Light. White light. That's all I see.
When it all finally clears up I get a good look at my surroundings. My friends Britta and Sam are still laying on the ground passed out. I move my arm up to rub my head and feel eyes on me. "The heck?" I whisper. "Who are you?" I whip around to see boy about seventeen pointing a crossbow at me. He has curly brown hair with a beanie loosely placed on top. I look at him a bit more and see that he is wearing a military uniform. He also has a small messenger bag strung across his shoulder. Not gonna lie, he's kinda hot
He has an intense look in his brown eyes when he asks "well?". Fear pricks in my chest. "Uh-" He raises an eyebrow. "Lily..." His eyes soften as he lowers his crossbow. "Well Lily, I'm Wilbur, but you can call me Will." He sticks out a calloused hand to help me up and I grab it. He pulls a little hard and I stumble a little. He laughs and places a hand on my back to lead me away. "What about-" He cuts me off. "I'll have someone come pick them up"
We've been walking for about an hour when I feel my stomach rumbling. Will laughs and shifts his bag so that it's facing the front. "Here" he pulls out a chunk of meat and hands it to me. "Eat" I tear off a piece and pop it into my mouth. After I swallow I mumble a small thanks and continue walking in silence.
As we walk my mind starts to wander to who I will meet. Will they be nice? Would they wear the same uniform that will wears? What is up with the uniform? Will I get one? My thoughts are cut short when will says "we're almost there" He points towards a large black and yellow wall up ahead.

Once we reach the wall Will shows me the way to get in. We see a van with smoking pouring out with people running out saying things like "Tommy! I told you not to put the campfire in the van!" And "well how am I supposed to know that they give smoke?" I see Will facepalm next to me.
As we walk closer I notice all four people turn around to face Will and salute. He just nods and says "At ease solders". A short blonde boy walks up to me and introduces himself as Tommy, the two other boys, named Toby and Eret follow in suit. Next comes a girl that looks a little older than us and whispers "Nikki" and smiles shyly. Next comes a... furry? He says his name is Fundy.
Will turns to Toby and Tommy and whispers something that I hope is about finding Sam and Britta.
