《Flashback {Toruka}》Flashback 17

Toru cracked his dark orbs and looked beyond; dark. Black is all he saw for what seemed like miles. In a wave of anxiety he walked rapidly searching for any sort of light. As he marched forwards, his fear increased dramatically with every step. Beads of sweat rolled down his flushed skin as he accelerated in pace. The blonde man started skipping steps unconsciously, almost ran midway.
Where am I??
The same question ran through his momentary frozen mind as he dashed forward through the dim place. At last, after an eternity of fear and sprints, his eyes landed on a bright square at the end of the tunnel. The forsaken guitarist hurtled towards the light and ran across it hoping to find refuge from the eerie place beyond, however, he found himself falling into a swirling abyss without a known bottom.
As his subconscious played tricks on him, Toru's sleeping figure started producing whimpers loud enough to wake up Taka who was lying right beside him, placing his head on the guitarist's chest which now held his racing heart. Immediately grasping the situation, Taka rised to his elbows and tried waking Toru up, who at that point was calling Taka's name with some tears forming at the edges of his squeezed lids.
Inside his dreamland, his nightmare at that, Toru has fallen into what looked like their beloved living room. He straightened his bulky figure and walked to the couch right away. There he found Taka, sinking in a pool of his own crimson blood. As if he was struck with a spell, Toru stood there rooted to the ground, tears cascading down his cheeks as ghosts swam in his pupils. He held the small figure tight and sobbed. Even though he very well knew it was a nightmare, he couldn't help but cry. His beloved, his soulmate.

Toru was drenched with Taka's blood at that point. He prayed for someone to wake him up, for something to throw him out of that creepy land he had fallen to.
......Toru
He looked down, it was Taka's voice, but the Taka in his arms was already motionless.
Toru
Again. He looked around and suddenly realized; Taka was calling him. The real Taka, his fiance back in their lovely bedroom, away from the hideous dreams he was experiencing.
"WAKE UP TORU" he heard Taka shout as his eyes fluttered open. Toru straightened his back and looked around, he was still in bed, still covered in the white blanket, still beside Taka. The shaken man was drenched in cold sweat when the vocalist tucked him in a tight embrace. "Don't worry" he said "it's just a dream" Taka patted Toru's back "I'm here" he soothed.
Toru closed his eyes, Taka's dying figure still vivid behind his lids. The sticky sensation of blood haunted him. What was the meaning behind all that? He asked himself as he burried his nose in Taka's neck and tightened his grip around his precious lover. Taka was still very much alive in his arms, still shone with colours of energetic souls. His body was warm, still raged with energy.
The soothing words Taka was murmuring finally broke the barrier of Toru's thoughts and spilled onto his mind. The older man felt Toru's muscles relax considerably before he pulled from the hug. Not far away though, only the minimum distance needed for him to look at Toru. He sighed in relief when he noticed the change in Toru's features. The crying sleeping figure was long gone now, his eyes showed serenity as he stared back at Taka.
"Are you feeling better now?" Taka wondered softly, swiping Toru's wet bangs from his forehead using his tender fingers. Toru merely nodded, before melting himself into Taka's arms again. The vocalist only smiled at the other's action, returning his man's cuddle. "Let's go back to sleep ok?" Toru hesitated, but before he could respond to Taka's proposal, the latter pursed the matter. "Don't worry, I won't let go" He indicated, clutching a little tighter at Toru's back. "I will never let you go, my love"

