her." She informed us.
"Sure,"
"The nurse will come to examine her soon."
She walked out and I turned to Aziel, "Can you lift up the bed more?"
"Yeah," he pressed the button by the side of the bed and it lift a little. I put a pillow under my arm before putting the baby in position to breastfeed.
"Do you want me to feed you?" Aziel asked me.
"Yes, what did you bring?"
"There are mac and cheese, ham sandwiches and avocado slices. All your favourites." He told me.
"I want to try the mac and cheese first."
He grabbed the spoon, opened the lid and started to feed me. I looked down and she was latching, slowly, but she was doing it.
"I already informed everyone that it's a baby girl. Now they are all eager to meet her and to know the name we chose for her." Aziel spoke.
"The name is as pretty as her." I smiled.
"Hmm, indeed."

It was now 11 p.m. Both Aziel and I ate, even the baby was fed and we were all ready to rest.
Aziel rocks her back and forth before putting her in the crib. I tugged the white blanket around her and pulled the crip closer to the bed. I was able to sit but walking was a little hard for me as I was still sore.
The food that Aziel bought was delicious and my stomach was full. I have enough energy to look after her at the night.
I felt Aziel's arm around me and I leaned into his hug. We were both sitting on the bed, staring at our little munchkin.
"You are awesome and amazing, do you know that?" He asked making me smile.
"Thank you, did you already put her name on the papers?" I asked him.
"Yes, and it's the same name that we decided for if we have a baby girl."
"Haelynn Anya Alvaro."
