Catalaiya's pov:
Last night, after we had dinner, Thalia told me that Aziel called and said that he would come home late. He didn't say why he would be late but Thalia presume that he was stuck in a work.
I ended up working a few hours on my laptop, finishing one of the files. I sent it to Nayvee and when I glanced at the clock it was 1 am. Like the previous night, I let one of the lamps on as I hate to sleep in the dark.
I'm scared of the dark...
This morning when I woke up around 9:15 am, I was still alone. Again, he didn't come home yesterday. I know Thalia said that he would be late because of his work but what if there was another reason? What if he doesn't want to come here because I was here?
I mean everyone likes a little privacy in their room when they return home from work on a tiring day.
So I thought of a solution for this problem.
There was a lot of rooms in this house, I'll shift in one of them and he'll be free. Plus I won't feel bad for letting the lights on, as I would be sleeping alone.
I looked at myself in the mirror one more time.

I did dress up a little because I had a few things in mind that I wanted to do today. But first, let's have breakfast. I made my way downstairs and saw Thalia putting the plates on the table.
"Good morning," I greeted her.
"Good morning," she smiled.
"Where's Alfred?" I asked as I sat down by the dining table.
"When I left him this morning he was watering the plants in the backyard. He must be done by now, so he'll be here in a few seconds." Thalia replied.

Today we were having eggs with grilled toast and bananas.
As Thalia sat down in front of me, we heard a door close. A few seconds later, Alfred walked in, with a wide smile on his face.
He was in a happy mood.
"Ah, I'm hungry." He rubbed his hand together as he walked to Thalia while his eyes were focused on the food.
"Good morning dear," he greeted me making me chuckle.
"Good morning, "I greeted him back.
He sat beside her and we served ourselves.
"So... any plans for today?" I asked after a few seconds.
"Nothing," both Thalia and Alfred replied.
Hmmm good...
Alfred dropped his fork lightly on his plate, before looking at me.
"Do you need me to drive you somewhere?" Alfred inquired curiously.
"Actually we need to go somewhere," I replied making both him and Thalia, looking at me confused.
"Where?"
"To the fish store," I replied.
"You really want to buy those fish huh?" Alfred said and I nodded.
"We're all free, so why not go there and buy some fish for the pond," I added.
"Oh I can't come, I need to stay here in case Aziel comes home and need something but you two should go," Thalia spoke.
"Fine but I'll have to ask Aziel some money for the-"
"No," I interrupted Alfred."I'll buy them. No need to ask him money."
For some reason, Aziel has already this thought in his mind that I was here for his money. I don't want Alfred to ask him for money as I know he will misunderstand everything.
"You don't have to, he will-"
"No, I want to buy them," I reassured him.
"Ok, but do not spend much on those fishes alright?" Thalia warned us and we nodded.

After breakfast, I helped Thalia to clean up while Alfred went to change his clothes. Since we were alone, I took this opportunity to ask her about the other rooms of the house.
"Thalia, can I have one of the other rooms of the house?" I asked her as I dried my hand with one of the kitchen towels.
She dropped the towel in her hand on the counter before looking at me with concern in her eyes.
"Why, is everything okay?" She asked.
"Oh yeah, everything's good. I wanted to start painting again and I don't want to have all my stuff lounging in his room." I half lied.
Since Alfred suggested I start painting again, this idea was stuck in my mind. And now that I was working from home and I'll have more time for myself, why not start again.
"Ok, you can have one of the other rooms. I'll clean it for you." She says and I nodded.
"Thank you,"
Alfred walked in and we both walked outside to the car. We sat down and he drove us to the fish store. Once there, we were so amazed by the kinds of fish they had that we couldn't choose.
After thirty minutes of staring at all of them, we finally decided to buy some koi fish as their sizes were good for the pond.
We bought 6 red-orange dot koi fishes.
And 6 yellow goldish butterfly koi fishes, which was quite expensive. When he told us the total money we need to pay, Alfred looked at me wide-eyed. Let just say that I spend a couple of hundreds of dollars on them.
"How about we don't tell Thalia the amount of money it cost?" Alfred asked and I nodded. She warned us not to spend much on these fishes.
"Okay."
When we left the fish store, we went to target. I bought all the supplies that I'll need to start painting again; canvas, pencils, coloured pens, paints, all sizes brushes, glue, scissors, decorative stuffs and even a sketch pad.
I swiped my credit card and pay for everything.
When we reached home, Alfred helped me to get all the stuffs out of the car and Thalia was shocked by the number of things we bought. We acclimated the fishes for thirty minutes in the pond before we release them. We sat by the pond, looking at the colourful fishes swimming around.
It was peaceful.

This goodness has a name, and a face of salvation and I for one know I shouldn't get involved. Guess what I do? I get involved. Because even if I don't want too that's not really how fate works, is it? You don't pick and choose fates plan, you get slammed with it and good luck to your poor soul. This is my story, the kind that was written years before I was even born, and now I'm living it. Watch me make a mess of it too, because after all, I wasn't born to follow. P.S. This book is technically #1, but I have a book before this one that's about their parents. You learn more, and get a clue about their parents and why they are the way they are. Some of the conversations in this book would make more sense by knowing the past. It's not as well written, but if you can get thought it, I promise you'll love this one even more. Of course if you rather start here, then you do you! It will make sense either way! I tired to fill in all the gaps without it getting overbearing. You can always hop back to the book before this after.
