《The Mafia Bride ♡》Chapter 36 {Bridget}

Catalaiya's pov:
The next morning, we both woke up around 8:30 am. Even when we had the thick curtains covering the glass doors, our room was bright. We remained in bed, both of us scrolling through our phones. I replied to Leo about the email he sent me and later today he will go to finalise the scheme with Nayvee.
"We should try the pool after breakfast," Aziel suddenly suggested.
"Sure," I agreed. I do want to swim today.
We stayed on the bed for ten more minutes before we both climbed off the bed. Aziel's phone rang, so he went on the patio outside to take the call while I went to use the bathroom.
I did my business, brushed my teeth, wash my face before picking an outfit for the day.
(Catalaiya's outfit⬆️)
I apply some sunscreen, some clear lipgloss and my waterproof mascara. I didn't do much to my hair, I only comb it and let my naturally wavy hair on my back. I checked myself in the mirror one more time before I stepped out of the bathroom into the bedroom.
As I walked to the bed, Aziel walked in. When his eyes landed on me, he stared at me.
"You look pretty," he commented making my lips curl in a smile.
"Thank you."
He gave me a nod before he walked to the bathroom. I quickly pulled the sheets in their place, fold the blanket the same way it was yesterday when we came and I put the pillows back in their place. When I finished, I walked to the curtains and pulled them to the corner letting the sunlight come into the room.
Damn it's bright...
I pulled the glass door opened and the light breeze slap me right in the face. I glanced at the pool and the sea and it looked so inviting.

"Should I put sunscreen?" I heard Aziel ask.
Considering that we would have to walk to the restaurant, walked back here, spent some time in the pool... all that in the shining sun.
"Yes," I answered loud enough for him so that he could hear me.
Did he bring his?
"It's on the counter," I told him.
He didn't say anything. Instead, he walked out of the bathroom, chest naked wearing only one of his grey shorts. In one of his hands, he was holding my sunscreen lotion bottle while in the other hand he had his t-shirt.
He wasn't wearing much but he look good...
"Can you help me? I can't reach my back," he said and I nodded. I walked closer to him, grabbed the sunscreen from him and he turned around showing me his muscled back.
Damn...
I put the lotion on his back before rubbing it on his skin. I massaged his bold shoulders before going down to his muscles. From there, I went to his lower back, slowly rubbing in the sunscreen. I also put it on his arms.
"Did you do your front?" I asked as I finished his arms.
"Yes,"
I kinda felt disappointed.
"Okay," I put the bottle on the bed table near my side. I grabbed my phone and my bag while he put on his light yellow v neck t-shirt. He also grabbed his wallet and his phone.
We both walked out of our cabin and made our way to one of the restaurants on the island. When we reached the front counter, one of the waiters approached us with a charming smile.
"Hi, I'm Bridget. I'll be your waiter for breakfast. May I suggest a nice place for you?" He asked looking at me.

I nodded.
He walked in front of us and we followed him. My eyes widened when I saw the place where we will be having breakfast.
It was already packed, but we were lucky to find one spot which was the fifth seat on the right.
"Settle down, I'll bring your menus," Bridget said before disappearing at the front. Both Aziel and I sat down and I put my bag beside me.
"This place is amazing," I commented.
"Hmm, it is." Aziel agreed.
Bridget came back and he handed us the menu card. He unexpectedly took out a red rose from his waiter vest and handed it to me.
"A beautiful rose for a beautiful lady." He smiled charmingly.
"Thanks," I politely smile as I grabbed it. He gave me a nod before walking away. I put the rose on the table before looking at the menu card.
"He's a little too friendly, isn't he?" I heard Aziel say. I looked up at him and found him looking at the menu card.
"Maybe that's how he is," I shrugged.
"I wonder if he ever got in trouble because of his friendly habit." He said firmly but it sounded like a warning.
I don't know if Bridget was friendly or if he was flirting, because if he is flirting then he knows the risks as I was wearing my ring on my finger.
"And even if he didn't... there is a first at everything." He added.
That's enough hint.
I silent look down at the menu card deciding what to order. Bridget came back and took our order.
"May I suggest you the sweet 'be my valentine' side dish... it takes most people in the clouds." He smiled at me.
"No, I'm good." I denied politely.
"Are you sure-"
"Yes, she is sure," Aziel stated, his voice hard. Bridget nodded and walked away. I glanced at Aziel and he was now looking at the sea beside us, his face blank.
I cleared my throat gaining his attention, "Can we go for a walk on the beach after breakfast?"
He nodded, "Sure,"
I smiled.
He put his right hand forward on the table making me look down at it. I looked back at him before putting my hand on top of his. He gave my hand a light squeeze.
A few minutes later, Bridget walked back to us. His eyes landed on our hands and he looked at me. He silently put our food on the table before giving us a nod.
I let go of his hand as we started to eat. I grabbed my fork and I took a bite of my pancakes.
"Wait, let me clean this space first," Aziel said and I looked at him confused.
Clean the space?
Everything was already clean. I watched as he reached to grab the flower that Bridget gave me earlier and he threw it in the water.
"Now it's clean."
