"You did what?!" Yuki, the male doctor, exclaimed with a slightly raised tone upon hearing from Toru. "You told him that right after he woke up!?" Yuki growled with fury, and Toru endulged in guilty silence. "That's enough" Mirai, the other worker, calmly warned, rubbing her forehead. "What happened just happened, no need to yell at him when he didn't know it was something wrong to do" she addressed Yuki, her tone stern and neutral. "But still, that might've caused irreversible consequences, thank God nothing major happened" she now turned to Toru. "Yet" Yuki continued for her, and she nodded in agreement. Heaving a remorseful sigh, she peered into Toru's large eyes. "No other agitation until he recovers completely." She warned, and Toru fliched from the seriousness around her. "He might also need a psychologist at some point. And I personally advise sessions. All we can do now is wait and see how the situation will unravel. Don't tell him anything unless he asks himself, and only, I repeat, ONLY if he were ready for it" Mirai instructed, leaving Toru no choice but to gesture agreement.

The guitarist walked back to Taka with heavy steps, solemnly pulling up a chair by the bed, where Taka was lying down again. "The doctor advised about some sessions with a psychologist." He whispered, lowering his face towards his lover's. "Do you want to go?" He gently asked, plantimg a soft kiss to Taka's forehead, gingerly walking his hands through the jet black hair. However, the latter shook his head. "I want to go home" he pleaded. "We'll go home soon, I promise. Focus on your recovery" the leader replied, smiling softly. Whether Taka was going to pester for answers or not was a matter Toru contemplated as he returned to his chair, grabbing an apple and a knife that lay silently on the tray placed on the bed stand. The blonde easily peeled the fruit, occasionally glancing at Taka's questioning eyes. He chuckled, smiling at his boyfriend. "Yes Taka, this is for you" he answered, hurrying in elaboration before Taka had the chance to protest. "I know that you don't like to peel them, but let's take it easy for now" he tried convincing Taka, slicing the apple in four.

Moriuchi shook his head as Toru offered him the slices, in which Toru returned with a frown. "You didn't eat anything since you woke up, and you missed lunchtime. I'll feed them to you if you didn't eat yourself." The younger answered sternly, once again positioning himself beside his beloved. "Look" he muttered, pointing at the open window. True that the hospital was plain and depressing, yet the view they saw was worth the visit. The tangerine skies stretched over the buildings, the inviting horizon blushed a rosy colour as the sun approached slowly. The flocks of birds were no more than black silhouettes, painted on the gentle dress of the sky. "It's beautiful right?" The guitarist's lips curved as he whispered, his heart strings playing a soft melody as he watched his loved one's fascination with the magnificent scenery. He has always been an excellent string instruments player, yet in spite of that, it was impossible to tame those of his heart when Takahiro was involved. His feeling rushed over him like a soft wave, like the comforting gush of the wind.

"There" he approached an unguarded Taka, who yelped a little at the sudden cold sensation on his lips. Toru laughed, waiting to see if Taka was going to grab the apple, but Taka merely bit on it, leaving the task of holding the fruit to his partner. "You're spoiled aren't you?" The blonde one smiled, carefully giving the dose of nutrients to the recovering vocalist, not helping a grin as he saw the satisfaction on Taka's face.

"Do you want a change of clothes? I went home and prepared a bag for you before you woke up" Toru asked, emerging from the bathroom after washing his hands. Taka inspected his body, only then noticing that he was fully dressed. He looked up in shock, hissing with indignation when Toru chortled. "Don't worry I was the one who took off the ugly hospital dress and put you in pyjamas after you came into this room. I might as well do it again" the leader bantered, winking at Taka whose face glistened with red. Directing his sight to his fidgeting feet, Taka nodded timidly, refusing to meet the contact with his boyfriend's eyes.

Disappearing briefly, Toru came back with a wet towel and a change of clothes, as he sat in an almost non-existent distance from Taka. He carefully took off Taka's shirt, his brows furrowed as he slid it over the IV drip. Toru tenderly wiped Taka's pale body, working in full steam effort to prevent any unnecessary thoughts from seeping in. As he finished up, he gave Takahiro a soft kiss, tasting the sweet taste of apples still on his lips. He edged away again, to return the towel and pack up the dirty clothes before going back to Taka.

