Merlot × Stereo
FLUFF
///////////////////////////////////////////
Listening to the music from her earbuds, Stereo traveled down the rainy sidewalk. She was on her way home from work that she had been frequently going to lately. Merlot went missing about a week ago and in his shitty apartment was fur and claw marks. She was pissed at first but now she's stressed out from worrying and staying up the few hours she's off work to go fly around town.
Desperatly searching with no progress...its like he vanished flat off earth. She knows about how monsters dust but its too thick to float in the breeze, so if he....no he couldn't be. She lacked energy to currently fly or even fuction right now, but she trudged through it, needing to know he's okay. In the corner of her eye she spotted something black and red. She pulled a earbud out listening before she heard scuffling in the alley, widening her eyes she rushed to the alley way the creature dissapeared into.
Looking around the corner a figure was crouched down in the dead end, shadows concealing its body as a familiar red and yellow pupil stared back at her. "M-merlot...? Where have you been!! i've been worried sick about you, you bastard!!" She began to enter the alley in which the curled up figured snarled, trying to force themselves farther into the corner. "Don't growl at me asshat, you know you don't scare me. "
She paused stopping in her tracks as she seen a fur on his legs and arms, getting a better look she also seen ears..and a tail. "Merlot...?" They seemed to whine turning their head away. Slowly moving closer, he looked back at stereo snarling once more, his anger and sense of panick flaring as she was now just a few feet away. Quickly getting onto his feet he pounced, knocking stereo and himself off their feet. Now ontop of her, his hands propped himself up so he didn't completely crush her. He whined slipping on the soaked pavement as he struggled to stay up, his claws scrapping the ground.

"Hey hey, calm down! Its okay...god how did this happen to you.." She moved one hand to the panicking skele's head, placing her hand on his cheek. Freezing, his eyes travel back down to her, seeing her familiar eyes he relaxed, leaning into her touch. He tried to speak but no words came out, whining while leaning his head down nuzzling into the nape of her neck. 'She can't hear me...why..damn this...' Is all he could only think to himself as she wrapped her arms around him to a comforting way. Wobbily getting onto his back legs in a crouched positon he pulled her up with him, the fur of his hood tickling her nose as she breathed in his scent.
The comforting smell of cologne and mustard heavy in his jacket. "God i missed you...i was so worried..." She mumbled into his shoulder as merlots ears flattened. 'i-im sorry....i wish i could tell ya' how much i hate for ya' to worry 'bout me...' Stereo decided to stand up pulling merlot up with her as she looked to the rain filled sky "come on.. lets get home before one of us catches a cold.." He snorted in response, letting her grab onto his hand...paw as she led him to her house. The walk wasn't long before they reached the dark door, using her magic to flick the door open.
Leading him inside, she stopped him on the door rug. "Stay here and let me get you a towel" Watching her wander off into a hallway, he gazes over the interior of the home from where he stood. A minute later the now, dry stereo brought a large towel to him, helping him shrug his jacket off and placing it on the rack. She then took his left arm drying off the fur and bones, doing the same to his right. She made him sit down on the rug so she could get his legs dry before moving to his ears.

Being extremely gentle as she got the water out, his tail was a different story as he would snarl slightly when she grabbed it. "Unless you want to stay on this door mat hush, I need to dry it off" Rubbing his tail with the towel she proggressively got it to dry out, doing the same to his wings. He leaned closer to her resting his head back against her neck as he seeked warmth from her, his body trembling as his bones clicked together quietly. "Lets get you warm okay hun..?" He nodded quickly as they stood up again, merlot being moved to the couch with two blankets and a mustard bottle that stereo retreived from the kitchen.
She smiled as he looked alot better now, all cozied up and cared for. He looked up to her with red cheeks as he seen her smiling at him, for of course he didn't believe he deserved her care. He ran off in a blind panick that he got completely turned around and unable to locate her or his own home. He whined to get her attention wanting her to step closer "hm? what is it?" She walked closer as he smiled before quickly pulling her into the blankets with him, a small yelp emmitting from her. He curled around her, his arms wrapping around her torso snuggly as he nuzzled her neck once more. Giggling she rested against him, her arms set gently against his ribcage. "Love you merlot...even if your a jerk sometimes" He yipped as a response.
An thats how they stayed for the rest of the night cuddled up in blankets and listening to the drizzling rain

Kind’s Kiss
MAGIC DOESN'T KILL, NOT BY ITSELF. IT NEEDS A LITTLE HELP. Jessica DeRidder is a substitute teacher and mage in hiding, her daughter Ellen a killer on the run. Their next job lands the mother-daughter team in Hellhole, a small town in the middle of nowhere. All they need to do is their job. For Mom to identify the problem, and for Ellen to... fix it. Easy. Simple. But not this time. The pair find themselves caught in the struggle between the Man-in-White and the Wicked Witch of the West. A mysterious image and the theft of a deadly flower lead the pair to a score of dead prisoners, magical drug dealers, and red-eyed assassins falling from the sky. And somehow it all seems to be related to Ellen's murky past. All Ellen wants to do is do her homework, eat ice cream, and protect her newfound friends (not necessarily in that order). She'll go all-in, guns blazing. But when the smoke clears there may be nothing left but a stranger's past and a lonely future. --- 'Kind's Kiss' is a light, modern-day fantasy, easy on the magic, heavy on the snark. Though complete it is still a work in progress. One reviewer described it as 'Buffy meets Sabrina, as done by Tarantino'. I'm still not sure if I should consider that a compliment or hire a hitman :-)
