《Flashback {Toruka}》Flashback 25

"Good work you guys!" Taka cheered as the band hurtled backstage. Laughter echoed in the changing room as Ryota gave turns in hugging his bandmates. "Takahiro how did you manage to fall?" Tomoya remarked with a hint of mockery, for which Toru continued as he used a towel to wipe his sweat. "Yet again" the leader bantered while sniggering at his vocalist, whose face flushed with red.
The frontman walked over to the counter, searching for his medical set in his bag, rubbing his neck gently. "Does it hurt?" Toru loomed in from behind him, stroking his shoulder soothingly. "It's fine, just a little ache" Taka smiled with a bit of hoarseness in his voice, his attention moving from his beloved to his phone that suddenly set off a somewhat unfamiliar ringtone. As he looked over at the caller ID, the shorter male's eyes went wide. "What is it?" The blonde questioned, finding the confusion in his lover's eyes unlikable. "It's rare for Hiro to call me, especially on a work day, like, very rare" Takahiro explained, still contemplating the vibrating mobile in his hand. "Don't panic, maybe he just missed you. Calm down okay?" Toru spoke with a tender voice, stroking Taka's head ever so slowly.
"Hello? Hiroki?" He picked up the call with caution, his hand searching for Toru's. "Toru-chan, is something wrong?" Ryota suddenly approached the couple, seeing Taka's unusual behaviour and sudden gloom. Toru only shrugged his shoulders, closing his hand on Taka's. "W-what did you say?!" The vocalist suddenly stuttered, colours draining from his face like water through a net. "HIROKI ARE YOU SERIOUS?" he screamed right after, his body shaking. The rhythm duo looked simultaneously at the guitarist, who frowned at the mutual panic of the Moriuchis. Within seconds, Taka was by the door, then left, speeding as if his life depended on it. "Taka wait!" Toru yelled after him, unconsciously starting to run after his boyfriend. "Taka!!" He called after him, trying to keep up with his incredible momentum, even though they just finished their exhausting show.
"Hold on a minute!" Toru finally caught up, out of breath. His fist held the slender man's arm, preventing him from running away. Inhaling the breath he lost, Toru looked at Takahiro. Panic, lots of it resided in his black eyes. His legs trembled, he suddenly seemed too small. "What happened?" The younger one asked, loosening his grip slightly. "Dad collapsed. He's in the hospital, in the emergencies" Taka choked out, the strain he put on himself to calm down far too obvious. "And where do you think you were running? Thank God the fans left, and you don't drive" Toru reprimanded. "But....Dad...he..." Taka tried to argue, his dark orbs sinking in a pond of salt.

"Baby listen to me" Toru tried to reason with the terrified man. "We'll go there together okay? I promise I'll take you there as soon as possible" The leader explained, placing his palm on Taka's cheek. "We'll just go home, take a shower to calm you down, you can't meet your father like this. You're still in your concert clothes" He reminded his partner, trying not to say anything that might cause another breakdown. "Then we'll go immediately to the hospital, I'll drive you there after I retrieve my car. Is that okay?" He finished, sighing in relief as Taka nodded. "Come on" Toru urged, wrapping his arm around Taka's slim shoulders.
As promised, the youthful couple left their house shortly after they entered it, mounting Toru's car together before setting off. As Toru concentrated on the road, he felt like he should've allowed Taka to run to his father as soon as possible, yet he couldn't let him meet him with such a mental state, not at the risk of it getting severe. After all, he promised to be his rationality when he goes unstable. He glanced to his side, watching how his petite lover pulled at his fingers, pressed at his skin while glancing around quickly. Toru's left hand slid from the stirring wheel and gingerly wrapped around both of Taka's, preventing him from hurting his hands. "Take deep breaths, I'm here for you. Mori-san will be just fine, I promise" he tried reassuring the vocalist, who seemed unable to process words at the time, only worry occupying his senses.
"Hiroki!" Taka exclaimed once they reached the emergency section of the medical institution. Being united with his brother for such circumstances, Taka felt bitterness. "Where? Where's dad?" The eldest Moriuchi asked hurriedly, looking from their youngest to Tomohiro, as a swift sound of wheels rolled towards them. Taka looked around, and his eyes went round. He turned promptly and ran toward the white bed nurses were dragging. "Dad!" He screamed, startling Toru who was some steps away, calling Ryota and Tomoya. "Dad please, talk to me" Taka begged with trembling eyes, shaking his unconscious father. "Calm down sir" one of the nurses begged, trying to remove Taka's hands from the patient. "Mori-san was examined and turned out he has a cancerous tumour growing on his lungs. It must be removed immediately, we already prepared a surgerical room, we only need your consent." The medical worker explained calmly, still trying to free Shinichi out of his son's grip. "C-consent?" He breathed in disbelief, the new information tugging down his raging brain. "Yes, please start as soon as possible. We'll proceed with the legal procedures once Dad is in there" Hiroki suddenly interrupted, placing a hand on his older brother's quivering shoulder.