"Say" Toru started, pulling the covers over Taka's legs. "Do you want to post anything about you waking up? The media is exploding and they're pursuing the agency" Toru casually stated, before backing away in fear, mentally cursing himself. Even after he promised to atone to his sin, he still carelessly made mistakes. "Omg j-just forget about that please. We should care less about what the media says now" He fumbled his words, his expression guilty and terrified. To his utmost surprise, Taka giggled. The petite one opened his arms, in an attempt to summon his idiotic lover. Heeding to the request, Toru crawled back to his dear one, defeated as he leaned his head into the crook of Taka's neck, sighing at the familiar sensation. Moriuchi's arms snaked around Toru's back, his cheek lying on the blonde nest. "It's okay" he reassured. "I'm fine. And, the fans must be worried about me right?" He reasoned, drawing a smirk from Toru. "Confident aren't we?" He teased, and a dust of pink painted Taka's cheeks.

As Toru got up to bring Taka's phone, he heard the ringtone of his own go off. Looking at the caller, it was the oldest one in the band together with the bassist. "A joined call huh?..." Toru murmured, losing it to his thoughts again. He thought it was weird, how their oldest and youngest have the strongest relationship, it was like the case of siblings. He swiped the vibrating button and received the call. First things first, he was scolded for not picking up earlier. He chuckled as he walked up to Taka, conveying to the rhythm duo that the latter has regained consciousness. Taka laughed loudly as Ryota's scream exploded from the microphone of Toru's cell. "They want to visit you" Toru mouthed their friends' messages, receiving a silent shake from Taka's head. "I prefer meeting them at home" he explained, and Toru nodded.

Home...Taka initially had two homes; his parent's house and the one he built with Toru. But now that his parents are gone, does that mean his home disappeared too? Was it burried in long memories he can't retrieve again? Unspoken though it was, they both agreed not to touch the sensitive topic of the Moriuchi couple again. At least not for now. They wanted to focus on Taka's recovery, and any psychological stress wasn't going to help in the slightest. Thus, Toru also kept Hiroki's reaction to the news to himself. Just when he was falling into another maze of thoughts, Tomoya's shriek pushed him back to reality. "Toru! Are you listening?" The drummer called, and Toru sighed apologetically. "Switch to a video call!" The youngest of the four urged, leaving Toru no choice but to obey his demanding tone. Was that really the same person who once feared Taka? He could still clearly remember Ryota running up to him when he wanted to say anything to the vocalist, and Toru served as the messenger.

"MORI-CHAN!!" Kohama yelled once the phone was handed to the singer. "Hi Ryota" Taka simply smiled, watching as Tomoya told Akito to run to his mother. "How are you feeling Takahiro?" Their oldest asked calmly, his lips curved. "I'm much better, I just appreciate if Ryota quits screaming" he sarcastically added, proud to himself as he made the other three laugh. He smiled at them, how could he possibly forget? He also had one third home, their band, their family. It might be weird to other people that he had multiple homes, but Taka believed that home is where there's someone thinking about you, where your heart feels at ease. "Now now, you noisy guys have to shut up, it's already dark outside" Toru shamelessly announced, hanging up on Ryota and Tomoya leaving them in protests. "It's still so early" Taka perked a questioning brow. "But you need lots of sleep" The guitarist countered, setting his phone aside. "And I haven't posted anything yet" Taka responded, and a look of realisation passed Toru's features. Again Toru moved away to bring Taka's mobile, with no interruption that time. After posting about his improving health to his anxious fans, Taka went to bed, sinking into seemingly endless, dreamless slumber.

Days have passed, and the days turned to weeks. Taka returned home, and his life was almost the same as it was before. Their work as a band was still on hold, giving him the chance to rest and sort things out properly. The nights were exhausting, to both him and Toru. That explains why he was stroking a sleeping Toru's hair at the moment, even though it was broad daylight. A while after the accident, Taka had developed nightmares, along with terrible terrors. He woke Toru up everyday due to his screaming and kicking, forcing the blonde to stay up comforting him, although the next day, only the feeling of guilt lingered as his memories faded away. Taka smiled softly, poking Toru's cheek as the latter was muttering something in his sleep. He wondered how lucky was he to be able to have Toru by his side, he wouldn't even know what would've happened to him weren't it for Toru being the first person he saw once his eyes knew light again.