The Bettor's Oath [A Dark-Modern LITRPG]
We live in a world where the rabbit’s foot helped win the game. Following that logic, tell me, what happens when the odds are flipped against the strong and a god rises to give the weak their right for revenge?~Last segment of the First Monarch's speech before the Lablanca battle. Lothar Ardolf, an alcoholic 27 years old high school teacher, was one of the many men who failed to catch up to life. When everyone around him worked to leave a mark behind, he idled away between states of short sobriety and static numbness, hoping that one day everything would resolve itself. It took little to wake him up. Only a life, soul, and body changing experience.Thrust into a world of cheap power and tyrannical governments, where a man could rival what is true and alter what is false, he was tasked by an elusive being with befalling titans. He wakes up in a prison with a path laid in front of him; one that would challenge all the resolve he has and more. Intertwined in a convoluted scheme of politics and old grudges, he will need to learn how to wield his new powers in order to escape before the secrets of the prison threaten to unravel him. However, he shortly realizes that his new faded fantasy was not a fairy tale. All that awaits him in the end, for standing against the world, is death. That is, if the three sided coin lands on heads. If it lands on tails... The shadowbane army rises. ...... This story is a neo-noir dark LITRPG in a world similar to earth. Take the tags seriously. I've been working on this project for 6 months and my MC is a bit unconventional, so I'm excited to introduce you all to him. Beware, it will be a slow-burn, so please be patient. The main plot will start to kick up at around chapter 15. I will be writing about racists, rapists, cultists and horrible humans. I do not condone or excuse their behavior or choice of words but the first arc will be in a prison and (some) prisoners don't mince their words. My MC doesn't adapt to the new world immediately because that is not realistic at all. It takes time and because of his personality, it will take more than a system to convince him to do someone else's bidding ;) Each chapter will have around 3000+ (give or take) words. I will be updating 2-3 times a week (depending on how busy I am with work and/or college) when I'm done publishing my backlog (Which is very big, 40,000+ words). **Each comment gets rep! Cover art by @tahraart on Instagram. Link to discord: https://youtu.be/91wX0NRjJqg Have a good one, Pistol. **** THE STORY IS ON TEMPORARY HIATUS. WE WILL BE BACK IN 2 MONTHS. SORRY EVERYONE.

Starlight Antiquities
There is a place in the galaxy that deals in antiquities of all kinds, human and non-human alike. Its inventory of artifacts is colossal as is its inventory of mercs who they hire to acquire any artifact a client may wish that is yet to come into their possession. The ill-reputable business is constantly rubbing against the changing tolerance of the Union's government, and there are many security officers who would love nothing better than to vaporize the whole place with its owners inside. Yet, there are many tasks that nobody can do better, especially in the vastness of deep space where Union law is worth less than the energy needed to display it. One of its jobs involves finding an artifact that may not only hold the future of the human race but may also disturb the balance of the whole galaxy. *** While waiting for the next season of Mandalorian and the Witcher, and rewatching Firefly for the gazillionth of time, I decided to write this space-based series. The series has some litRPG elements in it, but it does not read like one. So, you won't run into any blue screens here. Yet, I wanted to use litRPG to give another dimension to this whole story and make it as unique as possible. This is a work-in-progress. Hope to keep on improving and fixing my mistakes as I go along.

A mercenary that happens to be a princess of fae, but prefers to stay in a well-known établissement instead of staying in the Sidhe. Moira. Though she always tends to get by, especially when she gets home to the Tavern on the edge. The mentioned établissement is run by the formidable Barkeeper and jack of all trades Tora, who happens to have a very interesting past. Which involves more than one sinister secret... Now add to the mix a totally clueless elven girl - a mortal, not a fae- on the run. Lunara. She has unknowingly struck a deal with the devil - quite literally. Now unable to handle the consequences on her own she enters the tavern on the edge. An epicenter for magic and the only place where she might find help. She talks Moira into helping her out. A race against time begins as the deal's symbols appear on Lunara's skin. The journey leads to the dwarven empire, the sidhe and wherever the crossing leylines under the tavern may lead. This fiction belongs to the same universe as Ancient Blood. English is not my native language, so please don't be harsh. This story is an adaption of an idea, that we, a friend of mine and me, have developed over a few months while taking a break from learning. Some parts were written by Emberspark. Thank you for allowing me to work with your ideas and letting me publish this as a whole. Updates... I will try to frequently update both of my fictions... Well in case you are interested I post it on Scribble hub, too. I really don't steal from myself 😂

Luster
Growing up with her recently deceased mother’s addiction and her own struggles with gender identity, June Fujiwara was not a nice person. Gaining powers from nearly being murdered didn’t change that, and neither did becoming a mercenary to fund her transition. It took horrific manipulation, the resulting trauma, and the family that helped her through it all. Luster is a derivative work based on Worm by Wildbow (John C. McCrae) that begins prior to Worm and although it doesn't show straight away, the story is very AU.