The youngest pulled Takahiro's hand from his father, wincing as he saw the tears stream down his sibling's face. "Please" he muttered, his voice wavering "please save my dad" he implored the doctors, his eyes sinking back in tears. "Please save him, don't let him, don't let him d-" A sudden force stopped Taka, and he felt sturdy arms wrap around him. "Please take him now quickly" Toru asked the nurses, holding Taka firmly to his chest. The guitarist's arm squeezed Taka's back, while his other hand storked his hair, in a failing attempt to calm him down. "Taka please" he whispered, as Taka cried uncontrollably. He tightened his grip further around his loved one, his heart clenching at his heart wrenching sobs.
The hallway went silent, Taka's cries being the only sound echoing through the white walls. As time passed, tension rose considerably between the Moriuchi brothers, each of them taking quick glances at the surgery room, silently praying for their father's safety. "Taka" Toru called again, walking his broken vocalist to a seat by the wall, gently setting him down, Toru crouched in front of him. He held his hands in his, smiling. "It's okay. Everything will be fine, I promise. Mori-san will refuse to leave you. I'm pretty sure he's fighting to come back to you now" he assured, gently stroking Taka's hands. "Please don't be hard on yourself" Toru beseeched softly, placing a tender kiss to his lover's knuckles. "Ryota and Tomoya will be here soon. Tomohiro and Hiroki are here. We're here for you" Yamashita elaborated, seating himself beside Taka, whose chest slowly stopped heaving.
As Toru adjusted his position, Taka leaned his head towards the man's chest, his hand holding on to Toru's shirt. In turn, the latter wrapped his arm around his delicate lover, slowly transferring his warmth to the depressed vocalist. "Close your eyes and take some rest, you put out a lot of energy today" Toru ordered, securing his arm around Taka to assure him further. As Taka tried to protest, Toru firmed his tone "just do it Taka, I'll wake you up as soon as Mori-san gets out" he tried convincing the frontman, who by that time already had his eyes drooping.
A while later, the oldest and youngest of the band joined the wait. As they hurried towards them, they were calling for Taka, only to be hushed by Toru. "Concerts already drain him, then he cried a lot. He has no energy left, let him sleep" he explained, his thumb grazing Taka's reddish eyes. "Everything is going to be better soon...right? Toru-chan" Ryota inquired softly, looking at the ground while Tomoya walked over to the other Moriuchi brothers, offering them something to eat. "Food always comes first when Tomoya's present doesn't it?" Toru chuckled, trying to cheer his childhood friend, who smiled with little acknowledgement.
The clock ticked in the deathly silent hallway. Taka snoozed softly on Toru's chest, who listened intently to every breath the shorter one took. Red lights flipped to green, and the four guys jumped in surprise. "Taka!" Toru called, trying to wake up the sleeping figure, fulfilling his previous promise. He then smiled softly, kissing Takahiro's forehead. "Hey, baby wake up" he tried again, sensing a flutter in Taka's lids. "The doctors are done" he said as a doctor exited the door, which Shinichi Mori lied beyond. Ryota, Tomoya, Hiroki and Tomohiro ran towards the one in green clothes, while a drowsy Taka walked by Toru's side. "The patient is going to be just fine. The surgery was a success" he gave a report, watching how his counterparts' faces beamed. "You hear that Taka??" Toru turned to the oldest Moriuchi, who had his hand covering his open mouth. "S-so..he'll be back right? He'll still call me and we'll still go out together?" He questioned, the corners of his eyes brimming with tears. "Yes Taka yes!" Toru replied happily, shaking Taka's shoulders to wake him from his shock. "Toru.." Taka called weakly, his knees faltering, jumping in his boyfriend's arms once again, a smile adorning his face.

The Plant Dungeon
I wrote this a while ago at my website. It is a mix of cultivation/dungeon with a few LitRPG themes, but not enough to justify the tag. I am migrating it here, so I don't have to keep paying WordPress for the site. I will continue writing this. So... Now for the synopsis. Follow the life of an unusual adventurer who got turned into a dungeon. Well... that was short. I guess I would just suggest reading the first few chapters to see how you like it. (remember, if enough people ask for it, I will continue writing it.) I have no Idea who owns the picture I used for the cover. If you want it down PM me and I'll take it down.

They while away their time frozen in body and plugged into a simulation in mind waiting for a new planet to explore and colonize. Still, space is a place large enough for a surprise or two as our protagonist, the underqualified Mike Jackson (no relation) is soon to find out. ~~~ I will be posting chapters here and on my wordpress blog-thing, hopefully within minutes of each other multiple times a week. Currently on hiatus. If I get back to writing this one, it will be after I tweak it to make it feel less like an empty world with too many extras in the background.