Later they were cuddling lazily on a couch in the living room. Toru sat cross-legged, welcoming Taka's thin ones, laying on top of his, childishly swinging in the air. The vocalist's head leaned leisurely on Toru's chest, while his hand randomly rubbed the muscles Toru has developed. While the latter, still partiality sleepy, aimlessly toyed with Taka's hair, placing occasional kisses on top of his boyfriend's head. "Say Toru" Takahiro whispered, determination lacing his words. Toru hummed in response, peaking at his lover's facial expression. "Will you tell me?" Taka inquired, looking up, receiving a frown from the blonde one. "Tell you what?" He replied with a question, merely to confirm his suspicions.

"About everything" Toru shook his head, repeating the action more than once, as if in doing that, the sad reality would also shuffle. "But.." Taka protested, and Toru still didn't budge. "Not until you're ready" he answered, and Taka obviously didn't like it. "I am! I want to know!" He raised his voice, almost pleadingly. "You call your night terrors ready?" Toru refuted, causing a pout to form on Taka's features. "Please I want to know, not knowing anything isn't any less of a torture" the survivor reasoned, but Toru still didn't look convinced. "And what worse could happen yet?" Taka pushed his luck, pulling out an angry expression from Toru.

"Please?" The black haired entreated, his eyes almost sparkling. The leader sighed his defeat, knowing how stubborn his partner was, it would be an endless battle if he continued to refuse. Toru cleared his throat, and Taka sat back, listening intently. "After the crash happened on that stormy night, I was called to the site shortly after. When I rushed there as fast as I can, I was horrified, thought after another was rushing into my brain as I thought my life is over, I thought I lost you. On my way there, I kept scolding myself for letting you leave with your parents that late, if only I convinced them to stay the night, then you wouldn't have insisted on going over to their house to spend time with them" there was a short pause, and Taka's gaze softened. He placed his palm on Toru's cheek, in a gesture to let him continue, to let him know that Taka didn't blame him.

"I was told that the two in the front were completely crushed, it was over for them, while the one in the back was lucky enough to get out with heavy injuries, not death. They looked into your emergency numbers list on the phone they found by you, surprisingly not damaged. Seeing that your parents were...gone, they used the third number available, and it was mine." Toru gulped, his throat suffering drought. "Seeing you like that, drenched in blood, your life was in danger, it was...excruciating. No matter how many times I called you, you wouldn't respond, or even open your eyes. You were immediately rushed to emergency surgeries, long hours had passed before you exited, covered with tubes and bandages. It was tormenting, like my punishment for letting you go. A few days later, your condition completely stabilised and you were admitted to a normal room, yet, you were still unconscious, and no one knew when you'll wake up" Toru's voice hitched, yet he forced himself to continue. "Our work and tour were halted by the company, and we took care of your......parents'....funeral...." he paused, before finalising his speech "you only woke up a week later"

Toru went silent, and a deathly spirit hovered in the room. He looked at Taka, his head was lowered, he couldn't read his expression. "I couldn't even say goodbye..." he heard him whisper, and his heart throbbed painfully. Taka suddenly started trembling like a leaf on a windy day, and his breathing grew heavier. All sorts of memories of that night surged through him, even those he tried to forget, the pain, his parents, his mother's dead hand dangling in front of him, his father's scream of panic before the impact, everything. Cold sweat broke all over his body, and it was impossible to breathe. Something seemed to knock out his airways. Sudden pain drilled through his chest, and he clutched over it tightly. "T-to...ru" he croaked with difficulty, taking in large quantities of air, but nothing served right. His limbs grew ice cold, and it was a impossible to prevent himself from throwing up. His eyes welled in tears as his shivering grew uncontrollable.

Everything happened so fast that Toru couldn't process it. He sat petrified, his eyes wide as he watched his lover twitch mercilessly, his whole body drenched in sweat. "Taka?..." he called weakly, but there was no response, only a struggle for desperate breaths. He extended shaking arms towards Taka, his brain completely blank. "Taka answer me!" He begged, shaking Taka's shoulders, but nothing worked. Toru's dread only grew more intense, as he grabbed Taka towards him, sandwiching him as tight as his muscles could go. "Taka I'm here, everything is over, please" he screamed, but Taka seemed to be sucked into another dimension, his consciousness far from present. "Taka.." Toru stuttered, his own tears streaming silently, a quivering Taka in his arms.

Sorry if this chapter was too long😖 I'll probably finalize this one-shot (Flashback 28) in a third part next time once and for all, please bear with me
